A Maxis Match Lighting Mod Tweak!

As requested by @jellymeduza I'm sharing my tweak of @dreadpirate's fabulous Maxis Match lighting mod. This makes the unlit rooms during dawn and dusk a bit brighter (closer to how they appear at nighttime) and tweaks the colour-cast a bit too. The photos above are all four time of day states including with my tweaks - but nothing about day or night was actually changed from the original MM lighting mod.

Below are all the before and after pictures for dawn/dusk next to each other - before is the MM lighting mod "out of the box" and after is with my tweaks.

How to install:

Download the Maxis Match lighting mod exactly as per dreadpirates instructions. (don't worry about the part on enabling or disabling dawn and dusk states, that will be included in my edit)

Replace your lighting.txt file with mine included in this download - this will be in your base game install folders, for the UC the file path is "Double Deluxe/Base/TSData/Res/Lights" and you'll be overwriting the lighting.txt file in there with mine.

Last conversion for this week, to end this week i decided to convert cc that is currently paywalled because FUCK PAYWALLERS :)

Even tho I have a couple of WIPs waiting for me, I had to convert this adorable dress from the new Grunge Revival kit! This soft grunge vibe reminds me of my high school sad girl tumblr era lol 🐸

And what is a true grunge outfit without some wooly socks and vintage boots? I paired the dress with Echo lake boots by @sforzcc and @clumsyalienn’s Ren socks.

The dress is for AF & TF, has 9 swatches, both morphs and 4,190 polys; the socks and the boots have 6,453 polys.

I also converted the choker from the kit (AF-TF, 4 swatches, 3,988 polys) and the key earring (AF-TF, 4 swatches, 372 polys)- preview pics under the cut.

[4t2] Alertz Burglar Alarm

Hi there y'all! Since the last update for The Sims 4, burglars are back (10 years later-), and with them, a nice burglar alarm. This item got my attention and I wanted to port it to The Sims 2, but I don't had the game installed because ~Hard Drive Space issues~. However, I found the model out there, so I decided to port it finally!

I've found a few problems with it at the time to port to The Sims 2. For example, originally the led screen was attached to the green/red led, with no editions at all, which made the entire alarm to look green! Then, my second option was to simply edit the mesh and add it over the base alarm, so yeah, behind the led screen theres the actual turned off alarm, very clever! So I believe that if you didnt paid your bills and they cut the lights, I think the turned off screen wil be shown instead (didn't tested).

(The video is an old version with no glow)

It will switch between blue and orange (depending if a burglar activated it or not), however, sound effect couldn't be replaced with the TS4 version. If the cops arrives in time, the alarm will be deactivated and switch back to blue.

In order to make it functional, you'll need to download the Custom Burglar Alarms by MidgetheTree, otherwise, it's just a nice paperweight with no use :)
