mfs be like "objectums are so cool! i wish i was objectum!" or "i think feel platonically towards my plushies so im objectum too!!" and the second an actual objectum person has a modded plush/inflatable or some shit everyone loses their mind. same shit goes for people who get weirded out by OS/OR people referring to their partners as their partners. its like wow no shit its a sexuality and not an aesthetic, its not a choice, its a genuine romo/sexual attraction we feel. either u support us or not.

I know this won’t be news to a majority of the people who will see this but I genuinely wish more people understood that objectum is so much more than just being attracted (emotionally or sexually) to objects, I value and have many micro relationships with daily objects in my life outside of my partnerships and cherish and appreciate my interactions with everyday appliances. It’s very much become an every day part of my life and had encouraged me to appreciate the little things in my environment and daily life that many may overlook. I find it very easy to become fond of and even look out for quirks in all sorts of things that give objects their own unique characteristics and even personalities.

It feels like such a beautiful thing to me it’s a shame not everyone gets it but at the same time I know the people who do definitely understand and I’m grateful for that.
