Growing up, Draco reads a lot about Harry Potter in the papers and at six years old, decides he’s going to marry him. When he announces his plans to his parents, Narcissa tries to explain that six year olds can’t get married and “buying” Harry Potter for Christmas just isn’t an option.

Lucius is only half listening, too absorbed in his reading and simply replies, ‘of course, darling. You can have as many Harry Potters as you want.’

I see a lot of positivity posts about 12-year-olds just learning to draw.  Posts cautioning us to be mindful of 11-year-olds with no grasp of anatomy and 13-year-olds whose characters are all the same person with different hair and clothes, and I love those posts.  Those are great posts.  Keep those posts coming, tumblr.

But can I ask, what about the 25-year-old who just bought their first ever sketchbook?  What about the 32-year-old who’s been drawing for a month and has just about got the hang of a human-looking face?  What about the 67-year-old who finally has time to sit down and learn how to paint like they’ve always wanted?

Not everyone starts drawing as a child.  Not everyone learned as a preteen.  Some people start in college.  Some people start when their career is going well and they feel like it’s time for a new hobby.  Some people start after they’ve retired.

Not all beginner artists are kids, and I just think the adults ones deserve some encouragement, too.

For if you need ideas about what goals you want in life 😊

☕Coffee Barista- making coffee drinks for people and selling little sandwiches and making unique flavors. Could also take it a step forward and own your own coffee shop

🍰 Bakery- Baking sweets and goods, decorating with frosting, wholesome environment, cute decor. Owning one would be such a cute family business too with the kids helping out after school and hanging there with their friends

🍇 Farmer- tending to plants all day, lots of time outside, being able to eat and cook with fresh ingredients, taking care of animals, feeding baby animals, nice workout

🍔 Restaurant Owner- sharing homemade recipes, taking a passion for food, make people's nights, classy, good source of money too

🖌 Independent Artist- Although harder to achieve, very rewarding when you make money, freedom, using passion to make money, expressive

🌲 Forest Ranger- Lots of time outside, lots of nature, look out for ecosystems, less people, quieter, also lots of freedom, important for preservation, lots of time to think and read and pursue hobbies

👨‍👧‍👦 Run a Daycare- for those that like kids, important for development, help out busy parents, provide a fun place that kids want to go, be loved by many kids, enforcement of good behavior

🔮Metaphysical Shop Owner/worker- Work wit lots of crystals, aesthetic, opportunity to gather lots of knowledge, good for witches/wiccans, good way to meet people with similar interests

📚 Librarian- also lots of knowledge, reading, quiet, surrounded by books, help encourage others to read, being good at trivia, tutoring
