As you might be aware I have big feelings about all besnouted creatures, but recently something has been grating on me. Sometimes, when people draw a snout animal, they draw the snout as a nose with the mouth as a separate entity underneath. This is a stylistic choice I greatly dislike because a snout or trunk is, by definition
A COMBINATION OF THE NOSE AND UPPER-LIP.
You can see here that the snout is not a separate entity from the mouth in these mammals, but is a fleshy protuberance emanating from the upper jaw.
You can see in this illustration how a more anatomically accurate snout position gives an anthropomorphic pig a degree of charm that an inaccurate snout position does not.
Snout positioning can make or break a character design for me.

I love and appreciate the writers, but I hate when reader is having body image issues and she’s like “do I look fat” and the character tells her “of course no, why would you think that” as if it was something bad, why can’t we normalize fat body, and not only talking about plus size bodies, I mean the ones that are not curvy, the ones that the fat is localized in every part of the body besides hips and breast.
Why are we still so afraid of the word “fat”? I wish I could read a fic where reader is like “do i look fat?” and the character answers “yes, but that’s not something bad. You look amazing”.
Even when you write plus size!reader fics she’s always being so insecure.
Let’s embrace fat bodies. Fat doesn’t equals unhealthy. Let’s keep in mind that a fat/plus size body is not always curvy.
Obviously, I hope that everyone in Ukraine stays safe and Ukrainians deserve all of our support right now but I also wanted to say that my heart goes out to all people in Eastern Europe and Central Asia who have been living with the fear of Russian intervention for years and now see their worst fears come true. I see so many posts about how "we shouldn't worry as Westerners because the war will not affect us directly" and while this is absolutely true, I wanted to take a second to acknowledge those who do have to live with the fear that it might affect them directly. I don't have anything more to offer than words and it's not worth much but if you are from Poland, Estonia, Kazakhstan or any other country close to Russia or Ukraine and you are afraid because you don't know what the current events means for the future of your country, I am with you in thought and sending you a warm hug with this post.
There'll be a moment when you realise you're 27 when yesterday you were just 17; and you wouldn't be able to tell how a decade passed away and your life got divided into before and afters. The fury of youth will subdue and nothing will really change but everything will feel different when you look at old photographs and blurry videos taken on cheap mobile phones. Scents will remind you of childhood and certain friends you don't talk to anymore, hangouts will become reunions and mom's burnt pie will become the best food you ever had. And I know on some days you won't be able to show anything of those 10 years but I hope you remember to breathe, and let go of the knot in your chest. I hope you go out in the sun and live a little, because tomorrow is 37.

one of my greatest sorrows in life is tiny notebooks. i love them and yet they torment me. they are so cute and yet so useless. you can carry them everywhere but at what cost. your hand will always fall off the edge and it will always feel like you’re writing at the bottom of the page
