Summary: What it seemed to be a normal day turned out into something that was supposed to happen only in the movies. You just wanted a coffee, you didn’t ask to get involved with a secret agent who was escaping from the mafia.

Now he didn’t only have to save his life but yours too, and he was going to keep you safe whatever it takes.

If you told your mom you woke up at 9am this morning she would be laughing at you in the face because she wouldn’t believe it. For as long as you remember you’ve never been a morning person and you still aren’t, but you wanted a change in your life.

No matter how much you love staying inside the walls of your apartment and do nothing all day before collage starts, you knew that you needed to start doing something more productive than challenging yourself to see how fast you can finish watching all seasons of friends.

Still in bed you stretched your arms over your head before sitting up as fast as a lightning. If you stay lying down in bed for a few more seconds, you would be asleep already. No matter how much you'd love to continue sleeping, you promised yourself that you were going to at least try to change your daily routine for today.

Maybe you end up enjoying it and it becomes your new way to spend your days, or maybe today ends up being a disaster, who knows?

Unlike always, you decide to make your way to the kitchen and prepare some breakfast for yourself and your roommate.

Jimin has been your bestfriend, just like his mom and yours, for as long as you have memory, so you could say that both of you met when you didn't even know how to walk, because yes, your mothers got pregnant around the same time.

You’ve went to kindergarten together and since then you are inseparable, you always knew you would end up living together after finishing high school, you are glad to have such a good friend by your side, he is like the good and nice brother you never had.

You took all the time you needed to prepare some waffles because it was his favorite thing to eat in the morning, and once you were done you waited for him in the kitchen.

You knew he was going to be up soon since you always hear his alarm ringing at 10am, it was useless to wake him up five minutes earlier considering he would definitely kill you if you did, because just like he always says, every second counts when it comes to sleeping and you totally agree.

Five minutes later his alarm went off and you couldn’t help but laugh at the sound, it was an audio of Seokjin, a friend of both of you, basically screaming from pain because he had lost a bet and he had to shave his thing with wax, such a drama queen.

You didn’t know why would he like to start the day by listening to his friend yelling though.

It took him just seconds to meet you in the kitchen.

“Who are you and what did you do to my friend?” you narrowed your eyes pretending to be offended at him.

“Shouldn’t you say good morning to your bestfriend? you bastard. I guess I’ll eat your waffles then” you grabbed his plate and put it closer to you.

“Don’t dare you” he grabbed it and put it back where it was before you took it. “But seriously, what’s going on? Why are you awake so early? Do you feel well?” he got closer to you and touched your forehead to check your temperature, he was really something else.

“I’m fine Jimin, I just wanted to actually do something today” you said and took a bite of your breakfast.

“So what are you going to do then?” he sat in front of you and started to eat his waffles as well.

“I don’t know yet, I’ll see later. Maybe we can go do something together” you offered him.

“Sorry I can’t today” he said with his mouth full of food. You hated when he did that, but you eventually got used to it.

“Do you have plans for today?” you tried to raise an eyebrow but it didn’t work.

“I’m meeting someone” he talked so fast that you almost didn’t hear him.

“What?” you chocked on your food.

“I have a date” you didn’t see that coming but you were so happy for him.

“Finally. I understand now why you’ve been smiling at your phone like an idiot these past few days” you both finished eating and left the dirty dishes in the sink.

“I’ve not done that” you swear you could see him blushing. “Anyway I’m going to take a shower and then I’ll go out” he rushed to the bathroom.

He left before you had the chance to ask him more about his date, he knew you well.

You didn’t know what to do next, and now that you were going to be alone almost all day it was going to be hard not getting bored.

You went back to your bedroom and grabbed your computer. Two episodes of friend wouldn’t hurt anyone right?

It ended up being more than just two episodes but since it was still early you still had lot of free time for later.

It was around 2pm, but you weren’t really hungry at the moment, and you didn’t feel like cooking either, usually you’d cook for Jimin and yourself, but since he was gone for the day it wouldn’t be necessary to prepare something to eat.

Instead you would drink some coffee. Everyone who knows you knows your love for caffeine as well, it’s the only hot drink you like, and the fingers in your right hand wouldn’t be enough to count how many cups you could easily drink in one day.

Jimin is constantly warning you about how bad for your health can be if you keep drinking this crazy amount of caffeine, however even if you tried to be more moderate, it wouldn’t work, maybe you are actually addicted to caffeine.

You headed to the kitchen for the second time in the day. You got surprised when you noticed that you ran out of coffee. How could it be possible? You were sure that there were still some bags left yesterday.

Anyway, you saw the positive side of the situation and instead of going to buy more coffee bags, you were going to a new coffee shop which had opened just a few days ago close to the place you live.

You are not the kind of person who enjoys being around other people, so you were only going to buy your drink and then come straight back home.

Before changing your pajamas, you went to the balcony to check the weather. The sky was full covered with grey clouds, just how you like it.

You took a moment to see the view in front of you. You live in the highest floor of the building so you are able to see a big part of the city from up there.

Suddenly it started to drizzle. but you didn’t move a single foot to go back inside, you love feeling the cold water drops hitting your skin.

You stayed there for a while and you started feeling that something was going to happen today, and it wasn’t a good presentiment. Anyway you didn’t think too much about it and you made your way back inside.

You went to the bathroom and got rid of your wet clothes before getting a not so quick shower. You hated how much time you spent showering.

Once you were done washing up you put some comfy clothes on and went to the parking lot. At first you were going to walk to the shop, but since it started to rain heavier than earlier, and you didn’t find your umbrella, because Jimin probably took it with him, the best option was using the car.

It was 4pm when you arrived at the shop, you checked if it was open before going out of the car, but you couldn't see too much from that distance.

You got out of the car and made your way to the coffee shop, luckily it was open and It felt so cozy inside, it was also so well decorated, you don't know if people really cared about those things, but you were obsessed with interior design and couldn't help but pay attention to every little detail.

A guy welcomed you sweetly and took your order, he looked so kind and somehow mysterious. You've just met him, don't know anything about him, but you wanted him to be know more about him already. "Are you from around here?" you asked him as he prepared your drink.

"Uhm, I moved here a few weeks ago" he sounded nervous? you couldn't really tell. "What about you?"

"I've been living here for around two years now" he wasn't looking at you but he was paying attention.

"How did you find out about the shop?" he was almost done with the coffee.

"I was going to buy something the other day, and I was passing down the street when I noticed this new place"

He handed you the coffee. "I hope to see you around here more often then" he smiled shyly, he was trying so hard to not make eye contact with you.

"I'll definitely come here more often. Thanks for the coffee by the way" you slowly reached the exit but stopped and turned back to say a last thing to him. "Excuse me, what's your name?"

He didn't answer right away and by the way he looked at you, you could see on his face that your question made him a bit nervous. "Taehyung, my name is Taehyung"

"See you around Taehyung" you made your way out and you couldn't stop thinking about how shy that boy was, he definitely had a intimidating face but he didn't act like he wanted to intimidate people at all.

You opened the door of your car and got inside. It was still raining and the sound of the water hitting your car was so relaxing.

At first you were going to head straight back to your apartment, but you were so mesmerized watching the rain fall that you didn't have any intentions of driving anytime soon. However that wasn't your intention anymore when a man got inside your car out of nowhere, completely desperate, hands fully covered in blood, and he didn't stop yelling at you to start the car and drive. Your brain stopped working for a second, what were you supposed to do, you couldn't even say a word.

You started to hear gunshots soon after he entered the car and that's when your system started working again.

"DRIVE THE DAMN CAR!" he was panicking and so were you, but it wasn't the right time to lose control, you had no idea about what the hell was going on but you were going to drive the damn car.

You started the engine and went almost flying once you stepped on the gas.

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?" You were the one yelling at him now.

"Don't ask questions, just drive" he wasn't yelling anymore but his tone was a bit rough.

"A completely stranger got inside of MY car, covered in blood, and now that stranger is telling me I can't fucking ask him who the hell he is!" You were going insane.

Suddenly you started to hear gunshots again, what the fuck was going on?

"They are following us, go faster"

"NO SHIT SHERLOCK"

All of a sudden he took a gun out of his waistband and rolled the window down before pulling his arms and head out of it. You panicked when you heard him shooting back at them, he was out of his mind.

You still couldn't believe you were helping him escape from those men. What if he was some drug dealer or something like that? There was no way you wouldn't end up in jail after this.

You drove like your life depended of it, because it was literally what was going on, and you were surprised by the fact that you didn't run over someone yet or crashed the car into something.

You were fully concentrated on driving that you didn't notice when the gunshots stopped after minutes of driving that felt like hours.

"I think we lost them" he was sitting straight in the seat again.

"Can you please tell me what is going on now?" You slowed down the speed just a little.

"Stop the car" great, he just ignored you.

"You first ask me to drive like crazy when I could have kill someone and now you are telling me to stop the car?" What was wrong with him?

"Yes, now stop the car" you were so mad at him that you didn't think twice when you harshly hit the break of the car, causing him to hit his head pretty hard with the front glass.

You really wanted to enjoy what just happened, but by the expression of his face, that hit was really painful and now you felt guilty, it wasn't really your intention to hurt him.

"Go to the back sit, I'll drive from here" that was the only thing he said to you. He didn't seem angry though, he was just wearing a poker face so you couldn't really tell how was he feeling.

"You are not going to kidnap me, are you?" Yeah, it was a stupid question, but you were nervous and you tend to say stupid things while nervous.

"If I'd want to kidnap you, I'd have already done it" well, he had a good point right there.

You did as he said and went to the back sit, you didn't feel really comfortable being in the front with him and he didn't seem comfortable with you at the front seat as well, so staying at the back would be the best for you.

"Where are we going? At least I think I deserve to know where are you taking us, right?" You had so many questions but he didn't seem to care.

"Somewhere safe" nice, a man of few words.

You gave up, he clearly didn't want to talk to you so you kept your mouth shut until you reached your destination.

It had been a long drive, the sun was almost gone now that in winter days were shorter, and you didn't know where the hell were you.

He got out of the car and opened the door for you. Maybe he wasn't such an asshole after all.

"Come with me" he guided you to the entrance of a huge house, you really wanted to know where he took you.

You both made your way to the front door of the house, he opened the door which wasn't locked, and grabbed your arm to pull you gently inside.

"Jungkook hey! I didn't expect to see you around here so soon" so Jungkook was his name..

The man who welcomed him had a glass of whiskey in one hand, he was dressed formally and his hair was black, you felt like you could trust him but you didn't know why.

"I need to stay here just for the night. It didn't go as planned" you hated when people talked like that because they clearly knew what was going on and you wanted to know as well.

"Stay here for as long as you need" he looked at you for the first time. "Who are you?" He asked nicely.

"She works with me" was he serious? First of all he was lying, and second of all, now you weren't allowed to speak for yourself? No matter how much you wanted to deny that, you decided to kept things like that, maybe he had a reason to say that.

"Well, I have to go now, I'll be back in a week so I don't think we'll see each other any time soon. Good luck with the mission" mission? What mission? Were you playing to be spies now?

He quickly left the house leaving you both alone. Ok, that was weird.

"So we work together now?" He started walking somewhere and you just followed him from behind.

"Something like that" why was it so hard to have a simple conversation with him?

"Can you just be more specific? I'm starting to lose my mind" you noticed he was going to what it seemed like a basement, your usual self wouldn't follow a stranger to a basement, that didn't turn out well in movies, but your usual self was no where to be seen at the moment, so there you were following him to the damn basement.

You were so confused when he opened the door. It didn't look like the typical basement of a house, the room looked like a really tiny hospital room.

Oh shit.

Now you remember, he was covered in blood when you first saw him.

"Are you hurt?" He didn't answer, he just took his shirt off and showed you a wound in his abdomen.

"Did they do that to you?" He nodded.

You can tell how hard it was for him to talk now, and you could see how painful it was for him to even breath. Maybe that was the reason he wasn't talking to you, you feel bad for him now.

"Let me help you" you started looking for something that could help you disinfect his wound, and something to covered it up, luckily you found what you needed really fast.

"It's okay, I can do it by myself" you could see he didn't even dare to look at you, why was that?

"Hey, look at me" he took a big breath and looked at you. He had tears in his eyes, there was no way he was crying only because of his injury, you could tell, and you wanted to know what was happening, but for the first time you didn't ask anything. "Let me help you, ok?" He just nodded again and sat on a table.

You slowly started to clean the dry blood around his skin and then you moved to clean the cut in his abdomen, you tried to be as gentle as you could. You stopped and looked at him to see if he was doing fine, he was staring at the ceiling as he bite his bottom lip, he was clearly in pain but you had to continue cleaning him and so you did. Once you were done disinfecting, you put a bandage to prevent any infection.

"Thank you" yeah, he wasn't an asshole after all.

"No problem" you said as you threw the gauze in a trash can.

"I'm sorry" he said when you were about to go upstairs again.

"Why?" You genuinely asked.

"I got you into this mess, you shouldn't be here" he looked really worried.

"Can't I just go back to my place then?" If he was sorry he wouldn't mind if you just went back right?

"I'm sorry, but there's no turning back now"

It was going to be a long night.

From across the room, you watched your friend make out with her boyfriend. Two meters away, someone had just thrown up onto the floor. But they didn’t even look once. It must be great to be too in love to notice something this gross. But they would realize the second the smell spread, you joked in your head.

Knowing they were too focused on each other to hang out with you, you decided to go out into the front yard. Jack o’ lantern shaped lights hung in the trees and a big fake mummy was the centerpiece of the yard. There were less people outside, but more were escaping the chaos from inside with every second. You looked around, and counted at least five Jokers, one in every direction you turned. To be fair, you couldn’t judge people for being unoriginal, when you had chosen to dress as a vampire. But at least the vampire look was a classic.

“I like your costume,” someone spoke into your ear at that moment. Surprised, you turned to find a young man standing behind you. He had fake blood running down his chin and had clearly invested in the same red contact lenses as you had. And he was handsome – so handsome, you almost forgot to reply to his words.
