It worked! A slight widened surprise captured her expression for a few fleeting moments. A rather childish complaint landed its mark; Alfred never expected Eduard to take the request seriously. Pleased as punch, Alfred grinned in genuine delight.

“You mix sweets and a game?” Curious, he’s quite curious now. “Chocolate and candies -- I haven’t played any game like that -- unless it’s poker without losing your savings. What is it??”

The growing list of needs the elder man came with pulled Alfred into giving up ground; unneeded and Alfred promised to have Ivan cough it back up when the time called for Alfreds turn to be needy. “We can get a drink after. Like, how long do you think well be out? I’m not here to torture you.”

Inspiration for muse: The Cold War is big one, American isolation, the history of Turtle Island and his big changes from this time; becoming forceful and disconnected but keeping that natural gift at doing business and intelligence, C.anada and A.merica relations in general ( How C.anadians and A.mericans see each other, the HEAVY influence the two have on each other, etc ). These are what get my muse going!
