any ideas of souls filling things to do in the next two months of summer rather than rot in bed on my phone all day long ❣️
omg bestie i could ask the same question im currently rotting away in lockdown...... here, i’ll do my best!
decide that ur going to learn something. it doesn’t have to be a language but it could be, i think it’s fun! there’s loads of language learning resources on tumblr. buy a $7 Irish flute and learn to play it. u could become a diy ‘expert’ in new guinean tribal art.... literally whatever you’re interested in and have never had the time to pursue in your normal routine and just go!!
assuming you a) had some interest in learning a language and b) are spending some of your time rotting watching tv and movies, then watch them in another language and you will be pleasantly surprised how much you pick up on!! let ur rotting be a little more useful and fun
buy some cheap diy stuff 2 keep urself busy.... paints or embroidery supplies or beads to make yourself jewellery... you can add a little something to all your clothes like that!
get into baking bread. there’s so many benefits... a) it’s very time consuming, no more rotting for you b) you will have dirty hands you can’t use your phone c) it’s not actually very hard just watch a tutorial and follow the instructions d) you will spend the time standing up which is good if you’re not getting much other exercise or time to stretch e) i love you i want us both to eat well duh??!!
if ur able to then leave your phone at home one day and go on a little adventure outdoors. stay close so you’re safe etc but just get out and do something find inspiration in nature go!!!! its my favourite antidote
delete all your social media off your phone (yes, even tumblr) for a week i pinky promise it will improve your quality of life by at least 30%
i hope one of these was useful!! mwah

“Do you imagine at night someone going to bed the very moment you are going to bed? Turning out the light? And isn’t it so quiet you swear the heart is telepathic. Isn’t it—”
— Beckian Fritz Goldberg, Eros in His Striped Shirt
Like the sound of dew, the end of the day brings evening; the kite erases the scent of the sunshine; when all the colors of the world are faded, the manuscript is arranged, the fireflies and their colors flicker in that story; all the birds come home - all the rivers end this life’s works; there is only darkness, and she sits in front of me, Banalata Sen.
- Jibananda Das, Banalata Sen
“I find the best way to love someone is not to change them, but instead, to help them reveal the greatest version of himself.”
— Steve Maraboli

“There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves; it is not my nature. My attachments are always excessively strong.”
