Based on these tweets.

Adam saying, “I can’t go through this again. If you go, don’t expect me to be here waiting when you come back,” and then the next shot cutting immediately to Keith waiting by Shiro’s side, wholeheartedly committed to staying with him through this no matter what…that’s powerful stuff.

In which Keith still thinks Shiro is unavailable and would rather keep his feelings to himself, while Shiro has finally realized everything plus his own feeling a little too late.

I was so afraid. Afraid that my one wrong move would make you flee. 

Only after you left did I realize, that all this time, you were terrified by my silence.
