Months go by and still nobody has given you an explanation for the higher-than-average number of customers seemingly dressed for the cabaret. Itâs almost becoming a hobby in itself for you, watching the comings and goings of the five masked men.
@purrlockswatson is to blame for this
@blackforrestpunk youâre not blameless either
*Slams this lil dude down on the table* Phandom, dinner time!
I found out that the Chinese Phandom calls the Phantom 鄿Ą¶, "Rice Bucket," because it sounds like "phantom" (fĂ ntÇng... meh, close enough).
That isn't the best bit.
If someone is a rice bucket, it means they're good for nothing but holding rice inside them (i.e., eating). So it means "useless person."
Now, isn't that perfect for someone who cools his heels in a dank cellar and blackmails his way to massive wages?
More POTO nonsense here!
Monsieur. MONSIEUR. As someone doomed by the narrative, you have no right to be that precious. A lot of people will get hurt.
Vlad, how dare you put me through this. Je ne vais pas bien, pas du tout !
I talked about this adaptation here.
More Phantom: Cowboy (Cowcat?) Phantom, the Persian, Erik and his stuff.
Everything about this drawing makes me happy, but the detail that makes my Undead heart sing is the yellow-covered copy of Dracula. It's the 1897 edition, designed to evoke the appearance of the 'yellowback' - the cheap sensational fiction sold at railway stations at the time. Dr Watson was mentioned reading one in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. (Above is the miniature version I made for my haunted dollhouse.)
Cover me in sunshine...Shower me with good times
Tell me that the world's been spinning since the beginning....And everything will be alright
What can I say, my little nosferatu loves yellow. Get some sleep, Aurik.
watercolour and gouache with coloured pencil detailing, a little white ink for highlights.

*Catatonic in the floor because I'm on art break and can't make more of these*
That scene when Lestat talked from inside his coffin is inexplicably hilarious to me. â°ïž
I seem to be unable to stop myself from hitting vampires in the face in these drawings. I swear it's not a thing. See Armeownd get hit in the face by a laptop here! Also Rockstar Lestat meets Taylor Swift here!
(The number of silly comics I've made about Interview with the Vampire has become slightly concerning to me. I'm doing it to stave off the misery -- I'm yet to recover from season 2, episode 1.)
Bonus:
All of the above is in accordance (in a manner of speaking) by the original text. VoilĂ .
More Phantom of the Opera Cats here and here!
Germs got me. The whole inside of my head, throat and chest feels inflamed. Like a vampurr who snorted garlic powder or something - I've lost my singular braincell, can't really be poetic.
Oh well, guilt-free bedrot and "Salem's Lot" audiobook. I'm not a fan of Stephen King, but vampire fiction is vampire fiction.
I'm not going to be up to much these days. I do have some weird drafts stored up, and if my brain comtinues to be so swollen, I might just post them.
For someone who claims to be a vampire, I react very badly to getting my blood sample taken. Once, I looked so horrified that the nurse was afraid I'd faint and gave me a juice box.
So when I was editing this story just now, I was squirming in my seat. (This is not the worst scene. The other one is a spoiler, so wait a few weeks - if you actually want to suffer through it, that is, and if I actually stick to my plan). That probably means I've done my job well, but WHY did I do this to myself?
Feel free to tell me what you think, I'm not holding a sword. Or a needle.
Thank you @windforkthewriter for sending a đ in my asks for an excerpt!
When I say I was bouncing off the walls and crawling around the ceiling when I got the comm, I mean it! I'm so happy my love for it translated! And Happy Nosferatu is going to be my new seasonal greeting now
I swear I have never been this excited about an advent calendar and just in case it wasn't clear I am a grown adult but I am bouncing around like a child.
@purrlockswatson made such a beautiful advent calendar already and then this. THIS.
Aurik has a yellow hoodie. His favourite colour. He's going to the movies. One of his favourite things. He's meeting for the first time a vampire who looks a bit more like him (Count Orlok) and that vampire is a movie star and they're watching his new movie and they got the big novelty coffin popcorn bucket and they got to bring the pet rats and and and....
It's so lovely. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and Happy Nosferatu to everyone in general.
Original posts: Nosferatu here and Lescat here.
Thank all of you who pressed the little funny buttons!
