Harry sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose for what felt like the 20th time this month. Today was supposed to be a normal day, his day for paperwork and non-magical nonsense. So when his eyes fell on Draco, sitting as casually as possible in Harry’s office chair, Harry knew his day was done.

“What did you do this time?” Harry sighed, waving his hands in a way that indicated Draco should get the fuck out of his chair.

“I asked a wizard if he knew what I was….”

Harry looked at Draco quizzically. “What’s wrong with that?”

Draco sighed and reached into his pocket, pulling out a handful of glitter. Harry stared, already knowing where this was going but really hoping it wasn’t.

“Draco… Please tell me you didn’t.”

“….I did.”

Harry let his head fall to his desk, hands pulling out his hair in hard tugs.

“But- But, just listen! It was going great, I was broody and reciting poetry. He was totally hooked.”

“And then…?”

“And then I threw glitter in his face.”

“Draco, what the actual fuck? That’s not even… The vampire in that book fucking actually sparkles. Like “diamonds”… He doesn’t throw sparkles.“

“Oooooh….”

This relates to me on a spiritual level (though I can’t write at all)

draco: … harry, this is basic math, it’s not that har-

draco:

draco, visibly holding back tears: disgusting. absolutely repulsive. get out of my house.

does anyone just sit there and spend 10 minutes thinking about what to do and does nothing in the end? just me?

One piece fic

Chapter One

In the ocean, there is nothing and everything all at once. The place is filled with water, fresh and pure, uncontaminated from all the unhealthy pollution that came from the land and the air. And to the common, everyday stranger, the ocean is a confusing place, because it’s just so volatile. In one moment, there could be multiple schools of fish, each a different colour, a different shape or maybe even the odd jellyfish here and there, and the other, there could be nothing, nothing at all, just like the empty void that rules space as water rules the blue world.

But having lived in this place that seems to change its mind as easily as a teenager’s mood swing, the humanoid inhabitants of the sea has long grown used to the indecision of Mother Nature. In the middle of the ocean, far, far away from land for any interruptions to be a unwary beach-goer or scuba diver, and in between the border of the sunlight zone and the twilight zone, the Strawhats – all minus Robin – had gathered.

They chatted among themselves, making small talk with each other whilst floating around in a loose circle. Nami, known for her iconic orange hair and her undying love for money within the group, made special care to make sure two of their group’s best fighters (when it comes to brute force) are not placed next to each other, or directly opposite each other. Goodness knows how Zoro and Sanji manage to fight a reason – or a non-existent one – to fight each other. They had even fought just because they held eye contact for more than a fleeting second.

“When is Robin coming?” There is a small movement in the mass of water, which causes Nami to bob backwards a little due to being opposite Luffy, the leader in their group. Luffy lets out another whine, and flicks his fiery red-orange tail in impatience. Nami’s tail, smooth, thick and with a healthy sheen, unlike Luffy’s with tears and rips scattered on the thin skin, moves a little to stabilise herself.

A light frown paint across her features and she reprimands her captain – or would he just be a leader, since they’re obviously not pirates – but she knows that Luffy’s lack of patience, like a small kid, is one of his main characteristics. He can’t stray too far away from it, so it’s no surprise for the raven to complain about the waiting.

Some more moments pass in near silence. The bickering between Zoro and Sanji dies down, as does Luffy’s voiced-out complaints. The tight, almost suffocating embrace of tension envelopes the group as they wait for Robin’s arrival. Only Brook manages still calm out of all of them, but then, that’s because he doesn’t have a face.

This is one of the many fics I’ve started. I’m not going to carry on with this one but it feels like a waste to delete it all, so I’m posting it up here. Heh

A beautifully done interpretation of the Slytherin dorms.

The pool of water/ceiling light is based on the idea of an aristocratic Roman impluvium/compluvium. Gryffindor has a furnace in the center of the dorm rooms, so it seemed like an nice yin-yang effect as Gryffindor=fire and Slytherin=water. I’m not sure if the compluvium would magically let rainwater (and snow, and hail!?) in from the lake above, or not. I think it should.
