Summary: based on the TikTok trend where girls tell their bf they're sleeping on the couch.

“Hey Eddie?” You poked your head into the bedroom. Eddie was sitting on the bed playing his guitar. He was in his pj’s waiting for you to finish your night routine and join him in bed.

“Yeah babe?” he asked.

“I’m going to be sleeping on the couch tonight.” You announced out of nowhere. Eddie looked up from the guitar and gave you a weird look.

“What? Why?”

You shrugged.

“I just want to sleep on the couch.”

Eddie frowned.

“Why?” He asked again. 

You giggled.

“It’s just too hot here.”

“Alright, I’m coming with you.” He put the guitar down and started getting up.

“No.” You stopped him. “You’re hot too.”

Eddie blinked.

“So I’m sleeping alone?”

“Yeah.” You replied.

“Nooo, babyyyyy.” He whined. “I promise I’ll be cold!”

You laughed at that.

“You can’t promise that!”

“Alright then. I won’t cuddle you, how about that? then you won’t be too hot.”

You shook your head.

“Nah, I still want to sleep on the couch alone, I think I need some space.”

Eddie’s face dropped.

“Why? Did I do something? What did I do?” Eddie was getting worried. “Did I kick you last night?... do I snore?”

“No silly, you didn’t do anything wrong.” You said while walking to the bed. 

“Is it because I hog the blanket? I promise I won't do it again!” Eddie said, giving you the saddest puppy dog eyes ever while you picked a blanket and your favorite pillow. “Baaaaabyyyy, pleaseeeee, don’t go.” He pouted again, his hands gripping your wrists to stop you.

“Goodnight, handsome.” You leaned to kiss his lips, distracting him from his mission to convince you.

“Babyyyyy, noooo…”

You giggled as you made your way to the couch. There you laid down and spread the blanket on top of you.

Only minutes later Eddie walked in with a pillow and blanket.

“Can I get on the couch with you?” He asked softly, your heart breaking a little at the sad look on his face.

“I don’t think the couch is big enough for both of us, Eddie.”

“Okay.”

He then proceeded to put the pillow on the floor next to the couch and laid down.

“You’re sleeping on the floor?” You asked surprised.

“Yeah.”

“Why?”

“I don’t want to sleep far from you.” Eddie said. “If you’re sleeping out here then I’m sleeping here too.”

Your heart melted.

“Fiiine, come here.”

In a flash, Eddie was getting on the couch with you. You cuddled him, your hand caressing his head as he used you as a pillow.

“Thanks baby.” He whispered while closing his eyes.
