It's nearly 4 in the morning and I should be sleeping but I can't stop thinking about doomed yaoi. HEAD IN HANDS.... RUIN AND MONTY....

I'm just thinking about how Ruin has seen TSAMS Monty fall in love with Earth and EAPS Monty falling in love with Ballora. While they aren't his Monty, I can only imagine how much it must hurt to watch other versions of Monty have a relationship that he never got to fully experience

this is an appreciation post for some of the tsbs voice actors!!

davis - their range and fluidity is extremely impressive. there's something amazing about being able to play so many characters and have all of them feel like distinct, well-rounded *people*. i'm also frequently impressed by how smoothly they can switch between voices, especially as the mimic! such care and attention to detail, and i have to call out ruin in particular for being a stunning performance.

reed - it's sometimes hard to remember that moon, lunar, and the creator are all played by the same va. they're all so incredibly distinct. their performance as the creator deserves some recognition i think - it takes some skill to make a character inspire that much hatred. not to mention they're hilarious.

kat - their acting as earth has nearly brought me to tears on many occasions. also, it has to be said that their writing for earth is incredible. beautiful. heart-wrenching. they've created one of the most realistic and heartfelt characters i've seen in a long time.

matt - i'm so impressed by the mimic and the way matt and davis flow through different voices. it's incredibly cool and i can't remember ever seeing anything like that done before, especially in one take like i'm assuming they record it. imo the speed of matt's improvement in skill over the past year+ is almost more impressive than the voice acting itself. i also literally fall more in love with puppet every time she's on screen.
