I'm just imagining him watching the World Grand Prix and going insane.

(If you don't know who Carl is, he is from the book Cars: Struck by Lightning. he was Lightning's "best friend" from the racing academy they trained at. He betrays Lightning and leaves, gets a career and disappears)

The best part about writing humanized cars for me is to do with the fact that Lightning doesn't actually have doors.

He has these 2 silly things on his roof, it's established that those are his rear view mirrors.

Now, if a racecar has no doors, it has a roof opening, the driver enters this way.

So I imagine Human Lightning just falls in awkwardly and doesn't do it the normal way ever.

My friend called me this morning and just started off with no hello or anything.

"You know in Once Upon A Studio where every Disney character comes to life? Where are the Pixar characters?"

"It's just the disney characters, the Pixar characters are probably at Pixar studios."

"They're probably fighting for their life."

"Huh."

"The Pixar characters are in life threatening situations every second in some of their movies. They're probably fighting a monster or something."

"Go to sleep."

And I couldn't stop thinking of how funny the idea was

When you realise that if Mater hadn't crashed Lightning's introduction Axelrod would've been outed right then and there.

Cuz he would've pissed himself and had no one to blame it on

And if anyone says "what about Lightning? He was next to Axelrod." Lightning was too far away from Axelrod to take the blame.

He now lies on a hospital bed, his tiny body trembling, his breath slowly fading under a ventilator. His eyes are half-closed, as if life is escaping him right in front of me, and I am helpless, devastated, unable to save him.

The doctors told me that the only hope to save him is urgent surgery, but they are demanding an amount I cannot afford.
