What advice do you have for an anyone trying to write poc characters more accurately?
Though I know it’s not up to minorities to educate the masses, I figured as an Afro-Latino creator you might have some helpful insight to share with us.
Best advise I can give is to write them as people. In this day an age there is a lot of criticism about how we should depict a race. And it doesn't help that the media has become so obsessed and meticulous about how we are supposed to portray people of color that they forget they are people. Not something that needs to be categorized and given subgroups. Yeah, it's not easy writing about ethnic cutlers, and most time I avoid it and write fantasy cuz I know I am going to miss something, and some one is going to get pissed about it. We are people, we are going to mess up. Heck, I've bin corrected of my own cultural background several times, both by my own people of the DR and those who have never stepped foot on the island (DR- Dominican Republic) What can you do but say hey, I'm sorry, I'm human. I'll try to remember next time. Writ however you see fit, however you think would satisfy YOU. That is the first step, then focus on the little things. It is nice to consider a characters cultural background, but if the story is about you living in the city while fighting off an alien invasion, who cares if you black, white, Hispanic, Asian or an Irish whitewashed vampire that moved to the stats and works nightshifts wearing Egyptian gothic fantasia robs with a white button up and slacks. Story is a story, just have fun with it.

Well, characters wise, I only have 1 Asmr based character, and that's Alfy. I'd quite enjoy being with him since he's a musical little deer and I love music, being a singer and all that.

Bismuth(gem galaxies campaign)- she's pretty chill and is usually the voice of reason. I, on the other hand, can get a bit chaotic but I think I'd like being around her
Hazel(crystal curse)- Hazel is more of an introverted explorer who has WAY too much emotional baggage. We'd definitely just sit and cry together

@magebunkshelf I'd have to say either Mage since my social battery can die pretty quickly and it wouldn't be too over the top of a conversation. Also, I love video games and he's a sweet little guy.... plus, we're both British ☕️
@obsidian-lantern Surprisingly, I'd say Zefestin. I know he's not really a... 'on land kind of fishy',... YET... but that opens up so many opportunities to introduce him to stuff on land... like skiing.
@dayspriteofficial In all fairness, probably the character I would have the most fun with is Charis. She fits my 'enthusiasm' energy, when I'm willing to interact with others and she's just generally really sweet.
@capitalmaudios, probably Tethys. Now, I know she doesn't like me in the series so far... BUT GIANT WOMAN. Also, i enjoy characters who have her 'I will bite you' and 'go away' energy.
If you could hang out with one of your characters or their listener for a day, who would it be?

The obvious go-to would be Mitch, but as much as I would adore hanging out with the lil lad, he can be pretty high energy while I'm really not XD I think he's the type to pick up on that though, he seems to get along well with Nem who is also like me on energy. Mitch would be an amazing gaming buddy
Honestly Nem would be really chill, they're soft-spoken and earnest, I think hanging out with them would feel really warm. Plus I think some chill company would mean the world to them
Aru can be a bit of a mild flirt which I never know what to do with, but he knows when to be serious. He's that really huggy friend who's just happy to be friends with you!
Also who wouldn't want to talk with the moth for a day? They're about as shy as it gets but they were coming out of their shell a little by the end of Moth 3, I think they were starting to enjoy spending time with the snowboarder.
Soooo somehow, this question gave me a really cool idea for an audio a little bit down the line, gonna go take some notes...

ALFY ON THE OTHER HAND!
Since Alfy is already a deer halfblood, being human to him would be like the 2nd coming of christ. For as nervous as he gets due to being a halfblood, he does like being half deer. He'd probably panic and be like: "WHERE THE DIVINES DID MY TAIL GO!?", all while trying to get used to having feet and not hooves.
(The poor guy would definitely fall over at least twice)

But Fliqpy will learn! First, he will learn to understand his feelings, then accept them, then express them, then express them appropriately and in moderation. (It's just more fun for me to throw up problems than to demonstrate their solution, so I just designate them alphabetically ahahahahahahahahah.)
