What I like about Tumblr's tag system especially is that the tags do not take up the body of the thing you've posted. Posting work on Xwitter or Instagram feels so damn needy when I put tags in the body text, and maybe it's a thing I need to get over personally too (because obviously I don't really mind when other people do it) but then also ALSO, THERE ARE TEXT LIMITS. If I want to add ANY description I can't also add tags. I'm too long winded for that shit.
“average person eats 3 spiders a year” factoid actualy just statistical error. average person eats 0 spiders per year. Spiders Georg, who lives in cave & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
Oh my god, I saw the "you cannot eat money" one on Pinterest ages ago and I've loved it ever since. Was nobody going to tell me it was made by the same person who makes the gay medieval dogs???
Anyway, fun fact I love freaky slightly gory abstract animal art. It gives me feelings
Honestly I came here for the abstract feral dog art but im def staying for the anthro dog yaoi 😩👌
Thank you! Sometimes you get abstract feral dog art and sometimes you get anthro dog yaoi. ✨ Variety ✨
Edit: realized that since I've gained a bunch of followers during the past few months, a lot of you probably haven't seen my non-oc canine art.
Of fucking course
What sick bastard doesn’t
For some reason, I'm impressed to see how widely the ages of Tumblr users vary, but it's awesome! And this advice is probably all excellent (I can't really say anything because I haven't even graduated school yet) so yeah
I turn 30 next month so here’s what I learned in my 20s:
—don’t work for startups, they’re always one ‘innovative idea’ away adding ‘sell your kidneys on the black market’ to your job description.
—keeping a collection of basic OTC medicine on you will save your life one day. I recommend Advil, Imodium, and TUMS.
—those little single-use glasses cleaning wipes are 1000% worth the money
—overly self-depreciating jokes just make people uncomfortable, wean yourself off of them
—you can buy dehydrated mini marshmallows in bulk online and they’re a godsend for hot cocoa
—people don’t care if you have fidget toys on your desk they just want to play with them
—try to go to bed BEFORE the existential ennui kicks in
YEAH MORE DINOSAUR POETRY ART!!!!
[image id: a four-page comic. it is titled “immortality” after the poem by clare harner (more popularly known as “do not stand at my grave and weep”). the first page shows paleontologists digging up fossils at a dig. it reads, “do not stand at my grave and weep. i am not there. i do not sleep.” page two features several prehistoric creatures living in the wild. not featured but notable, each have modern descendants: horses, cetaceans, horsetail plants, and crocodilians. it reads, “i am a thousand winds that blow. i am the diamond glints on snow. i am the sunlight on ripened grain. i am the gentle autumn rain.” the third page shows archaeopteryx in the treetops and the skies, then a modern museum-goer reading the placard on a fossil display. it reads, “when you awaken in the morning’s hush, i am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight. i am the soft stars that shine at night. do not stand at my grave and cry.” the fourth page shows a chicken in a field. it reads, “i am not there. i did not die” / end id]
a comic i made in about 15 hours for my school’s comic anthology. the theme was “evolution”

Red SeaWings are also plausible, mostly in deep sea areas!! Red is one of the darkest wavelengths, so to speak (it's not literally darker, just technically. colour theory stuff blah blah blah), so it blends in better than any other colour! Even blue! Many deep sea creatures are red because of this -- giant/colossal squids and scaly-foot gastropods, for example. They're both dark red.
And also, in super deep areas, if there are any SeaWings down there, they'd probably be white or very pale, because they don't need pigmentation to protect themselves from sunlight or to blend in.
I personally think leafwings and seawings should be allowed to be more colourful then they cannonically are because plants and underwater animals are very colourful 👍👍👍
I am a beleiver in Red LeafWings, whether that be their natural color or from changing seasons.
I have a wof blog now: @seagulltheseawinglikeschips
A Warrior Cats blog will probably be next, but I won't make it until/unless I begin regularly posting about warriors, which is unlikely
I reblog things here. Main blog is Aposterous (I post art there)
