It's Ineffable Kinktober 2024, and the Rennies are back with a whole new series of smutty oneshots from all over the timeline in this AU. Prequels and sequels, cut scenes and rarepairs! How have Aziraphale and Crowley been faring since their most recent happily ever after? Will Gabriel ever figure out that he's not the most important man in Aziraphale's life? How did Beez and Muriel get together? Why can't Eric get Crowley out of his head? Find out the answers to these questions and more, posting all month in October 2024.
I'm not planning on covering every single prompt, but I have plans for more than half of them, and I'll be updating every few days! Each is a standalone oneshot, too, so don't worry about getting caught up in any cliffhangers.
First up is Prompt #1, Wings, my Human AU take on a wingfic, featuring Aziraphale, Crowley, and Gabriel.
Head on over to AO3 to read the first chapter and subscribe for updates all month!
Thank you thank you thank you to @quona for the amazing art, as always!
I originally painted this for a project that got delayed fairly substantially, and given today's news, I thought we could all use some South Downs fluff. Love you all so much, Q
Oh someone got our poem reference, @thescholarlystrumpet !
For anyone interested, the title of my flappers painting comes from a beautiful poem, "For the Goddess Too Well Known", by Elsa Gidlow, a British-born Canadian-American poet who published the first openly lesbian book of poetry in North America in 1923 (!), titled On A Grey Thread.
For the Goddess Too Well Known
I have robbed the garrulous streets,
Thieved a fair girl from their blight,
I have stolen her for a sacrifice
That I shall make to this night.
I have brought her, laughing,
To my quietly dreaming garden.
For what will be done there
I ask no man pardon.
I brush the rouge from her cheeks,
Clean the black kohl from the rims
Of her eyes; loose her hair;
Uncover the glimmering, shy limbs.
I break wild roses, scatter them over her.
The thorns between us sting like love's pain.
Her flesh, bitter and salt to my tongue,
I taste with endless kisses and taste again.
At dawn I leave her
Asleep in my wakening garden.
(For what was done there
I ask no man pardon.)
i have brought her laughing (to my quietly dreaming garden) ------------------------------ The scene: A smoky, velvet-lined speakeasy smudged carelessly somewhere in the pocket of a roaring, glittered New York City, 1924, nighttime. Prohibition is on, but the law books never really dissuade anyone from getting a drink, not if they know where to go. It sure as Hell doesn't stop Crowley from taking her Angel out for a drink, because Aziraphale wanted one. And hey, it's the jazz age, Crowley knows where to get weed again.
This painting is one half of a collaboration I did with my dear friend @thescholarlystrumpet, who wrote a fantastic companion piece on AO3 (Rated M, mind the drug use tag).
“I got something else to liven up your final night in town. If you’re feeling a little… daring.” Crowley looked sidelong at Aziraphale and arched one penciled-on brow. Aziraphale wiggled happily and slid off the stool to sidle closer, until her head was practically on the Demon’s bare shoulder. “Do tell.” Crowley tried not to shiver as she could feel the Angel’s breath against her heated skin, smell the heady potpourri of perfume, wine, and a pinch of ethereal sweat, taste it on her (currently unforked) tongue. She held up the expertly rolled joint between two fingers accented by red painted talons. “It’s been a very long time, I think, since we really… indulged.” Turning her head just so, nearly nose to nose with her friend. “Don’t you think we’ve earned it?” “Why, you wicked temptress,” Aziraphale murmured, her voice low and slightly breathless, sly smile belying any hint of admonishment.

Beautiful, soft, and lovely piece. Az looks like an icon entirely deserving of worship. WITH A BUNNY SLIPPER.
I loved Song of Songs 4:7 by @zeldahime so much that I immediately had to make art. Go read it if you are also enjoy soft divinity kink featuring turbovirgin Crowley fumbling his way through body worship (Explicit, 3290 words).
I bet Tumblr is going to crunch this art something terrible but it's also available full-size on AO3.
❤️❤️❤️
Love our Rennies so much.
Here's all the Rennie art I've done so far, for those of you that need any further convincing to go read Cem's work...
Can’t believe I made it to the end! When I first had the idea to do a few of the Kinktober prompts in my extended Of Fire and Falcons universe, I was thinking of keeping all of my entries under 1000 words and doing maybe ten of the prompts. 20 chapters and 55K words later, that’s obviously not what happened! But I’ve really enjoyed this as a writer, jumping around the timeline, writing rarepairs and new character POVs, developing my semi-OC characters, and trying out new moods and styles. If you’ve been along for the ride with me, thank you so much for reading! But if you haven’t taken a peek yet, I hope you give these stories a chance.
Here’s the final crop of stories:
22: skipped
23/Masturbation (Furfur): After an evening watching Aziraphale and Crowley in action, Furfur needs some time to himself.
24/Danger/Helplessness (Crowley/Eric): After a month on the road in very close quarters, tensions between Crowley and Eric come to a head.
25/Feeding/Food Play (Aziraphale/Crowley): When Crowley prepares a sensory dinner for Aziraphale, things take an unexpectedly emotional turn.
26: skipped
27: skipped
28: Cuckold (Aziraphale/Crowley/Ten/Fourteen): Crowley steps out for the night, and Aziraphale waits for him to return.
29: skipped
30: skipped
31: Creator’s Choice: Polyamory (Aziraphale/Crowley/Ten/Fourteen): Aziraphale and Crowley invite Chris and Matt to visit them at home for the first time. Oh yeah, this is an 8400-word sequel to Special Guest Stars, and you know what’s in it.
To catch up on the rest of the stories in this series, head on over to AO3!
Thank you so much to Cowie, Ring, Ghosty, Garo, Joy, and TV for sticking with me through this journey. Your support means the world to me.
And thank you to @quona for the amazing art, as always!
And now I definitely need a nap.
Laying down some color flats on Crowley for my next piece. Working title: Little Railed Riding Hood

of fire and falcons - aziraphale (aka falconer daddy beardziraphale) --------------------------------- OH HO! I finally finished one of the full character portraits for @cemeteryangel725's lovely Renaissance Faire AU fic, Of Fire and Falcons (rated E on AO3, mind the tags!), for which I also did this cover art, which you may recall:

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY LOOK AT THIS TATTOO I DREW
the major ---------------------- Throwback Thursday to a piece I did in 2006, fresh out of high school! This is fan art of Ghost in the Shell, which is one of my all-time favorites.
This right here.
I try my damndest to reply to as many comments on my visual art as I can because that art is my fulltime job.
That is not the case with fanfic authors; they owe their readers nothing. You got that reading experience for free, out of the kindness of the author's heart. If you leave a comment, that is fantastic, but that doesn't create any further obligation on the writer's part, imo.
It is nice when authors reply to our comments, but they don't owe us any interaction. I am personally thankful and overjoyed for every single wonderful comment I get on my visual art, as I'm sure all fanfic authors are for their literary art, but it takes a huge amount of time and mental energy to reply to comments.
I frequently (like, very, very frequently) hear my author friends talk about how stressed and guilty they feel for not keeping up with comment replies, and I think that's a shame. That's a hobby for them, not a job. The hobby should be fun, not a stressful obligation.
So would you rather have a reply to your comment or another chapter of your favorite fic? I know which I'd choose.
And maybe in 2025 fanfic authors will reply to comments more too and not ignore their readers🤗🤭
I try to respond to every comment I get. These days I rarely get one so it’s easier because I only get something posted like twice a year. Back in the day though it could get overwhelming. I do try.
The most adorable painting idea (as if I need another work in progress)
And yet...
Aziraphale talking Crowley to the cottage he bought and using his own wings to cover his eyes because is a surprise.
Crowley’s laughing ‘cause it tickles
