**spoilers ch 148-152**
I'm hoping marriage isn't actually our idea of it. She seemed fine enough with Sukuna being a corpse. Hope it's something messed up like a fusion or ability swap/ combination. Think Uraume's bath not just being a bath. It's possible CTs can be constructed via mixing of bloodlines. Until Gege actually tells us how CTs form and why bloodlines are important we'll just have to keep on guessing.
My impression from the last chapter stands: I like Yorozu a hell of a lot. She's strong and she's batshit crazy, and the backstory from this chapter establishes her as one of the strongest incarnated sorcerers. Among all the new characters introduced in the Culling Games, I'd say she and Higuruma are my favorites.
Plus, her technique, especially her armor, is pretty cool. The bug aspect is interesting, and the design of the armor is also damn nice. I like how bulky and sturdy it is, and seeing her physically throw Sukuna around was fucking amazing.
It's her, uh, motivation I have trouble getting into. On the one hand, her complete yandereness is fun. I know marriage became the focus later, but she started with the claim that she wanted to be the one to kill Sukuna and wanted him to be the one to kill her, and I like that sort of dynamic. And in this chapter as well, how much of her "love" is tied up in violence appeals to me.
B u t the target of said affection being Sukuna kind of ruins it. Not because I don't understand her rationale (I do appreciate that this chapter showed she fixated on him because they're both peerless in strength and she, at least, is lonely because of it) but because Sukuna doesn't really have the kind of reactions that make this one-sided attraction entertaining. Look at this:
I was cringing all through those last few panels. Just...no. Nope. No thank you.
It's similar to why Hana's thing for Megumi held no appeal for me, even if Gege did make a cursory attempt at showing it's a childhood fixation that escalated further. Women being this gone over men who don't give a fuck or are mocking them is a dynamic that actively puts me off. It wasn't fun when it was Sakura x Sasuke, and it ain't fun now.
Yorozu, seriously, you can do better.
he thinks he's gonna eat him
Sukuna gave up Yuji's body, a body that imo would've likely tanked Gojo's attacks better than Megumi's (to the extent that he might've won that 3rd domain battle completely) . Shrine still having some extra moves is still entirely possible. Sukuna potentially isn't at full. His mummified corpse could be a poor substitute for his missing finger. He's gotten Gojo to the point of possibly overloading him with just Malevolent Shrine, and Sukuna took a powered up purple as an opener. Imo Gojo > Sukuna (Yuji) but far far far from a fraud.
It's so funny to me to see people calling Sukuna a fraud at the first hint that he's going to use Ten Shadows against Gojo, like he hasn't been going almost the entire fight with just Domain Amp and Malevolent Shrine.
100% agree with this analysis of Shoko. Don't get too many in depth pieces on her. If jjk focused more on how jujutsu society interacts with the larger Japanese government I think we would've. Shoko's healing abilities would definitely be a major part in jujutsu society and government interactions
new jjk chapter is so interesting to me. bc i realized that a lot of the people commenting on shoko right now have a very different opinion of her character and her relationship with gojo than me....
Jjk memes have been amazing as of late

bonus!
gojo purposefully teaches and interacts with each of his students based on their personalities and how he thinks they would best learn and absorb information.
with yuuji it was movies and anime/pop culture analogies to understand and control his cursed energy. plus of course hands on training and combat for all of them.
with yuuta he was both logical and empathetic, cs yuta is both. he leverages yuta's sense of responsibility to help him both break his curse with Rika, and learn how to control it.
and i always see people reference gojo saying 'yikes you're kinda gloomy' in response to yuta saying he tried to kill himself as gojo being rude and insenstive. while gojo can often be rude, in this case i do believe he's trying to make light of the situation.
it's more awkward IMO! when someone pities/babies you in this situation.. making a joke/being normal is a better response, and i think that's what he was doing, trying to make yuta feel better.
with megumi i believe he was the most straighforward. megumi does not care for small talk or sugarcoating things amd beating around the bush. no matter the situation. and gojo knows this cs they've known each for 10+ yrs now. he knows how to talk to megumi and get through to him in a way that'll hit home.
their relationship seems cut and dry cs megumi is stoic and not affectionate and gojo respects that, most of the time 😄 gojo cared enough to put yuji in the room next to megumi cs he knows megumi is reclusive, so that he can make friends.
i agree gojo and megumi's relationship is more of an annoying older brother than father-son, and i love it when they bicker. anyway, i wish we could've seen more gojogumi interactions in the years they knew each. but gege man..
