Guys I almost had to cry. I ate around 2000 calories today. That's like 700 to 800 calories more than I normally do and it's twice as much as I want to eat. Who knew pita bread and haribo candy contained so many calories. I had like 6 candies and 3 pita bread but that weighed heavily into the calorie count. I'm going to try to eat less bread stuff and certainly less candy, I don't even really like candy, and less chips. I also didn't realize before that a handful of chips was like 200 to 300 calories.

I feel very much like a walking lump of fat right now. And I feel very bad for eating so much, I don't need this many calories. I need to consume meanspo, because the way this is going. Feel free to roast me in the comments and repost because I truly deserve it.

I've begun my weight-loss journey today. I do not have access to a scale so I can't update on my weight, nor do I know my current weight. I'm around 5'11 or 6'0, I probably weigh somewhere between 120-130 pounds. I'm almost 16. I ate 1204 kcal/calories today. I know a lot.

A tip for excellent writing I just learned: Don't introduce a character with their Dramatic Backstory. It makes readers go "oh alright this is the Dramatic Background Story Character" and establishes a baseline of Tragic, either for the story as a whole or this character in particular. With no contrast of light and dark, pure darkness isn't impactful, it just looks like the absence of anything to look at.

If you really want someone's dramatic backstory to hit the audience like a gut punch, let them get to know the character first. That way the dark backstory doesn't come off as a description of who they are, but an explanation to why they are the way they are. Bonus points for connecting it to something that's already been established as a part of the character - what a devastating blow to suddenly put together that hold on, that funny quirky thing that they always do is a fucking trauma response.
