Uhhh the turning, or something, listen i just think Daniel has bitten Armand back when he was trying to murder him đ
Interview with the vampire sketches đˇ
the real reason book!armand didn't take daniel with him when he was feeding is that daniel would've become soo jealous if he saw armand do that whole easeful death thing with some other guy
Do yall think Louis shames Armand for being an iPad baby? Armand reading a book on his iPad and Louis will be like âI like to hold a real book. I love the smell of old books and flipping the pages with my fingersâ. But truth is he never learned. He needs Armand or Rashid to google things for him and remember his passwords
I need to see Louis hold a phone or iPad next season to prove me wrong
the tragedy of armand in dubai is the fact that he genuinely likes daniel. yes, there is a threat there, and he hates how good at digging daniel is (as every liar despises the truth), but despite it all, for some unknown to us reason, he has an outstanding amount of sympathy for a boy he tried to once kill. thatâs why at the end he is getting outsmarted and beaten. itâs because once his emotions stepped in, he wasnât as guarded anymore (should i quote, unaware of the plotting around him because he was in love?).
armand tortured daniel back in sf, thinking him unimportant. it was louis who saved him. and yet in dubai there is a weird shift of the dynamics. in dubai itâs louis who messes with danielâ parkinsonâs and armand is the one to stop him. someone who likes to chase his mortal victims and gets the thrill out of them begging, suddenly decided that this mortal didnât deserve that kind of a treatment. itâs louis raiding danielâs memories and armand trying to clear the air, thinking it have gone too far. itâs armand apologising to daniel after louis raided his mind, explaining to him that he was invited there as a guest, trying to maintain a hospitable atmosphere in the house. itâs armand taking care of his levodopa transfusion and itâs armand getting weirdly intense about the last dinner and dropping that mysterious sentence âi do hope youâll join usâ, as if he actually cared.
what conclusions might be there apart from the obvious? in san francisco he wouldnât have cared if daniel died, thatâs how inconsequential he was to him, and for some reason fifty years later armand is weirdly protective of him. he still stays in the shadows, and only shows his concern once there is a crisis on the horizon. armand likes him, and for someone who never wanted the interview to happen he is weirdly drawn to their conversations and wants to actually tell him things about himself. something once again he would have never done in san francisco. if thatâs all not a proof that the dm happened in between those decades, then i donât know what is.
Hot take, while I do think aging Daniel up was a good choice in that it opened up new avenues of exploration (and a potential DM amnesia plot!!!) I donât think it actually was necessary to fix DM because maturity differences werenât the real core of DMâs relationship problems.
Their flaws are still the sameâold Daniel is still blunt and somewhat insensitive, stubborn and reckless and Armand is still controlling, condescending, melodramatic and above it all. These flaws were causing some tension but they werenât insurmountable.
Old Daniel and B!Daniel also arenât that differentâDaniel at 20-24 is constantly scared Armand will kill him and still pushes back against him verbally with sarcasm and bite and expresses any and all frustration every chance he gets (itâs part of why he remains entertaining) just like 69 yr old Daniel.
This is only compounded once book Daniel realizes heâs not at risk of dying and has Armand just as wrapped around his finger as vice versa. Show Daniel is just a little more wrapped up in cynicism and hides his softer parts compared to B!Daniel who balances it out better imo, heâs not necessarily more mature.
They love each otherâs âflawsâ they acknowledge each others negative traits but mostly enjoy them. The actual core to their countless fights was the age old human wants to be vampire/vampire sees it as a curse dilemma. (Yes DM ran so Twilight could tip toe softly lol).
I think B!Daniel was absolutely 100% fair in feeling like Armand was treating him like a pet dog and would move on and not mourn that long if he died (even if this absolutely wasnât trueâwe know this) and Armand wasnât helping by belittling him when he did return home and not actually communicating that he did care that well.
However, thatâs already been solved in the showâthe second major problem (and break up causer) is an extension of the the initial oneâArmand feels too unnecessarily guilty about the turning (and thinks Daniel hates him) and leavesâDaniel feels abandoned (and thinks Armand preferred him mortal).
I think a maturity difference issue would be more reasonable and less silly than their actual relationship problem which is weirdly banal given how weird they are everywhere else but nothingâs perfect.
I keep thinking about loustat and photos of drag queens and their normal ass boyfriends

most underrated hosea quote is âi enjoy picking on childrenâ in reference to arthur because thatâs his kiddo!!! thatâs his child!!! no matter how big and old and scary looking arthur gets heâll always be hoseaâs kid!!!
list of possible good reasons armand isn't in the s3 promo:
they're committing really hard to his vanishing act
under-qualified intern doing the promo posters asked chat gpt to summarize the show instead of watching it and chat gpt didn't bring him up
armand is a fiction we have all collectively dreamed up on tumblr dot com, unrelated to any real world character or concept
armand is a real person who sued amc and now they're having to respect his privacy
they're replacing him with a different, more evil vampire that has bigger bug eyes and a sadder backstory
lestat would be jealous
they've realized that armand's character arc has reached a perfect conclusion when he got dumped and thrown through that wall, so there's really nowhere else to go with the character
the ghost of anne rice bought his copyright back
they wrote a whole storyline in which armand becomes a pop diva and then belatedly realized they're doing the exact same thing with lestat. after this they wrote a second storyline for armand in which his memoir getting published led all the vampires in the world to try to fight him, but that was kinda redundant because louis was already doing that. they're hurriedly trying to come up with a new storyline for armand and i'm hearing it's going to involve him interviewing vampires
this is all a clever misdirection. armand is actually the only character in season 3
everything reminds me of him (middle aged daniel molloy who gets lost in his work, ignoring his wives and daughters, but can't find anything to fill the void of loneliness generated by something he doesn't even remember)
He/him tired girl đ Obsessed with IWTV (especially when it comes to Devil's Minion) đ English isn't my first language
