13th Hour

This one truly took so long to paint ;_; I've always loved paintings with lots of tiny hidden details but couldn't work on those very often because of my hand injury. But I decided to really indulge this time. Most of my paintings take 1-3 recording sessions but this one took 10 ahahaha

The character is Dante, a painter from my work in progress novel about artists titled 1000 Words Unframed. He's an eccentric one and likes to paint trompe l'oeil, aka illusions. Here he's painting a bunch of clocks onto his wall, but none of the clocks are accurate, some having 13 hours, one clock is a spiral, another is made of eyeballs lol. He is also a lover of cats, hence all the cat portraits and kitties hanging out. Here are some close ups of all the details!

Here's a timelapse of how I painted it. The bottles and table in the foreground started as 3D models in SketchUp. The rest is painted in Paint Tool SAI. The full HD image, 10 art videos, and PSD file will be DMed on Patreon.com/Yuumei on April 5th.

Sooooo you guys have seen I've been yapping a LOT about this little game idea I have lately. Well, I've talked to some people with more knowledge and experience on this sorta thing, and they're on board! Since it seems like this idea is doable, and with more and more people offering to help, it's getting more and more closer to becoming a reality!

Guys, can I say something? Treasure these last 115 days, because I think this might be my last countdown round. Paramount is openly zionist, and I don't think I even need to comment on the other issues I've been having with the media itself. You've absolutely seen other people complain about the trailer today. This blog has felt more and more like an obligation as the years go by. I'm pretty sure I made it when I was literally a freshman in high school? I am a sophomore in university now. My interests and ideals have changed...a lot...since then. Even besides my moral issues with the production company, Sonic isn't my big important special interest anymore. I like Sonic! But it's not my main draw. It feels weird to tie myself so closely to my 14 year old self's hardcore obsession. Maybe things will be different by the time a theoretical fourth movie releases. Who knows? I am just not having fun at the moment. I'll keep the countdown running until it's supposed to end, but I doubt you'll hear from me much after that.
