I’m surprised it took so long but we had the first squirrel visit the bird buddy today! It looks like they outsmarted the squirrel baffle by hopping to the feeder from the roof of the house.
This is such a local oddity but a family of Egyptian geese live in the pond in front of the movie theater and it’s so fun to see them being so out of place.

It’s so interesting to see how these two interact on the feeder together, sharing at first but then taking their time solo too. Such nice birds!

Breakfast was interrupted for this female cardinal when my dogs made an unexpected cameo and ran into the backyard where they scared her from the feeder! Bonus points for the squirrels who also went running when they heard the dogs approaching.
