"you’re lying." obanai mumbled. "that’s sad."

"tomioka, how sweet!" mitsuri called.

giyuu’s eyes narrowed at rengoku, the bright man just smiled innocently.

"i had no idea they didn’t know," he sheepishly said.

as soon as giyuu got back from his mission, the flame hashira informed him that his wife was in the butterfly mansion. something had happened, and she needed to be taken to shinobu. unfortunately, rengoku wasn’t known for being quite—blasted eardrums will do that to a person—so the other hashira in the perimeter got to hear (for the first time) that not only was giyuu NOT single, he was MARRIED.

they ended up following him through the halls, pestering him with questions until they reached the room you stayed in. your husband ignored them like usual, the only thing on his mind being your well being.

his nerves were calmed, however, immediately upon seeing you laying in bed, a smile on your face as you chatted with shinobu.

"how are you feeling?" giyuu’s tone was soft as he blocked you from the prying eyes of the other hashira in the doorway. he made his way towards your side.

"tired." you smiled at him, letting your husband hold your hand and run his thumb over your fingers. "shinobu said it was a false contraction."

"it was caused by stress," your friend’s calming voice said. "makes sense, tomioka, anyone married to you would be on edge."

your husband just grumbled at his friend as you giggled. he then helped you sit up in bed, the blankets falling off to reveal your pregnant stomach to the small audience watching.

"you had sex?!" sanemi screamed.

oblivious to the small mass of people staring at you, sanemi’s outburst startled you, causing you to grab onto your husband’s haori. he instinctively pulled you close, his soft look switching to a death glare towards the doorway.

"hush!" giyuu seethed at him, finally giving attention to the posse. "she’s nine months pregnant; shut up."

although listening and lowering his voice, sanemi didn’t let his question go unanswered. "you’re not a virgin?"

"go away," giyuu deadpanned. "all of you, go away. now."

"it’s okay, darling," you tried to soothe him. "maybe you should introduce me to your friends."

you felt him tense up at that. he didn’t let go of your hand, and he only moved half a step away from you (half of them still couldn’t see you), and he spoke with a monotone voice. "this is my wife, y/n. she’s pregnant with our first child."

the was no verbal reaction from the onlookers, just looks of disbelief from the four of them. it felt like you were an animal in the zoo with the way they were all staring dumbfounded at you.

it took a couple minutes for shinobu and rengoku to get the others out, leaving you and giyuu alone in the room. as soon as the door closed, your husband grabbed your face and peppered kisses all over it, causing you to giggle. he took a seat on the edge of the bed to be closer to you.

"i’m so sorry," he said, kissing your lips. "i’m sorry i wasn’t here."

"it’s okay, baby." you let your head rest on his shoulder. "i’m just glad i didn’t give birth."

"i would never forgive myself if i was gone for that." giyuu’s hand ran up and down your back comfortingly.

you sigh in relief, turning your head to place a kiss on his neck.

"well now that you’re here, let’s get this baby out of me."

You had successfully escaped the infinity castle away from your father and his demon's eyes. One demon, in particular, was tasked with watching you and as of right now was shitting bricks cause he couldn't find you.

Walking out in the open air was something you never got to experience. You liked the outside but you couldn't just stop and look around so you followed your father's tracks.

It happened in a big blur you had followed your father out of the infinite castle to his other family when you were taken away by the kakushi.

They took you away. You don't know where you are but it's no where near home.

They put you in a room without windows you didn't understand why, living in the infinity castle they had loads of windows even if they just lead to other rooms. You've never seen the sun and your father had taught you to fear it.

The first person you saw was a man with a scar covering the top half of his face. He had a soft smile of his face matched with a soft personality. You couldn't help but feel at peace whenever him and his children came by.

Days had went by with you in his care. You didn't mind staying in the small room but you did miss your father.

"Do you feel like talking today." He waited for a response that never came. "That's fine my child. Take your time." He reached his hand out to you. "I want you to meet the demon slayers."

'My child' your father never called you any terms of endearment. You liked it.

Your father warned you about the demon slayers. He told you to stay away from them. That they were dangerous.

So you were terrified.

"Hey, Y/n... Wake up it's time to go home." A familiar voice said to you as you were shaken awake.

"It wasn't very nice to run away from me like that. I got in trouble cause of you." A whiney Doma said while picking you up.

"I didn't technically run. We were playing hide and seek, and I just happened to find a good spot." You replied not worried at all about the consequences of your actions.

getting back at the mansion you were greeted by your father and his usual scowl.

Hide N Seek was permanently banned in the infinity castle and Doma was no longer able to watch over you. Now you were babysat by Kokushibo and Akaza. Strictly.

I tend to yawn quite a bit, a very very heavy sleeper, constantly sleepy, have eyebags for days, and my energy is still going💀. reader is also an esper and tends to stay up late pretty late often. But they’re also a teensy weensy bit touch starved so the second they get picked up or hugged they have a small goofy lovestruck grin while giggling. And as they’re being forced to get sleep for once, they’re muttering about how they will exact they’re revenge as they’re literally latched onto them 💀💀💀. You can fall asleep any where. When he finds you sleeping on your food he is not surprised.

Everytime he finds you he picks you up and brings you to a proper bed. You gladly accept and wrap around him like a koala.

But as soon as the sun goes down you can never sleep. You do everything but sleep. You sometimes even wake him up just to cuddle and talk.

He might even find you using your powers to float around your house just so you don't have to walk

"Ritsu... Psssst. Ritsu." You whispered while shaking him roughly. He jumped up.

"What is something wrong?" He pulled you into a protective hug while looking all around.

You giggled, "no silly, I just couldn't sleep."

He looked over at the clock on the nightstand. 3:34 am. He sighed deeply, laid down with you in his arms. He went back to sleep.

Shou

He practically drags you around everywhere. Sleeping or not. Constantly tries to wake you up but never works.

Threatens to leave you wherever you are if you don't wake up or to drop you cause you don't want to walk.

I can see him trying skin care routines with you, like face masks, foot masks and different lotions without during the middle of the night.

Also during the middle of the night to try and tire you would practice your powers on each other.

"So how long do I have to keep this on my face." Shou called out to you from the bathroom. "Ten minutes, then peel it off." You replied.

It was 2 in the morning but neither of you cared.

When the 10 minutes were up and he peeled it off he went to find you in the bed knocked out, snoring n all.

He smiled turning off the light and joining you in bed.

It was one of the very few times you slept before the sun came up.

He thought you were pretty cool

Douma is very unpredictable and caught you off guard that didn't stop you from having a big comeback

"Aww, that's too bad. We could've had so much fun together... Oh well." He turned and walked away.

You rose from the ground, sword in hand.
