Just realizing how over time the way I think about the art I'm creating has changed so much over the years.

Only recently now, for the first time in the 3.5 years I've been actually been starting to think about viewership and the emotional impact I want to bring out through the tools, style, etc. in the art rather than the overall skill I want to show. I feel like this has definitely made my art have a more appealing feel to it that it didn't have nearly as much as before.

I think something else that has definetely changed is how precious I am with my art. Today I've been working on a new piece, but I decided I wanted to combine this "painting" style I did but in a full body character in my normal style. I've been really struggling with figuring out the painting/rendering bit, but when I know somethings not working I get rid of it, I go over it, whatever. I'm not precious with my art, because I know if I've done it once I can do it again. This gives me so much freedom to create without worry, and I think really allows me to create much more interesting pieces.

I think my art style will be changing a lot over the next while, I don't even know if I'll really have a consistent art style after this anymore (and won't that be interesting?).

Both who I am and how my art is is changing, and I want to document as much as I can onto Tumblr, rather than my DeviantArt, even though I have roughly 400 less followers here (like 10 or something, compared to the 405 on DA).

This place feels more right though.
