This is a sick person. She did not like that I called her out for swearing so much. Then she said die and kill myself.
Just in case anyone else was curious.
Another great Spuce shot. I don't believe you can see this in America.
A blooming Norway spruce/gran. Värmland, Sweden (May 14, 2019).
Can you text me privately?
Nope
I didn't recognize the red buds as being precones. This in fact ISa true Spruce. Picea abies. Spruce fir or European Spruce.
European spruce, also known as Norway spruce/gran. Värmland, Sweden (May 10, 2024).
This is not a true Spuce. Needles are similar but spruced have no flowers. They are conifers and thus have small Spuce cones. True Spuce are Picea genus. I'm not sure what genus this belongs to.

Those were the days my friend
I'd thought they would never end

The newest edition of Teach. Write. is online! I have dedicated the Spring/Summer 2025 edition of Teach. Write. to the indomitable spirit of the people of Western North Carolina and all those brave and caring people who have offered help. As I was putting this edition together, wildfires were raging all around our area, fueled by the deadwood from Hurricane Helene and more high winds, but the rain we've had the past couple of days has offered some relief.
Trouble is, we're expecting more severe weather, more floods.
And yet, no matter what comes our way, I'm convinced that writing about it helps. That's why I started Teach. Write. in 2017, to give disheartened teachers like me a chance to express themselves and to read the work of others who've taught or been encouraged by a teacher, to share the troubles and the joys of teaching, and of life itself.
I hope whether you are a teacher or not, that you'll submit a poem, story, or essay to Teach. Write. Submissions for the Fall/Winter 2025 edition open today through September 1. See the guidelines for more information

Hey! I hope you're doing well. I’m reaching out because I really need help getting more eyes on my pinned post. It’s for a family in need, and a simple reblog could make a huge difference. If you can, even just a small donation helps. Would you mind boosting it? Thank you so much! 💛
Sorry No. God bless you.
I saw this exact formation last night out my bathroom window at that time. So cool.

This is a scamming company. Tried to get me to update my Comcast account because my payment didn't go through.
Looks legit until you see the return email.
Too much exposure. Seen it too much.
Queer students deserve to feel safe at school! We're in our third year of giving grants to put the power in their hands to make their schools more welcoming - students know what they need most in their own communities and their own schools.
Through 50 States, 50 Grants, 5,000 Voices, we've awarded over $1.5 million in grants across the U.S. to support student-led projects. Our third season has some of the most badass projects yet, like these:
❤️ “With this grant, we’ll establish an LGBTQIA+ community space in the library, open to all students, with guest speakers, arts and crafts, LGBTQIA+ books and literature, and LGBTQIA+-specific resources.” - Pocatello, Idaho
🧡 “Our project aims to support LGBTQ+ students through teacher training, development of gender-neutral bathroom protocols, and the organization of a district-wide Queer Prom.” - Gypsum, Colorado
💛 “We’ll take students from the 3 middle schools and our local high school to Honolulu Pride to make local LGBTQ+ friends, feel accepted in a large group, and see the community beyond just school.” - Ewa Beach, Hawai'i
💚 “We’re going to increase access to queer literature by working with a local nonprofit to expand our school’s collection, host storytelling events, and foster community connection." - Mobile, Alabama
💙 “Our plan is to create new Inclusivity Zones across the state in critical areas for local GSA clubs to meet, plan shared events, and be their own safe space.” - Charleston, West Virginia
💜 “We’ll host the Rainbow Youth Summit for LGBTQIA+ youth from across southern California to network, learn, and have fun in a safe, judgement free and supportive environment.” - Cathedral City, California
These students are truly the definition of making things better - you can see the rest of the amazing projects lined up across the country on our blog here!
