Oz slid a piece of paper over to Logan who looked at him confused Oz pushed his glasses up smiling at the young boy

He had noticed how little Logan's mom's were around and looked into it Oz didn't like what he found so his going to take Logan in

"I'm having a child" Oz clasped his hands together Logan tilted his head looking more confused

"Uh congrats Mr Oz?" Logan isn't sure why Mr Oz is telling him this or what the paper is

"No my boy you're the child sign the adoption papers please" Oz hated the way Logan looked shocked that someone wanted him "if you wish that is"

'You....want me?" Logan watched Mr Oz nod he hiccuped grabbing the pen signing the papers as he starred crying no ones really wanted him around

"Oh Logan it's alright" Oz has never been tempted to hit a woman but right now his tempted to hit Logan's mothers for what they've put him through

"C-can I call you dad?" Logan rubbed at his eyes while Oz had to keep it together

Shade watched his boyfriend move around the kitchen making them lunch he was a little bored and wanted to talk with Kai

"So what was you gay awaking?" Shade raised an eyebrow when Kai paused to look him

"You can't laugh" Kai pointed the cutting knife at Shade before putting it down once he remembered it was in his hands

"I won't laugh here I'll go first it was when some girl asked me to be her boyfriend in third grade didn't like the idea one bit" Shade still doesn't like the idea of dating a girl

"Okay well again don't laugh you were mine" Kai went back to cutting the carrots while Shade processed what he said

"Wait really?" Okay Shade might be feeling a little smug about that

"Yes really" Kai now wants to move on from this topic going on right now

"Okay screw lunch we're cuddling let's go" Shade got up and dragged his boyfriend off to Shade's bed to cuddle

"But we ne- you know what? Okay let's cuddle" Kai probably didn't even have a choice at least Shade's a comfy pillow

Sorry there's no dialogue I thought it wouldn't work here and also not a doctor soooo yeah

It was a simple fight the team was winning they'd be done in time to have an actual dinner together instead of just crashing once back at the monastery

They'd actually be able to check their injuries out properly without being ready to fall over and sleep only to get more hurt by falling over and sleeping on the floor

They all should've known that the fight was too easy something would've gone wrong and it did near the end when Kai got stabbed from behind

The others screamed seeing it while Kai had screamed it was cut off by him choking on his blood falling onto his knees

Cole was the first to Kai keeping him from falling on his face holding him close freaking out he wasn't the team medic he doesn't know what to do

Kai gripped at Cole's arm grimacing trying to say something anything to calm Cole down to make it so he'd stop looking so panicked so scared and lost

Unfortunately he couldn't say anything Kai couldn't comfort the other could barely keep his eyes open or hear what anyone said at the moment

Cole almost lost it when Kai closed his eyes and didn't open them by that point the fight was over and Zane was running over

Nya and Jay following behind him they all looked panicked as well Cole broke down as Zane removed Kai from his arms to do what Zane did best

He stared at his hands covered in blood he couldn't wipe it off Cole knew his gi was covered in Kai's blood and he couldn't help Kai

Nya teared up before crying into Jay's shoulder who held her close crying as Zane continued working it'd have been better if they were at the monastery but they couldn't risk the wait

Zane had to do it now because what if it was too long of a wait for Kai's body to handle? No one wanted to risk it or to risk Lloyd seeing Kai like this

Okay so I have been reminded of something. So, There have been multiple times Kai's been referred to as selfish. While I do not know the context for all of these moments, I know there has not been a single moment in the show outside of the stuff with him wanting to be the green, ninja and S1 along with the stuff that regarding the element staff back in S4.

There have been multiple times to work Kai has died or has made it very clear that he would die to protect another member of the team.

Some examples of these:

Back in S4 literally in the first episode of the season Kai said something that roughly meant "I should have died instead of Zane". Whoever Lloyd cuts him off saying "First it was being the green ninja now this can't you think about someone other than yourself?"

Despite not knowing how to swim towards the end of S5, Kai was the only one out of the ninja that could/ would swim because they wouldn't or would be less likely to die from it who was willing and did jump into the water to save Lloyd from drowning, Cole didn't jump into the water because if he did he would have died so he wouldn't have been much help. Meanwhile, Jay and Zane were fighting Moro leaving the ghost and the guy who can't swim to save Lloyd

KAI PRETTY MUCH RAISED HIS SISTER EVER SINCE THEIR PARENTS WENT MISSING/ GOT KIDNAPPED BY THE TIME TWINS.

KAI HAS SAVED LLOYD'S LIFE LIKE THREE TIMES!

IN DR KAI DIED TO SAVE NYA, WYLDFYRE, AND THE REST OF THE TEAM THAT WERE THERE!

If I didn't know any of this and this would have gotten brought up to me, I would have been annoyed as heck because this is a man who is willing to die for his friends yet they call him and have labeled him selfish when he has directly said that he would have died instead of Zane (causing Nya to lose her brother and only family that she knew was alive), has risked his life like three times to save Lloyd, And pretty much raised his sister yet. He's called selfish. The only one who hasn't done this is Zane and the only other people who haven't are some of the newer characters introduced in Dr. Who don't exactly see him that way. Seriously if I had to say how some of the new characters see Kai, I would say:

Arin: He wouldn't call Kai selfish. If anything, he'd be the kind of person that would glare at the other ninja because of things like risking his life to save Lloyd on multiple occasions saying that he would have been willing to die in Zane's place and even raising his sister even though he was like at the youngest four when his parents went missing. If anything, Arin would look up to this guy because he's gone through hell and back but is still willing to do anything for his team and sister even if they think he's selfish but he's only technically been selfish twice

Sora: very similar thing to Kai, but because she wouldn't have pretty much any of the context of all of the stuff that happened without being told stories of it or directly seeing some of the records from the cloud Kingdom (which I doubt you'd even get access to, unless Euphrasia gave her the access because Euphrasia might but not likely). So pretty much Sora would be the same thing as Arin but because she would be straight with no biases towards him because she isn't even from Ninjago!

Wyldfyre: She would see Kai as well. A father figure. Sure, he may not be the best dad in the world, but hey he's trying and he's not a terrible dad again. He's not the best either but no one's perfect. To be honest, I feel like if she ever learned about pretty much every member of the team calling Kai selfish at least once she would just go ballistic because she doesn't see him as selfish. She sees him as someone who's willing to and has died to save her and other people's lives. Directly saying that he would have died in Zane's place. Sure that would have left Nya without her brother But the world would be safe, He's risked his life on at least three different occasions to save Lloyd, back in the fire temple because it was about to erupt because for some reason it was put in a volcano, And despite not knowing how to swim being the only one out of the two that weren't fighting Morro who could have actually gone into the water to save Lloyd and he did that despite not even knowing how to swim. Then of course there's the time he actually died saving Nya and the rest of the team. And well sure he died at that point. His sister didn't need him and Wyldfyre had heatwave plus the rest of the team to keep her safe. Let me tell you when you know your dad is willing to die for you. You know he's a good dad and you know he's an extremely good dad when he has died for you!

Euphrasia: It's likely she's seen the scroll that Kai's Destiny was written on. She knows he's not selfish and the only times he has been was because of my adulteration because of the staff and when he wanted to be the green ninja. Outside of that, he's wrist his life more times than she's willing to count and has been willing to die for the team pretty much ever since Lloyd became the green ninja. Yet they refer to him as selfish. She doesn't get it.

Seriously I want this to be brought up in the show and for someone to go ballistic on the rest of the team because this mine has been willing to die for them pretty much ever since Lloyd became the green ninja and they took him for granted, not realizing who they had with them. Someone who cared for them a lot and was willing to die for them, even willing to die in the place of another member of the team when he died that one time, And yet every time they've called him selfish, he's seemingly never cared, still caring for them and willing to die for them. You can call him selfish after he's died to save his sister the rest of his team and at that point pretty much adopted daughter. If anything, he was selfless down to his very damn soul. And if anyone tries to tell me anything else I will punch you!

Honestly I give Lloyd a pass as well his dealing with a lot but I mean more of some people in the fandom taking that whole arc of Kai's and using it ta say his selfish which wrong yall very wrong

I did not know that bout Morro! Booo give us that! It isn't his fault that he was basically (at least from what I got from his story) groomed ta be a ninja the green ninja

And when he wasn't he freaked out understandably I don't remember the age he died at but my god that is so traumatizing ta be told this is what yer supposed ta be only ta not be it

And then ta die trying ta become it Wu really messed Morro up it was a era of peace there was no need for the green ninja

And then the whole green ninja thing with the main core that's another thing people use for saying Kai is selfish

They all acted like they'd be the green ninja except only KAI unlocked his true potential by saving the actual green ninja and was happy ta have the job ta protect Lloyd and he takes it pretty seriously at times

Just a little rant here:

I'm really tired of people saying Kai would pick the fangblade over Lloyd even for aus because it just never makes sense ta me like Kai would NEVER have actually picked that blade over a kid who's trapped in lava without help

It doesn't matter if any of the others could have saved Lloyd (and they couldn't) Kai wouldn't have just grabbed the blade and leave Lloyd there in the lava no matter how much he "disliked" the kid

Hell Kai even if he had the time ta get the blade and Lloyd he'd still save Lloyd first and THEN the blade never the other way around because Lloyd is a CHILD

I actually do want to hear about your Morro taking over Kai's body au how does it effect everything else? Why did it happen?

Okay when Morro goes ta take over Lloyd's body Kai got in the way so instead of having the body he wanted he got Kai and well he just went "Whatever this could ruin Lloyd so I'll take it"

Lloyd blames himself it doesn't help that his uncle is kinda hinting at it with his actions and words when it comes ta Lloyd

Meanwhile Morro is getting beat tf up by Kai verbally he is not having a good time having control of Kai's body bc Kai is still there and very loud

They had a little bonding over wanting ta be the green ninja before Kai went "wait a minute ya tried taking over Lloyd's body FUCK YA"

It changes a lot of things and someone might get set on fire we'll see

.....I did say any ship that on me hmm oh! Okay so Kai gets into the field of artifacts bc his trying ta find a reason for why his parents are gone meets Misako one day and it's oh fuck this woman ta oh maybe I have mommy issues ta I need her ta peg me type of relationship

I want ta make an au where Kai becomes one with the sea but his still the master of fire I need ta figure things out but I have so many ideas
