Lol I just love everyone sitting around discussing the legality and possible legal punishments for Sukuna’s crimes. And they’re like “Well he can’t be rehabilitated”. 🤣 And Sukuna just sitting there in the courtroom at the end grinning. Either he has a solid defense worked out already (love the joke I saw a while back about him sending Mahoraga to law school) or he knows a loophole. Maybe he could say since he’s no longer human, human laws don’t apply to him? Or hell maybe he’s just excited to experience such a unique cursed technique first hand (he saw it before through Yuji so he knows how it works but this is different).
But honestly, when we all started this series, who among us imagined that, at this late stage in the story, we would get courtroom battle with Sukuna? Great stuff.

NEW MAPPLETEA VIDEO JUST DROPPED!
And you’ve got me fucked up if you don’t think I’ll be rotating these images in my brain for the foreseeable future.
THE DIFFERENCES! THE PARALLELS! THE CUT FEATHERS VISIBLY GROWING BACK AND THE INJURY FROM ETOILES IN THAT LAST IMAGE!!
/lh but I've seen a few people talking about the philza and foolish wings interaction and saying purgatory strengthened their bond and they both have a lot more respect for eachother. I'm not saying this is wrong in any way but I feel like people are forgetting how big of a philza fanboy foolish has already been through out their time on the island. he already HAD a lot of respect for phil, he nearly idolizes him. even though they're not online at the same time very often, foolish is always excited to see him and (iirc) has called him very wise and a god before. do yall remember how excited foolish was when phil built the hot girl beach bar? he couldn't believe he got to witness The philza minecraft build something in front of him. and even today after their conversation, he called phil "a delightful sensation as always"
tldr: pls consider foolishs fanboyness if you evaluate his and phils relationship :]
ANYWAYS FUCK THE PHIL NEG IN THE TAG, LOOK AT THIS
MAPLETEA MY BELOVED HOLY SHIT THAT'S SO FUCKING COOL
I think it's interesting how Philza's lore seems to be portraying his fatal flaw to be hubris or greed, meanwhile the actual sword I see above his head is his complete undying loyalty in the people he cares about.
This got long so I'm putting my explanation under the cut
There's also Luffy. Phil had only met Luffy twice as far as I'm aware, only knew Luffy a matter of hours. But in that time decided he cared about Luffy enough to fight not one, but two very dangerous groups. Because he saw that Luffy was in danger and needed to be protected, he was willing to put himself in danger.
Like his conclusion that Forever is possessed, yes we know that it's accurate. But the fact that Phil came to that conclusion so quickly and stuck to it? Without even seeing Forever? Shows how much he trusts Forever, he literally couldn't fathom Forever hurting Tallulah on his own. He needed another explanation. And Phil has already shown that he won't give up on helping Forever, he's not willing to. He snapped at Tubbo for even suggesting it, and the only other time Phil got that pissed is when Wilbur accused him of not caring the eggs were missing.
Hell, the thing that practically kick-started Philza's lore? That started his downward spiral? The birdhouse incident? Happened because Phil saw a chance at helping his kids. He followed all the directions in a mysterious book, went to a secondary location with little to no resources without telling anyone, something he would normally never do, just to see his kids again.
If Philza's downfall is going to be caused by anything, it won't be by greed or hubris, it'll be his unflinching loyalty to the people he cares about.
Reading qphil's arc as DID makes his conversation with Tallulah so much more emotional to me.
(Rose) She used to protect us but now she can't . We can't talk about him (Ender). Talking about it causes more problems, it's going to make people ask more questions. We can't go telling people these secrets.
like, this is a conversation that people with DID who have families who know about it have, or even just people with DID talking to their alters. you can't tell your friends and your neighbors and your doctors and people you know, it's not safe. it makes people ask questions, makes people question your safety and sanity and everything else.
"I'm doing this for us?" "Are you?"
This is a conversation that people with DID have with themselves a Iot. Is what we're doing actually to help each other, or just ourselves? Is it just to maintain an unhealthy and sometimes dangerous status quo? It applies similarly in a dynamic with a family, especially one so open and close as Phil's.
You can't be telling people, Tallulah. Its gonna cause problems, okay. They're going to want to ask more, I'm going to have to explain this now. It starts a web of lies.
Most people with DID live covertly. That is, you probably won't know they have it unless they tell you. They mask and they hide and they lie, frequently even from themselves. Many people don't know they have the disorder because they are so deeply hiding. Denial is a key symptom.
Phil, like Fit said in the stream, isn't a very good liar. This is true. But holy fuck is he good at avoiding, minimizing, denying, and dissociating from it all.
And, most importantly:
"I'm sorry for shouting at you... You broke our trust. We weren't supposed to tell anyone else."
People with DID often view themselves as a 'we,' on account of the multiple separate states of identity. The 'we' is Phil, Rose, and Ender.
Philza Minecraft absolute chad, gots two tall spouses, a nice house, is a good dad, and tells interdimentional (?) Ancient beings to fuck off with no fear. Amazing.
Is something wrong?👑
The way qPhils voice went so soft and concerned when they saw where (code)Flippa was found, asking "You lived here?" and sounding genuinely sorry for her and then got the cage, nametag and anvil for the raccoon and helping making the tnt L better and wanting to redo the lavacast (without even mentioning or even seeming to think about the possible consequences for doing it a second time, even while claiming it was a dream he still seems way too flighty about the whole thing to just brush it off).
This birb man sees anything even relatively egg or kid shaped and just goes so soft for them I want to shake him so violently it makes my brain go all jdsaskaskldskasjcdjkjecnaah
the image of q!phil flying q!tubbo across the sky in a desperate attempt to escape will always haunt me.
i imagine his wings slowly deteriorating, phil being completely aware of how many feathers he can sacrifice before he loses his wings for good
he's supposed to be a beacon of hope for everyone on the island- the leader of team rojas, the winner of the Final Duel, the person with the most power but the person who is also the most helpless
almost all the eggs are gone, unable to be saved, and you can see the raw regret when phil realizes he should have taken dapper instead of tubbo, should have saved at least one egg from the nuclear fallout, but his wings are gone
he can't save anyone anymore. all he can do is try to pick up the pieces
