I really like Ford protecting Stan. 

Ford protecting Stan from a big bad sea monster. Ford protecting Stan from slipping on black ice. Ford protecting Stan from the wind by acting as a block and walking in front of him. Ford protecting Stan from spoilers about the remake of The Duchess Approves. I don’t care how Ford protects Stan, I just love the big-brother aspect of “I’ve gotta look out for him,” going to Ford.

Especially because we see Stan so bent on protecting Ford all over the show, from when they were kids to adulthood and old man age. But watching it be reversed? And Ford works to protect his little brother instead? And Stan getting all “Hey, only ‘little’ by 15 minutes, I don’t need protection, I’m a grown man!” But Ford saying he wants to protect Stan, he wants to be there for him finally, and Stan feeling that warmth of hey, I finally got my brother back is all I want.

So Ford protects Stan from mismatched socks and siren songs and bad weather. I love protective!Ford.

THIS is what I have been dealing with on a constant basis for the past six months. 

In December 2017 I was first notified of my [Yin Yang Rats] design being sold unauthorized on the website AliExpress. I wrote a [Journal] at the beginning of the year explaining how difficult and time-consuming it was to remove. Unfortunately, my battle was not over as I have been chasing down thefted and altered versions of my design across the internet ever since.

I cannot even put into words how frustrating and disheartening this kind of thing is. This design is very special to me and I created it with everyone who loves rats in mind. It is an absolute disgrace to my artwork and an insult to me as an artist to see my work stolen, altered and slapped onto products without a second thought as to who made it or what it represents. Instead of being able to create new art, I’ve had to spend all my time and energy in hunting this theft down, writing DMCA Takedown notices, and corresponding with various legal departments. I am absolutely exhausted. My motivation to draw is lost. I’ve had to spend so much energy just to defend myself and the fight is far from over. Recently, things took an even worse turn. One of the places listed here - MerchVibes on Etsy - submitted a counter-claim to my report of copyright infringement. The only way to proceed is with a court order. I am completely and utterly lost. My art has been stolen, altered, and sold without my permission and now I have to go to court if I want anything to be done about it. I’m looking to register this artwork with a copyright, but since it’s happening after the infringement, I don’t know how much good it will do. I’m also looking into what to do about getting a lawyer, despite having absolutely no money to afford one and no idea who to trust. It’s an utter mess I don’t even have the energy to elaborate on. I am not the only artist that these places have stolen from. PLEASE let artists know if you recognize their art being used without permission: - AliExpress - MyMerchandise on Amazon - MerchVibes on Etsy - TeeChip - TeeSpring - Octoprintz I know it is unfair to put the burden of fact-checking on the consumer. You should be able to trust that the products you buy are legitimate. Unfortunately that is far from the truth of things. Please, please scrutinize companies - especially those online - before you buy products with artwork on them. Be suspicious if the store has a wide and conflicting range of art styles and images. Most of these places are even too lazy to crop off the signatures and copyrights of the artists. And please god if you are a tattoo artist or looking to get a tattoo, it is SO easy to ask the artist for permission or even commission a custom one! I put my artwork online so that I can make a living, NOT so you can steal it! This is legitimately the kind of thing that destroys artists like me. I am losing profits, I am losing time, I am losing motivation and I am losing the will to even create and share my work. I do not get reimbursed for any of these things. I do not get exposure. This problem does not go away. I do not get to “win” anything. I will probably be dealing with this for the rest of my artistic career. If I want to continue to put up a fight against intellectual property theft, it is likely going to get expensive. [ Clearing some things up ]

Sorry for this random ass post, but I just had to make something clear, after being informed a hella lot

You can still go on the internet, even after Net Neutrality is repealed

We can still fight back, and get Net Neutrality restored, and the next vote for the House of Representatives is in a few weeks if I am correct

You may not see the effects tomorrow, but very slowly, the effects will kick-in very, very slowly that we won’t be able to see it overtime (Keep your eyes open if you see anything related to the effects)

Net Neutrality is still here, it’s just dying very, VERY slowly overtime

And fact, there’s ways to go on the internet when the effects kick in according to this post I have reblogged

Guys, we can do this, and we CAN win this, and we cannot give up, even after Net Neutrality gets repealed tomorrow

this morning NASA abandoned their mars rover Opportunity (aka Oppy) because it (she) got hit by a storm on Mars and it knocked her camera and wheels out and her last words to the team were “my battery is low and it is getting cold”. I know she’s a machine but I’m devastated. Oppy is the one who discovered water on Mars. RIP oppy ily space baby

WARNING: THE INCREDIBLES 2  IS NOT EPILEPSY SAFE.

This is not a joke. I was at a premier showing tonight, and my immediate thought was how disasterously unsafe this movie is for my photosensitive epilepic friends. @markingatlightspeed I’m tagging you with this specifically because this would be extremely dangerous for you to watch. There are multiple scenes in this movie with full-screen, black-and-white flashing strobe effects. They all happen without warning, and last anywhere between a few seconds to more than two minutes. In a darkened movie theater, this means the likelihood of a seizure could be VERY HIGH if you are sensitive to these effects. If you have photosensitive epilepsy or another disorder that is triggered by strobe lights, I would highly recommend you DO NOT SEE THE INCREDIBLES 2 IN THEATERS. Wait until the movie’s released on digital/Bluray, and you can watch it in a fully-lit room, with someone with you who will be able to help if the strobe effects do trigger a seizure. Please stay safe.

The other day I got a bug up my ass about lake Natron, because I’ve seen the photos of the calcified remains of animals that took a dip in the lake on accident, but I’ve only seen those photos in black and white. I’m sure you’ve seen them.

I thought, you know, calcified remains should be really interesting to see in color, so I tried to find some that had been taken by others, in color. It was not nearly as visual stunning, they were just white rotting remains, I won’t scar anyone by posting them.

But what caught my eye wasn’t the dead. It was the fucking lake.

It’s BLOOD fucking RED.

It’s super alkaline (deadly), blood fucking red (terrifying), and oh, it gets to be 106F/41C in the water. Red spirulina algae thrives here and provides food for the main denizen of the lake…. fucking lesser flamingos.

Look at their fucking mud nests!

You need to leave!! You have found flamingo Silent Hill!! What are you still doing here!! I’ll tell you!! They’re still doing there because literally the death lake protects them from predators, nothing big enough to be a threat to them gets across the lake to get them. There are millions of them living there safely.

What the fuck. what the FUCK nature. This is some of the most amazing shit you’ve ever pulled and hardly anyone knows about it. I’m on to you. I see your blood lake with your pink goth bird decorations. I see you.
