So two things. I just find it so funny the amount of times I’ve googled “students in Harry Potter’s year” when I’m trying to think of side characters for a fic. Like how do I not have them all memorized, there aren’t that many! But I always really want to get someone super duper obscure idk. (But that obscure character just doesn’t exist)

But when I just googled that list and read the name Mandy Brocklehurst. Omg……..the tension my body reacted with was honestly so overdramatic but also so real lmao. I just remember being so obsessed with how much Theo hated her in Detraquee cause everything he said about her was how I felt too ❤️❤️❤️ lmao I was like get rid of her already!!!!!!! Lmao but honestly it’s one of those ways where I love to be tortured by a slow burn.

Anyway yeah just wanted to share. Poor girl barely exists in canon but just seeing her name gave me war flashbacks

Back at it again with Dramione rants but I’m reading She Whom He Harbors and I genuinely cannot deal with how obsessed I am with this fic. I normally wouldn’t be soo into a fic that’s this smut-heavy but it’s honestly soooo good. Like I’m so obsessed with the writing and this plot that has me clutching my pearls constantly. And another thing that I think has me incredibly hooked is that usually when fics are this far postwar, Draco is either redeemed or trying to be redeemed. However…..this Draco……is kind of a toxic menace and I’m livingggggggg for it!

Just wanna pop in and share a silly little one shot that I wrote for the Dramione Writers Society NEWT writing fest. The theme was “Historical Hyperfixation” and my prompt was “Moon Landing US 1969.”

Summary:

Russian-born Draco Malfoy accepts a job assisting NASA with their mission to put the first man on the moon. Everything is going swimmingly, apart from the fact that he can’t stand his American coworker.

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.

if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.

when a character is written inconsistently because nobody thought about it that hard and you're like it's time for me to get in there.. and think about it that hard
