i think it's really funny when formally fat people go "body positivity is a scam because when i was fat i was miserable and i hated myself but now that i'm skinny i feel alot happier" and it's like well that's because society treats fat people like subhuman dogshit for daring to breathe in public and treats skinniness as the pinicle of human excellence, so i think that's the reason you aren't as depressed maybe.

Body positivity is a step in the right direction for some people's recovery but the absolute number one thing that helped me was immersing myself in fat liberation. Starving was so much less appealing when I started to understand and believe that food and weight and being fat is morally neutral. It is possible and perfectly ok to be happy and fat. I'm thriving and I'm the heaviest I've been in years. I promise it's ok.

The crux of the anti trans movement is a war on bodily autonomy. They don't want you to have any agency over what you look like, how you dress, who you date, whether to have kids, etc.

They want total control over you. Not just trans people. Not just queer people. You. Everyone.

Trans people are just a scapegoat. They want total control over everyone's self expression. They want the right to mold you into their perfect little cog in their dehumanizing machine.

aside from any ethical or political discussion, the use of generative AI in amateur projects really sucks to me. I think video games where you can tell all the voice acting was done by one of the developers buddies is great. I love when indie album art was painted by someone who doesn't really know how to paint. I really believe that there's a lot of value in amateur projects where it's clear the people making it didn't have a lot of resources.

If you use AI in projects then it'll be distracting, and if you do everything yourself you'll fall short, and it'll still be distracting, but instead of being frustrating or just plain cheap it'll be endearing.

that's not to mention that using generative AI usually garners a lot of ill will, especially in indie spaces.
