I don't know how much this has been talked about or if there's something that'll totally refute my little theory (or prove it right but I haven't seen it) but here goes:

I really think Crosshair was supposed to kill Cham here too.

But we see him hesitate and even aim the Firepuncher away

And then we see Rampart looking over at him like this

And in the next episode when Rampart tells him "I'm more worried about what you're capable of," I don't think he just meant finding Hera.

And one of two:

Either Crosshair doesn't have the chip anymore by this point and he's directly going against an order

Or he does still have the chip (unbeknownst to him) and is fighting it

They did give his comm link to Omega, they must have grabbed the rest of his gear Force Willing!!!

"Bad Batch" thoughts

Guys...I just realized something.

Crosshair in his Bad Batch armor...

More than likely, we're never going to see this look again!

Think about it:

The last time we saw Crosshair wearing his Bad Batch armor was when they returned to Kamino for Omega in episode one. When they were captured, all their armor was taken to the hangar. However, Crosshair (unwillingly) joined up with the Empire and got his Imperial armor instead.

Now, we don't know what happened to his belongings and his old armor after that. Considering that he was now part of the Empire, I get the feeling Crosshair might not have wanted to keep it. Or, if anything, he would've just left it in the hangar to collect dust. What can probably be agreed on is that it was just left somewhere on Tipoca City...

Now that city is destroyed...gone...

And with Crosshair's Bad Batch armor along with it 😔

the small smirks they have on their faces after Hunter says “But when you have to hit a precise target from 10 klicks, Crosshair’s your man” I’m going to SOB HUNTER ROASTS WRECKER AND TECH AND THEN HYPES UP CROSSHAIR THEY HAD THE CLOSEST BOND WITH EACH OTHER OUT OF THE WHOLE GROUP AND THAT MAKES THEIR FALLOUT SO MUCH MORE HEARTBREAKING SORRY I CAN’T BE CONVINCED OTHERWISE
