Another Earth-Like world I have come across in the Large Magellanic Cloud Galaxy. This one has two moons and a rather cold surface with lots of ice covered mountains.

The sky of a large moon orbiting a gas giant right before an eclipse.
We have gone deeper in the Triangulum Galaxy. We are now only 1,473 light years from the NGC 604 Nebula. Our next system is the O’Sirus System, a dim Orange Dwarf orbited by 12 planets, including 1 world that supports life.
The lone satellite orbiting the third planet. Roughly a third of Earth’s mass with a super-heated water vapor atmosphere. Atmospheric temperatures reach up to 1,000 K (1,340 °F), and glowing clouds of Titanium Dioxide hoover over the moon. The sun is only a K9V type star, but at only 0.11 AU, it covers an area of the sky 7.5 times larger than a Full Moon on Earth.

Sometimes I wonder how beautiful the Universe is, and we do not even have to go that far. Imagine seeing Neptune and Uranus from their moons…

TOUCHDOWN OF INSIGHT ON MARS! Man, this just never gets old. I am SO over the Moon (or Mars) each and every time our incredible civilization accomplishes such amazing technological feats. Congratulations to all who made this happen. Pop the corks!
One of the landing team members just mentioned that InSight will soon deploy instruments with which to search for water on Mars. Where there is water, there is life. It is highly unlikely that the water is sterile. I also would like to remind ourselves that life exists here in Earth where in the most inhospitable life conditions, extreme heat, extreme darkness, life exist. (At the exact time of reentry and touchdown, the street in front of my place was being blacktopped with 2 gigantic steel rollers causing the ground, foundation walls, windows to shake and vibrate. @krixomatic says, “Feels like we’re inside the lander!” I exploded with laughter. Can’t make this up.) What do you think guys? Another beautiful aurora shot, looking towards a gas giant under a hazy atmosphere. The Andromeda galaxy is visible to the right of the picture as a hazy bright spot just below the aurora.
The Andromeda Galaxy will be the next galaxy I will be exploring in space engine beginning next month.

This scorched desert world orbits just 9,000,000 kilometers from it’s sun and is tidally locked to the star. The planet is 1.1 times Earth’s mass, but has a very large metallic core; therefore, is only 89% of Earth’s diameter.
The planet is covered in a thick sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide atmosphere with a surface pressure of 32 atmospheres. The surface has a temperature of 818 °F. A massive cyclone constantly rages on the day side with wind speeds of up to 1,000 mph in the upper atmosphere.

An ocean world with a small ring system hangs over the sky of a barren moon.
Picture of the day - October 12, 2018.
Blue-tinted Titan-Like world with liquid methane oceans and an extensive ring system.
We’ve moved away from the last system and traveled nearly 13,000 light years to another system on the edge of Triangulum.
Here we come across a system which I have called the Vista system, due to some of the stunning views of gas giants and their moons.
This system is configured rather unusually, in that the asteroid belt forms the inner-most part of the system, orbiting close to the star with a single dwarf planet orbiting within. Above are pics of the inner-most dwarf planet.
This moon-sized world orbits 0.13 AU from the sun, with a scorching surface temperature of 760°.
More pics of worlds in this system to come.

Insight A-IX is the Insight A systems second largest and second most massive planet. It is an ice giant 17.40 times more massive than Earth, and has a radius of 3.28 Earth Radii. The planet is surrounded by a narrow yet well structured ring system, and a system of 6 small ellipsoidal satellites.
The planet orbits it’s sun at an average distance of 7.34 AU, completing 1 orbit every 18.35 Years. A day on the planet lasts just 9 hours and 6 minutes. The planet has a thick hydrogen/ helium atmosphere, and has an average atmospheric temperature of -279 F.
