As a non POC, this is so important. POC deserve to feel listened to and understood! Especially in therapy! We need to do better.
Day 7
You can go next if it means that much to you
Spent the thanksgiving weekend to doodle this. How to Train Your Dragon is my all time favourite movie ever!
“For ten years, I have done the best I could to raise you. Have I been perfect? No. Do I know anything about children? No! Should I have picked up a book on child care? PROBABLY! Where was I going with this? I had a point.”
— Augustus Aquato
Tom and Maddie spend a lot of time with Sonic. Naturally. They're adopting him. He's a part of their family. They understand his moods, his behaviors, his likes, his dislikes, and (unlike many people out there) his powers.
So knowing that - knowing that they're some of the only people who watch him use his speedster powers day in and out - I have a very serious question for the fandom;
Can they catch him?
I don't mean catch up to him. That would be impossible.
I must mean that, like any good parent, these two people have memorized his movements and patterns, and if he were to get out of control one day (at their house, at Tom's station, in Maddie's office, on the baseball field), either one of them could square their shoulders, bend their knees, roll their neck a few times, ready their arms, and (keeping their eye on the blue blur) actually manage to swipe him out of the air.
And he'd just be dangling in their arms, little feet pumping, staring at them like that picture of the hawk that was so absolutely offended and shocked that it was snagged by a random lady in her yard like
Serious question guys.
Could they catch him?
Had a dream I flipped the bird to a man who jumped in front of my car
He sent his friends and his neighborhood to hunt me down
And in that dream I lay bare with half of myself under an Ottoman
As a man lay down beside me and asked me why I hid from him
I wanted to expose myself but I felt I was too impure
It'd been months since I took a razor to the forest growing on my legs.
I did not tell him this.
It would not help him love me
I imagined him reviewing me, something about shapely thighs
Perfect skin and curves and eyes you could get lost in
And then I woke up, fully clothed and stainless and un-deforested
Hidden under a blanket, reviewless, with no man wanting to view me.
Yet Lana has been glorifying abuse in her music for years and you're sleeping
Of fucking course
What sick bastard doesn’t
frazie: one time i was talking to a girl and accidentally told her ‘i’m lesbian’ instead of ‘i’m lithuanian’

This image alone proves that HTTYD1 Toothless will always be scarier than in 2 and 3 (especially 3). He had his moments all throughout the first film yes, and all of them were absolutely spot on in getting us to be afraid of this very dangerous, unknown creature. But this image - this image.
Toothless has just tackled Stoick the Vast. Berk's most capable adversary against the dragons has been overpowered like it was nothing. And Toothless is about to end him.
