In the spirit of us imagining what Danny Phantom would be like if it was rebooted today, I went ahead and re-composed the theme!
Feel free to use this for anything, just credit me if you do! If you need the audio file, message me and I’ll send it to you.

pjo au where shortly after the war nico dies and turns into a rather obscure deity. later, young demigods start showing up alone at camp borders. when asked who brought them, they always talk about a pretty person with wings on their head and back, covering a face that wore a black crown. time passes, and a young, tiny child of Hekate, maybe 4, appears. when asked, the child says how there was this boy with wings over his face that brought her, and that the boy tells the child that his name is nico before kissing her head and leaving. shit hits the roof.
Featuring: The idea that Mike is the only one that’s allowed to call Richie ‘Rich’ and Richie is the only one that can call Mike ‘Mikey’
Again: reminder that this is modern setting
-Richie is used to hiding all of his emotions, but Mike ALWAYS knows when something is up because he gets quiet and shuts people out
-So whenever he notices Richie is feeling upset he’ll convince Richie to act sick with him so Karen will call the school and tell them that the boys are sick (funny how when IT was a problem Richie and Mike were sick a lot more often)
-But Karen is a working woman so the boys are home alone
-So Mike is like “Okay Rich, it’s time for a movie marathon”
-They watch whatever Richie wants and eat food
-Usually after a while Richie will tell Mike what’s wrong (he cries but will never admit it) and they just sit and talk about it and Mike will either just listen to him rant or give his advice about the situation
-Some of these problems consisted of his crush on Eddie (“Just go for it Rich! I see the way he looks at you!”), his fight with Bill (“Really? His brother just DIED Rich, just do the right thing and help him!”), etc.
-By the end of the day Richie usually feels much better
-They’ll both magically feel better at the end of the day and Karen has caught on tbh but let’s her boys take the day off because they both do well in school (seriously you’d never guess it but Richie is an honor roll kid and does better than Mike is some classes) and deserve a break sometimes
-Bonus: after Eddie and Richie get together Mike texts Eddie and he will come by after school and Mike goes upstairs and lets the two be in the basement alone for a while— then they usually invite him down and they’ll watch Richie’s guilty pleasure show (it’s Good Luck Charlie and y’all can fight me on this)
-Late at night they’ll be laying down in bed and Mike will hear “Thanks Mikey… today was really helpful”
-When Mike is upset he’ll pick fights with everyone and act out
-So for example: when Richie asks Mike what time it is and Mike responds “You’re the one with glasses, look for yourself you son of a bitch”(Richie can tell when Mike is joking or not and he was not joking) Richie knew something was up
-People usually leave Mike alone when he does stuff like this (which is honestly what he wants to happen), but when has Richie ever done what others do/what they want him to do?
-So he’ll ask Mike what’s wrong repeatedly what’s wrong until he gets so annoyed that he confesses
-And the two will stay up all night talking about what’s wrong
-Richie will sneak down to the kitchen and get snacks and then come up to the room and he and Mike will sit in the top bunk and eat and talk (funny how when El was missing Mike refused to eat the Eggos Richie brought/there were a lot more midnights spent talking)
-And it’s one of the few times Richie doesn’t crack jokes because he knows that it’s not easy for Mike to open up and he wants to make it easy on him
-When Mike is finished talking Richie will just reassure him that everything will turn out okay (“That asshole Troy will get what’s coming for him don’t worry”, “Mikey, I promise you one day you’ll see Will again”, “Listen, I know how much El means to you, and I tell you Mikey, she’ll come back eventually”, etc)
-And Mike always feels somewhat better afterwards because Richie is one of the few people that have never let him down, so if he says it will be okay then Mike will be damned if it’s not
-If things get really bad Richie calls in reinforcements (El—Richie ran into the problem of not having reinforcements when she’s not there so he’d bring up a blanket from the fort)
-It doesn’t matter how late it is or how much she has to beg Hopper— she’s there
-She comes in and climbs up (Richie gives them some space and goes to his own bunk) and she’ll just hug him and reassure him that she’s here and isn’t going anywhere and they’ll fall asleep like that (and because Richie is the best brother ever he wakes up early the next morning to wake them up and get El out before Karen comes in)
Danny gets his first adult job as an ice sculptor. As a freelance artist he can set his own hours and make his own contracts. He earns a reputation for being able to deliver large, complex sculptures on a tight schedule. Rumor has it that he uses a special chemical formula for his ice to make it last longer. His early work started a bit rough around the edges but as the years pass his craftsmanship and creativity vastly improve.
he’s a firebender!
This is based on decades of experience as an uncle and as an older brother.
Never forget that children are just as much people as adults are.
Kids 10 years or younger (and sometimes older than that) don’t get sarcasm or irony, so don’t use them.
If a child has difficulty pronouncing a word, don’t copy their misprounciation when speaking to them. They can hear the word just fine. It could sound to them like you’re making fun of them.
(Yes, this means no babytalk)
Don’t be dismissive.
Listen to what they’re saying.
To get on the same eye-level, don’t bend over or squat: it seems condescending. Kneeling or sitting are better.
It should go without saying that you should respect children’s body autonomy. Don’t force affection on them.
Respect children’s emotional autonomy as well. Let them be angry. Let them be sad. Don’t force them to be happy.
Let children like things. Don’t run down the things they like just because you find them cringy.
Don’t think that you know better.
To children, adults are giants. Be a big friendly giant.
Don’t stifle children’s curiosity.
Don’t stifle children’s enthusiasm.
To quote Sondheim, “Be careful the words you say, children will listen.”
Don’t look down on children.
Danny owns a traveling space auditorium
like, if the boy can’t be able to go to space the normal human way because of his physical condition then he can at least center his life around the one subject he is so passionate about.
So a space auditorium it is, and not just a normal auditorium but a traveling one.
Why?
Well for one, Danny has to be on the move in a way, first from the GIW because they are the ones that have their mission of finding, capturing, and experimenting on ghosts. If they manage to find out that Danny is a halfa then they would go after him to study him and to contain him for the "protection" of others. If they don't know he is a halfa but someone who does know about ghost and suspect he is helping them then Danny is their ticket to finding those ghost. So yeah, reason one is GIW.
(Or you can also add the bad Fenton parents route and see how that goes as well)
Another reason is that this makes it an excuse for Danny to find and transport other ghosts from the human realm to the Infinite Realms whenever he hears slight rumors of other ghostly activities. It also gives him a chance to content his protection obsession
But it also gives him a bit of freedom, a chance to get out and be free from the need to stay up all night and skip out on school or be at the end of his parent's own inventions. To be able to travel without a destination and show the world his own world of wonders seem like such a personal and amazing way for Danny to live his childhood dream as an astronaut.
...and maybe an excuse to have Danny to visit Dani once or twice
But in any case!
Danny's traveling space auditorium is a tent in which people can go in and see the stars all around them. It's like the tent suddenly became big as with each step they take they felt the explosions of stars and the creation of galaxies, the rings of Saturn that feel a touch away, nova's that have colors only those with meta genes can see right in front of them, the heat of the sun as fire curls around them and the ride of shooting stars that pass the asteroid belt. With the use of Danny's powers, he can create scenes in which he had experiences in both the Ghost realm and in space.
But his favorite is when he creates the grande finally of entrapping everyone with stars, from the top of their heads to the very souls of their feet. Everywhere they walk or see there would always be stars as if they were in space itself. Danny always felt joy when the small 'stars' around them can be moved by them and watched in glee as children make a game of collecting the prettiest stars, how the adults laugh in awe and the elderly given a smile on their faces.
The first time he tested this was in the inside of his room with Jazz who quickly gained a hug and an excited Jazz over the use of his powers and his love for space. Sam and Tucker were the next to experience his little space auditorium. The joy they showed only made Danny more eager to share his little gift.
Once he grabbed a tent and did enough practice he traveled to the next town over and made cape there, nervous of the reaction of strangers would be.
He didn't need to worry as he was given praise after praise.
One show became two, then two to three, and then three to ten.
Word of Danny's traveling space auditorium spread quickly which actually got demands from other states since Danny, at first, only starred in his traveling space auditorium in the state. But now he's been getting all sorts of requests from all over the country.
And because it's the era of social media, his traveling space auditorium boomed.
It boomed to the point where he even got Martian Manhunter to see his auditorium. Martian Manhunter!
That was the best day of his half-dead life
At least, it was until he visited Gotham.
Why you may ask?
Well on the third day of his visit there was a murder inside his tent.

hi [name of person],
this formatting is making me uncomfortable but I have to tell you something / ask you something that is vital to my career as a student.
I re-read and edited that sentence for an hour, but you’ll probably just glance over it for half a second.
thanks!

This is the feelings wheel by Geoffrey Roberts, shown to me by my therapist. My initial thought was, "what amazing synonyms to use for diverse emotional vocabulary!"
More than that, this wheel is great for understanding your characters inner motivations and reactions to situations. For example, if a character constantly feels helpless, then their overarching characteristics will be that they are fearful.
Characters who are less emotionally aware may use words and act in the inner most circle. Those much more aware of their emotions may describe themselves or express and use words from the outer most circle.
Hopefully you guys find this as helpful as I did! Let me know down in the comments.
Happy Writing!
