She'd played with technology she'd been warned was dangerous, straight from the mouth of a man who had played around with it. Who had seen the cause and effect.

She had thought she'd known better. Known More Idiot

So when the small device, she hadn't even given the damn thing a name, had dumped her, rudely on her ass, in an alleyway and had broken on her. She'd been pissed.

Then she'd taken a look around. Panicked.

This was not the Zaun she knew. Smog. No stars in the sky. The air felt charged. Instincts whispered 'bad. no safe. move'

So she'd stuffed the pieces of her broken folly into her backpack, and had hurried into a speed walk.

She had found a free table, somehow, in the darker area of the bar. Her eyes darting from person to person, dangerous looking, desperate looking. Trying to avoid eye contact. Not wanting to draw attention.

Possibly doing just that. She didn't know. Her hands tightened around the straps of her bag, trapped against her legs under the table. Her eyes now squeezed shut. Burning.

Fighting the urge to cry. Someone had to help her right?

Oil gave a small nod, giving a quick glance downwards before she sat. Making sure she could reach, she leaned over and used a strap to pull her bag closer before lifting it into her lap. Hugging it to her chest.

"You live a long time, you learn to read people?" She offered, it made sense to her at the very lease. A small smile appeared on her face at the poof, she found it quite silly. As his name was said-confirming he was a he- she gave a respectful nod "Oil, it's nice to meet you. I. . .fear I may have royally messed up and help would be really nice. I don't know. I don't know how to fix it."

Nothing to be concerned about, just a girl wandering up and down some dock area, muttering to herself.

Oil groaned loudly, stopping in place as her head fell back to stare up. At the smoggy sky.

She was really missing the stars.

Her folly-as she had so lovingly named it- sat in pieces in her bag. Which was in eyeview propped up against some crates. Unzipped with her blue hoodie half-hanging out of it. She was keeping an close eye. Didn't want anyone running off with her stuff.

She'd spent the day wandering about, trying to find somewhere familiar in a sea of buildings and people that she simply didn't know. A junk shop in place of the jewellry store, a broken and smashed storefront where she knew to be a resturant.

And of course, she just happened to fling herself back to when her usual haunt just happened to be a functioning factory! So she couldn't even kid herself into believing this was all a bad dream.

"Should have listened. Didn't. Bloody stupid girl" she cursed, a fisted hand slamming into her thigh in annoyance, the pain a relief for the moment before her emotions became a messed up clump again.

A noise caught her attention and she gave her attention in the direction it came from, her eyes starting to change into a bright shimmer purple as her heart began to pound.

Gun hidden under her shirt, back holster.

She narrowed her eyes and cleared her throat

"If you are gonna be a creep. May as well own it!"
