Americans, I know we're going through it, but why do I keep seeing stuff like "I'm sorry world, we'll fix this in 4 years"? But like... what do you mean "4 years"?
We have midterm in 2026, yearly local elections, special elections, primaries, etc.
We have the right (dare I say responsibility) to contact our representatives and the right to organize and protest if/when they don't listen.
We need to find a meaningful way to educate people about propaganda and media literacy. We need to convince people to be willing to educate themselves. The habit of only checking in to politics on presidential election years needs broken.
I understand how defeating today feels, but we, especially those of us who could conceivably make it through these four years unscathed, need to stop this proactive surrender.

Days Since Start: 61
Damn I’m getting bad at updates with these, honestly to my own detractors more than anything, like one other person reads these and it’s my favorite toxic yaoi ex (luv u 4realsies u know who u are) but I digress-
The body hair is body hairing!!! Like it’s starting to be visible enough for other people to see it and I don’t have to be 3cm from the mirror to see it:)) Right now my happy trail is what’s most visible but my mustache is a close second:)) Haven’t seen any evidence of a beard but one thing at a time:)) I’ve also had my voice drop once and that’s super super exciting:DD It happened like a few weeks ago so I’ve had time to adjust and all that jazz:)) Don’t know if I’ve had any like jaw changes or anything bc 1. My jaw is already Super Chissled and 2. I’m on gel so all the traits are gonna show up super slowly. Either way I’m happy with where this is going and I can’t wait to see what else happens:))
And I have a much much better general life update this time, I’m getting an apartment:DD With a partner of mine nonetheless:DD Our move in date is the 29th of this month, which is also trans day of visibility funnily enough (they’re non-binary:))) so hopefully next time I’m blogging it won’t be about my mom making me feel worthless or anything like that, it’ll be stupid gay stories and such:D
Also funny little tidbit, I have some friends in their 30s and such who found out I had a tumblr acc and that the site was still active and their reactions have ranged from “that’s still a thing??” To “why are you at the devil’s sacrament??” And it’s honestly kinda funny:)) But yeah seanie-boy out I’m like on the clock for my job and gotta do stuff ab it((:
Quietly losing my mind over the fact that Elon Musk has straight up orchestrated a coup of our executive branch and like....I don't even know what, if any, system we have in place to fix this. Like... He's just taken control of the money and locked out the actual appointed officials. What the fuck.
it’s time to find resellers and hunt them for sport

Section 230 is a law passed in the 90s that gave birth to the modern internet. Without it, the internet as we know it quite literally would not exist.
Gutting part of Section 230 is why there was a tumblr purge in 2018 which led to a domino effect of making the internet worse. This was written in SESTA/FOSTA.
Senators Dick Durbin (D) and Lindsey Graham (R) are introducing a bill that would “sunset” Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Section 230 is known as the “26 words that created the Internet.” It essentially allows websites to host users’ speech and engage in good faith moderation without being held legally liable for every post users make. Without it, platforms would have to choose between ducking lawsuits by pre-censoring "controversial" content or abandoning moderation altogether. Smaller, decentralized platforms like Bluesky, Mastodon, Signal, and Reddit would likely be tanked by lawsuits, while Big Tech companies like Meta, Google, and X would survive, solidifying their monopolies
There would be no more organizing protests like Tesla Takedown online, no more posting about abortion resources or trans healthcare, and no more independent media. With the Trump admin escalating attacks on immigrants, students, journalists, and protestors, we can’t afford to lose online organizing spaces and access to information. Tell lawmakers: hands off Section 230! (link below contains petition and more details on the law)
(I know it seems like pressuring congress doesn't work, but this is how KOSA was defeated 2 sessions in a row. IT WORKS.)
Finally, a place to post my Evil Evil Thoughts and no one can stop me

what do you mean elon musk did a nazi salute on live tv at the united states presidential inauguration twice and is now erasing the evidence off the internet by replacing the footage with the crowd cheering instead?
would be a shame if people reblogged this, wouldn’t it?
