I flipping knew it
Hanakou
I wouldn’t shut up if the picture perfect conflict was addressed, my insanity would be noticeable, but I have no hope for chap 103. You can clearly see where the narrative focus is: It's all about hananene, mitsukou, and Hanako/Amane backstory.
So if Aidairo does make them talk, I feel like it would just be used as a device to further set up mitsukou and hananene, instead of their own moment.
This hypothetical talk does have the potential for a really good conversation though! Kou knows Nene and Hanako like each other, and his view is pessimistic in an intimate way since he is close to them both. It would also open a door for us to get more details on how Hanako views Mitsuba, since it isn't clear at the moment (he seems to feel mostly neutral/negative about him? Hanako has only been shown to care about how Mitsuba's suffering affect Kou, never Mitsuba'S own struggles and it makes me curious)
The only time I can possibly imagine them bringing focus to hanakou conflict is near the end of the manga, when we get close to the moment Kou will exorcise Hanako, which have been consistently built up to.
It would be a very strange choice if Aidairo doesn’t give us a hanako and kou centered arc when we get close to this point, even if just a small 1 to 2 chapters arc, since this has been set up since even before Mitsuba intro, or hell, Tsukasa’s intro in the manga and have the potential to be a very impactful/symbolic moment for both characters.
My actual hope for chapter 103 is predictable as hell though, I want them to show how Akane and Natsuhiko's talk went, please I want to see them.
but I will be genuinely happy to get any Akane, Aoi, or Teru panel.
Im sorry
I was very impulsive/ ignorant

I am 50/50. I'm not entirely sure. It seems that Amane could or knew what was going on at school honestly it would be really good if it turned out that Amane was the clock keepers… they were like Tsukasa, both twins with supernatural ties. But of course there's a "but" and I'm honestly not sure if he actually was.
I really like the PP arc and I really liked how Amane and Akane are friends with each other that would be cool considering Akane says all supernaturals are "evil" he has bad memories and was tricked by no.1 so I'm not surprised by his opinion.
I just don't think it's in the omen arc will be happaned. Hyuuga wants to form a temporary alliance with Akane, either Akane will be used or he will see through Hyuuga's tricks. I don't know if it's possible for them to be friends, I doubt it, maybe allies in one thing, but not friends.
are you referring to my husband's blog, @7ban-sama? we aren't the same person! We're similar, but that's just from being unGodly close for 6 years (:
not all kaii are evil; Hanako specifically is referred to as 'mononoke' or, a destructive, vengeful, or otherwise misery-causing cursed force ... for lack of a better term, an 'evil energy'. However, when using his joudai, he is no longer 'a mononoke', as he is blessed by God. HOWEVER however, every mystery is being lent the power of God, and seems to qualify as one in their boundaries.
Plenty of kaii seem neutral or passive. The Minamoto clan simply believe in profiling and reducing risk by not distinguishing between them. To Minamoto, all kaii are evil, yes. From kaii to kaii, I think Hanako being a Mononoke is distinct.... and I think in Hanako's own psyche, he identifies as a Mononoke.
I think kaii becoming kami is a major aspect of JSHK; the mysteries are 'appointed' by someone in a position of power, and are being granted special attributes through that process. The jurisdiction/control they have over their space, and the creation of their sanctum, is a Godly ability.
Teru refers to the mysteries in a Godlike manner. Personally, I believe the original Well-God's power is being siphoned and distributed to the mysteries, who become Gods, though not as powerful as the original God composed of all 7's abilities. All the mysteries are Kami-brought-to-Godhood, then, while they remain mysteries.
I would say that Tsukasa went from human to kami in canon, as far as we've observed. We don't know what journey Hanako made, which made him specifically a mononoke...
It seems as if perhaps Sakura can appoint/dispel mysteries, (previously?)... She may be a (holy, sanctified?) being in charge of the system of the school. Tsukasa meanwhile could appoint Mitsuba as a mystery; effectively turning him from a (weak) kaii into one of the school's minor kami. So, Tsukasa has the ability to grant Kami power unto a kaii.
Does Hanako have some qualities?
Oh boy does he. I wonder if you meant to type "good qualities"? I tend to give him a hard time out here or cheer on his difficult traits (mostly because I feel people less often observe that head-on), so maybe you want to know what is positive about him? Apologies if you meant something else, but I'll answer for now as if this said "good qualities"...
Hanako's most incredible quality to me, which no other character has, is his deep endless romanticism... his utter commitment, his devotion, his obsession, the manner of which he thinks of things is I feel ... just more poetic and naturally artful than, anyone else. I think it makes sense that being in love with Hanako winds up making you equally obsessive and sick (Nene and Tsukasa dealing with this both)... I think it's just, impossibly captivating. I really think Hanako's heart is the most elegant here... his love is incredible. To get the chance to be loved by Hanako-- you would not ever want anything else.
And if he didn't love you, you'd just die.
Nene is a childish and crude little poet girl, doing her best to write her feelings out (but naturally following a more trope-y, rather ignorant perspective, starting out)
we love it. Tsukasa does his best with his sincere gestures...
...both are very sweet. Kind of ... innocent naive little things, Nene and Tsukasa.
There's something about how Hanako expresses his heart, in the rare moments we glimpse it... its like a peek at the burning sun..
capable of setting up a telescope to face at a star he feels powerfully about, a metaphor for feelings he has.
a natural sense of incredible poetics, speaking in celestial bodies...
unlike Nene.. I don't think Amane really reads romantic poetry and aches to become such a protagonist. He's not copying anything he's seen or read. This is just the magnitude of which he conceptualizes his own feelings for others-- equating them to the incredible wonders of the sky that have bewitched him since he was a child.
when Amane's love comes out, it wants to express itself in incredible extremes. In intoxicating, delusional epiphanies,
with imperative severity
which is also why he acts possessively and dangerously ... it's all fueled by this-- the beautiful center-- the unbearable, indomitable love he cannot help but be consumed by! Right or wrong, it compels him! He can't help it!
I really think ... that Nene and Tsukasa are both trying to chase down the root of Amane, uncover this thing inside of him... while neither can really seem to confirm confidently his love for them (at least, at one point)....
this is really the most romantic manga I have read ?? sounds crazy. But true. and It's only like that because of the center of it, the title character, being absolutely insane with passion...
Amane would do anything for love .... when he acts dangerously in canon, when he risks his soul, he's doing it for love.
It is a kind of love Nene or Tsukasa could never find anywhere else, never in their damn lives ... I honestly don't think you would see this love even in Akane. Not to be all Me about it but .... I think true love does make you insane.
while Amane needs to learn how to COMMUNICATE WITH THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM!!!!! he does not need to work on or fix his heart, which, I believe, is unbelievably pure.
People have theorized that amane was one of previous clock keepers of the present( I understand but a bit of a stretch) and now I can’t help but imagine both of them meeting each other 50 years ago because of the unstable time in the school. They seem like friends in the PP arc, I want to imagine them to have something in reality in the Omen arc.
What do you think?
I would love if Akane meet Amane in the Omens arc! I think would be very interesting to see them interacting but I personally can't see them becoming friends.
We know Hanako wants to be his friend.
As you mentioned, they were friends in picture perfect, where Hanako played the role of 'Amane', but Mei's world isn't based on reality, it was based on the things Hanako wants: Hanako stops being shorter than Nene, he gets to be Nene's classmate, and is so popular even Aoi fangirls about him! (popular boy = Nene's type to Hanako)
So his friendship with Akane is also wishful thinking:
It checks out with how happy Hanako is to interact with the real Akane, no matter how cold he acts.
We could assume Amane would feel the same about Akane as Hanako does, and crave to be his friend, but I doubt it. Or at least, I can't see him liking Akane as much as Hanako does.
One of the main reasons Hanako is so fond of Akane is because of the serious way Akane threat his crime: They both believe murder is something unforgivable and impossible to ‘atone’ for. Hanako may have gotten hurt to have someone so confidently solidifying his personal belief that he is a piece of shit (Hanako hates himself so much is insane) but he respects and admires Akane’s attitude.
Regardless of whatever is going on with Amane, he did not kill anyone (yet), so he can’t have this connection with Akane. While Akane can’t apply the “you’re a supernatural you don’t value people” mindset that makes it impossible for him to be buddies with Hanako (especially after all the times Hanako put Aoi in danger), I doubt he would forget that Amane was the one that killed Tsukasa.
Dead or alive, a murderer is a murderer and Amane’s future is one that is set in stone. Akane will already have a negative bias against him since he looks so much like Hanako, and it doesn’t take a genius to realize Amane is a human Hanako. As for Amane... To him, Akane is just a stranger that doesn’t seem very fond of him.
Everything would mostly depend on the circumstances of how they met, the stakes or lack of and such, but whatever relationship they form, it likely wouldn’t be very friendly. At least not at first. Even if I would adore a 'enemies to buddies' arc with them!
Regardless of how well or badly they hit off, it would be delightful if Aidairo made them interact! :D
Do you think he could lying or maybe not but I still have hope that the creators know what they’re doing in the story, this could be to throw us out or the book are not affected to the time change nene has been doing (not on purpose) think about it the books are records, they store knowledge to people activities in this school, you could sync the accurate time on a clock by turning the hands but you can’t change a record with out redoing it entirely (or it can on it own and tsuchigomori only look at it once cause he is so sure it hasn’t changed) thinking of reference as this
In short he erased himself the story was changed but still a similar fate and he still alive just doesn’t remember his past existence( I don’t know why I’m comparing a game to TBHK) the book could have changed but it was too late since Amane’s fate already happened and all the books are now destroyed and we can no longer look further to them,I could be and I’m just rambling, all in my head but I’m sure the omen arc or even the final arcs could explain the truth of what going on and what happened and getting answers about it from the creators themself.
That all I have to say
Thanks for reading
There is a repetitive aspect to manga. The events that took place seem to have been forgotten. One of the latest examples. Amane and yashiro in chapter 96 looked like they forgot about their romantic relationship and it was reminded in chapter 101. I think that such forgetting is carried out deliberately by the authors. It made me think back to Tsuchigomori and Amane and his altered future.
Tsuchigomori knew the students' secrets. It was enough that he read them as it was with Yashiro when she missed the truth about her secrets. Tsuchigmori knows the future, knows about events.
Tsuchigomori looked into his book and knew what the future had and he was sure that it would come true, he did not expect that Amane would choose a different path that was destined for him.
Tsuchigomori needs to see what happened in his life and why he ended up like this because his future has been changed so his events in the book as well.
Amane knows that Tsuchigomori knows everything, so he forced Tsuchigomori to be silent. Tsuchigomori said as much as he could, more than he said himself
It seems that what happened in these chapters was "forgotten" because yashiro got what she wanted Amane's true identity and a piece of his past, and that's enough, apparently.
PIZZA TOAST
From: Honkai Impact 3
I kinda now hope we get a hanakou moment in chapter 103 just to see their perspective of mitsuba and nene ( you know a sorta reverse) I still can’t help but feel they left on a bad note (PP ARC) and yeah they seem cool in chapter 96 but I think they’re ignoring it and refusing to talk the elephant between them but that my opinion
This is a really funny yashiro. yashiro to Amane said these words
yashiro after it
I wonder why she didn't say it out loud, she always blames Amane about it,but here she herself behaved in the same way what really happened and she lied.
Is it trauma? yashiro?
What's blocking you? Hmm…aren't you complaining about Amane but you shut up and kept quiet about it by lying to Amane and Kou. Really funny.
You're trying to lecture Amane, and you have memories you don't want to talk about.
Complaining Amane said nothing about his plan in which he admitted that he knew she was her best friend and therefore couldn't tell because he knew what yashiro's reaction would be.
yashiro in chapter 96
Here, Team Amane thinks things over and Kou proposes to catch someone from Team Tsukasa.
Kou proposes to Tsukasa, how does Yashiro react?
She's sweating and she's scared and she's not convinced, and that's also because Tsukasa traumatized her and she's really scared… But yashiro won't say a word.
What is yashiro…?
You complained about Amane so much, and you can't say a word about what's bothering you and that you don't want to do something because you're afraid.
You are silent again.
Yes, yashiro.. why did it turn out this way? You can't tell about your traumatic memories and plans that you want to ask Mitsuba for help.
Hmm...
The funny thing is that she also agreed with Kou that Tsukasa from the red house is the "fake" one, but to Mitsuba… she admitted that she believed little Tsukasa and his memories. What is good
Here I can finally see that she understood that it's not so easy, because she herself experienced some traumatic memories that apparently affected her, which is also a good thing.
It made me actually believe that she understood Amane here than when she said "I understand" in p.p arc, but then it seemed shallow and expressionless. It's different here, I can actually see that I can believe her that she understood him.
yashiro later tells Mitsuba that "she's not officially his girlfriend" even though they're not in an official relationship, I've noticed that she's stopped simp for any guy and actually sees Amane taking his thoughtfulness seriously and with care.
I can finally see that she has finally started to take his past more seriously, trauma and doesn't want to back down, just really know what he thinks about her and wants to know his past she doesn't back down go forward.
Finally, for me, yashiro begins to take on the colors that I missed in her character. Of course, I'm aware that she may go back to her old self or show hypocrisy again when she's mad, but I hope that the authors will not destroy the potentials of yashiro that I started to notice thanks to these small changes in this chapter.
When will the aggression/abuse end
She actually mentions a scene from chapter 86. It's not a new scene and I know she wants to confess her feelings properly. She just didn't do anything that I could complain about in this chapter.
As for her aggression, she will be aggressive towards him because AidaIro says "the more you love someone, the more you hurt someone" But that's their rule in this manga. As for Amane, I'm really not going to tolerate it, but I noticed a certain change in her in the right direction,I wonder what she'll do next, I hope she stops being aggressive, ok I know it's just dreams. But there's a chance nene will finally stop beating him.
It's not like I decided not to give her a chance. I gave her a chance and in this chapter I actually noticed something positive, but knowing her.she can spoil it, so I'm careful.
I'm a person who won't fall for her tears and suffering, so yashiro has a hard time with me.
Way back I kinda thought in TBHK Hanako pulls his knife out in the side of his uniform (blame the anime)
But later when reading if you really focus your vision of the arts of manga panels
Yeah,he clearly pulls it out from inside of his actual transparent body, which really makes sense cause he killed himself by stabbing it in his body( one blow from the torso)
And then there is this random thought of looking at this picture, thinking, can he just pull it any where out of his body?, is there a specific areas he is able to pull it out?
And finally I now can’t help of thinking another character I know that seems to also pull their weapon out from inside of their body
If you guess it, you guess right The Raiden Shogun from Genshin Impact
And that all I’m gonna say
Thanks for reading
Ok but that leads to another question why does tsukasa want to die or to go far of wanting amane to kill him?
In Chapter 101, Amane looks very sad, but there are no bruises, which means the beating must have been shortly before Tsukasa's murder, so it didn't take years, but a few months, maybe? How much exactly is hard to say.
It's not everything. This chapter brought back my old thoughts as if giving Tsuchigomori as if he knew he would stay in this school and stay here forever, along with Tsukasa when he decided to kill him.
Literally for over 3 years I had the impression that he was saying to Tsuchigomori "I'm going to stay here when I kill Tsukasa"
I let those thoughts go because they didn't make sense to me at the time, but now they come back to me and make sense
Just Amane "why" Amane used to fix the clock belonging to no.1 in the past so he was aware of supernatural beings in school. Was he a "normal" student. Would a normal no.1 student be allowed to do anything by the clock? Maybe Amane was like Akane in the past? It's really weird or was normal student who found out and tried to fix that clock for a very good reason.
I have a feeling that Amane trying to fix the clock wanted to stop something bad, maybe save Tsukasa? He could help him fix the clock in some way
Amane had already talked about stopping time once, when he wanted time to stop so that Nene wouldn't die.
Amane remembered that he was repairing this clock for the festival, then he stopped and didn't remember why he had to do it, Tsukasa was with him at the time.
Tsukasa's words are strange to me, and so is his pose. I have the impression that Tsukasa influenced what happened. It seems to me that Tsukasa is behind Amane's erasure of that memory, and more importantly, why he was doing it. I have a feeling that Tsukasa may have helped Amane push him to his decision to kill.
It's very interesting.
Um... So I was taking a look at the character test... for no reason at all... and...
He is the only one I read one of his lines worng... I read the last thing as "warm hugs" instead of "Warm things"... since this boy seriously needs a hug... especially after last chapter.
Ahh... after reading "warm hugs" Tsukasa and Nene immediately came to my mind. Give him a hug you two, he needs one. Or... really... give him as much as you can.
Also, I would Like to say this to him as well, on terms of last chapter.
Please... just do it... stop holding back! Get loose!
Chapter 100 was a bomb 💣 on mitsuba and kou but chapter 101 was a Amane nuclear explosion 💥
Was chapter 100 the bomb? Not for me. There was nothing to shock me. As for Amane, yes, it was a real explosion. I didn't expect something like this. I wish AidaIro would now give a backstory from Amane's perspective on how it was with Tsukasa, but I think AidaIro will give a memory for Amane of that particular day and what he really forgot. I really want the whole backstory twins already.
Amane fixing the clock and finally Tsukasa also appeared in the Showa Era.
I don't like the pose Tsukasa is in.
Maybe that's why Amane doesn't remember why he wanted to fix the clock. Tsukasa could erase what he was doing it for. The strange thing is that when he looked at the clock, he remembered coming and fixing the clock, but he couldn't remember why. That particular memory had been erased from his mind. It's possible that Tsukasa erased that memory from him then.
Considering how important it was for Amane to fix it , he must have known something was really bad will happaned and maybe Tsukasa was involved? Was he trying to stop something bad? Knowing it was coming.. or he wanted to solve a problem he had in a different way not by murder... I previously wrote that Amane must have had a really special reason to kill Tsukasa, and I keep coming back to the thought that possibly the clock is related to the murder case.
Amane knew/suspected that Tsukasa wasn't a "normal" human and possibly also knew about the existence of supernaturals at the school.
I wonder what the life of the twins was like when the mother returned from the temple with her son, after all, she did not get help so she went with the conviction that it was "not her son"
I have a feeling that Tsukasa helped Amane make the choice to kill him. Amane was forced to kill Tsukasa for some good reason.
The festival that is about to take place may be a shock for Amane to recall some events... and possibly get Amane backstory or backstory related to this event...
It seems that something really bad is going to happen and it's possible that the same thing is about to happen in the Shouwa era.
What really curious me is that he doesn’t even remember why he has to fix the clock at the end of the school festival
Any thoughts?
Chapter 101 was really wow for me... it was an amazing first chapter of the new arc.. it starts off really strong.
New promo art
Amane's the cutest ghost ever. In this art he looks really happy and his smile is real. My highest wish is for Amane to die and be truly happy with his brother. I hope AidaIro slowly enjoy Amane and Tsukasa together. btw Amane is the best!❤️❤️
It hit really hard. Amane repairing the clock. I'm so sad to see him sad and desperate to do anything to fix this clock. Repairing the clock was very important to him, but he failed.. Amane looks so cute, even when he's sad.... Seeing his living version makes me very happy. Amane's adorable even if he so sad!❤️
Perfection!!! Amane's perfection!!! ❤️❤️
This chapter was wholesome!!! 🥺✨
and also
This hit hard as well... Amane shows more and more that he misses being a normal student. My poor little moon😭 💔 Please AidaIro give him happiness🥺
Could you do an analysis on what Hanako’s life was like when he was human? And his relationship with the “fake” Tsukasa
As in the time gap between Tsukasa jumping in the hole and until he killed Tsukasa because in the 4pm book stacks, when spider face was cleaning up his wounds I see handprints on his wrists which kind of imply Tsukasa (or someone else) did…things
Also do you feel that the manga implies that sort of thing between Amane and Tsukasa too?
I am not very interested in Hanako’s relationship with Tsukasa, so I can't do a 'proper' analysis. But I’ll share some thoughts.
I personally don’t believe there is a ‘fake’ Tsukasa, he has always been weird, he never told anyone that the ‘god’ under the house copied his speech or seem to care much about it, and he didn't show any hint of hesitation or remorse about sacrificing animals to get his wishes, even cats and snakes.
Which was all to grant Amane's wishes, a brother he decided he would die for since four. He has been obsessed with Amane far before learning Amane would eventually kill him.
The only thing the “God” inside Tsukasa seems to have truly done is stunt his growth (he still acts like a child) and give him knowledge a normal human shouldn’t know.
Still, the horror child like framing of this change is the mom's point of view: Amane seems happy.
And Amane’s joy remains for years.
When Nene travels to the past and meets Amane, who appears to be at the very least eight years old, it is heavily implied he didn’t come with his parents, just Tsukasa.
At this point in the story, I don’t think he was being abused, physically or emotionally: He is eager to trust and help Nene, who is a stranger, and he displays a lot of confidence, honesty, and joy. Not being scared even when Nene try to steal his wishing paper.
He doesn’t seem particularly troubled with his family either. He ever implies a member of his family is crazy, or shows intentions of wanting to use his slip to ‘heal’ them, as a kid as sweet as him would likely be inclined to do. He seems a bit lonely cause his bro was focusing on something else that he can't interrupt instead of keeping him company, but that's about it.
And in Shijima's world they are buddies, which would be... weird... if Tsukasa eventually started to hurt him.
But I’ll be honest, considering how old this plot point is, Amane’s injuries are extremely vague. It could be anyone.
Maybe something happened, and Tsukasa got violent, and clingy to the point of being hurtful, maybe his parents snapped and Amane couldn't blame family, maybe is a third party, maybe is a curse, I don’t know, I don't plan to re-read the entire manga to get a better feel on it, but since you asked for my opinion, I personally think this turn for the worst in his life is partially the red house fault, and partially Amane’s own actions.
Let’s rewind a bit.
Tsuchigamori, or spider face, said the only person to alter their own fate was Amane. Not Tsukasa, who was influenced by future Kou, or Nene, who is always seeing the past: Just Amane.
Changing the future is such a big deal it became Tsuchi’s yorishiro, the spider can’t get over it. So I would say it is important to consider this is his ‘normal’ future.
So what changed Amane’s wish? What made him give up?
It wasn’t Tsukasa’s disappearance or reappearance. It was his meeting with Nene.
These slips are a big deal.
We are told they are rumored to make your wish come true in a land of supernaturals where every rumor so far was true. And that it is so hard to get all the five colors, that Yako was never able to, and she is an old spirit.
And the wording Amane used is... Concerning.
As the astronomy teacher was fated to be, Amane would have never met Nene again, and even in the case he was still teaching at by the time she was a student, she would not be an ‘onee-san’ anymore: He have to die before 14 for her to stay an onee-san when they met again more than sixty years later.
I do think the red house and Tsukasa and so on plays a big part in Amane’s fucked up life, but it is strange he only got injured and “gave up going anywhere” after meeting Nene and putting his wish on the Tanabata tree.
We have no info on this part of his life though so it’s anyone’s guess.
Here!

Today is officially Sakura day
This describes their differences very clearly
:)
I wonder what would the inner most reach boundary be for hanako since we already seen no. 2,3,5, and even 6
There are people also saying that the bathroom is not his real boundary and he just decided to hunt there cause of tsukasa but we all know that is probably not the case so what would the place even look or be if we were to go deeper to amane’s boundary?
Any thoughts
The Amane boundary was seen at the beginning (I think) is the boardcast room, and I think this is the deepest part of it
the bathroom is boundary belong to Hanako-san. Amane's HANAKO-SAN.This is his role to fulfill.
He said at the beginning that each of the seven mysteries are strongest in their own territory - for Amane as Hanako, it's a toilet, which he said. This is complete bs.
It's also obvious because it's "Hanako-san from the toilet" so I don't understand this statement which is really untrue.
ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT
