what a beautiful ending
What a fine young man! Certainly he's well-established and given a meaningful role within the narrative!
After thinking a while about seavbo, I finally found what I can enjoy about it. I translated my champwatt/seavbo text from Seawatts POV in English for y’all🙂↕️ I also tagged them by their respectful colors, just Incase and to make It more understandable. Please, enjoy!
——————————————————————————
“I don't think Seawatt didn’t feel anything for the Champion at all. You (my friend) say that Seawatt doesn't love Champion, and I agree with you! I don't think he loved him, but he's like. I don't think he wouldn’t care? He enjoyed his company. He knows that he love him, that he take care of him, he thinks about him. I would even say Seawatt is the only one who is important to him in civilization.
But it's still not serious. Perhaps, Champion understands this too.
Seawatt has a goal, and before their relationship becomes more serious, if at all, he must be sure that Champion won’t tell him to fuck off with the idea of returning the fighter level. Or maybe, in the end, he won’t starve and kill them like the rest of civilization. That's what's important to Seawatt.
Champion is not a good person. Seawatt too. They're both terribly offended and piqued by everyone. It is difficult to build a healthy relationship in such conditions. Especially, when their affair is built on lies and mistrust. Champion doesn't love real Seawatt. He loves whoever he's allowed to see. He doesn't know the man. From the very beginning, Seawatt pretends to be someone Champion would like. He's not a victim of abuse, of course. I don't think he suffered with it. My words above are not about the poor guy wearing a mask!!1! I'm sure he did it with an absolute understanding of what he was doing, consent and confidence. And yet, with such "freedom of choice," Seawatt is not free with him, never will be.
But Evbo is completely different. He is honest and genuinely kind. He helps unconditionally, even to those who wronged him in the past, or keeps messing with him currently. And he helped Seawatt too. He is ready to fight for all people.
It's comfortable with Champion. Evbo won't let you relax, but because he wants the best for you. He brings... life to life!!
People like Evbo are really changing the world. And it's fascinating, you want to reach for something like this. Evbo wants you to work, learn, and make mistakes. He wants you to become stronger, better. It's a joy when you see progress in what you like. In your life. And when you can share this experience with others.
No amount of pleasure will give you complete happiness when you are alone. And Champion would bring the whole world to his feet, but why all this if his heart is not calm? And Evbo offers to live without fear. Seawatt would like to finally breathe a sigh of peace for himself and for all those who are dear to him. We don't know if he told Champion about his past, but he opened up to Evbo almost immediately. I like it so much that he trusted him despite everything. What is it, if not true freedom?
Perhaps, Seawatt thought Champion would be the same like Evbo is. Would be a better ruler than the old man. Perhaps, he saw in his rage a desire for change. Perhaps not. Perhaps, he already understood what kind of person he was, and wanted to drown the damned civilization completely, through his hands. Perhaps all at once. But in the end, in order to change the civilization for the better, Champion needs to fight with himself. With his complexes and fears, and his ego. Evbo always understood what he wanted. And in comparison, Champion looks like an insecure, little boy.”
People forget that Kendrick isn't a hater of Drake for no reason.
Kendrick is defending the raping of Black American culture, calling out Drake for his mistreatment of Black American women specifically (Serena, Megan Thee Stallion, hood girls etc), calling out the weird alpha bro behavior where they basically describe wanting control over girls cuz grown women don't wanna date their misogynistic asses.
It's bigger than Drake. We have some former white rappers who turned country singers claiming rap/hip hop isn't a real art form while trying to gatekeep Beyonce from country. We have people using AAVE incorrectly and trying to correct Black Americans on their own dialect. We have anti Blackness skyrocketing during Black History Month via the hate spewed at the Black Grammy winners Beyonce, Doechii, and Kendrick.
Yes, the beef was entertaining to a lot, but to the Black American community the beef represented Kendrick fighting for our respect and using his hatred to protect another genre Black people created that would've been dubbed "vapid party music" due to Drake's colonizer mindset.
