TS3 UL Uniforms converted to CU (+ some other BG items)

Needed uniforms for my -sim- kids (& wanted some game-friendly items) so I decided to make some age conversions. Probably EA didn’t want to give us ideas about open schools when they released UL without versions of these items for children  😌

* if you’re playing with open schools or just want all the kiddos in the neiborghood to wear these uniforms, take a look at the end of this post for links to instructions on how to achieve that.

Game On! Collection 🎮

The Sims 4: High School Years added a bunch of cool items for gamer/streamer sims and I’ve converted some of them for our sims to use in The Sims 3! I also converted the video game consoles from The Sims 4: City Living and the simmi figurines from The Sims 4: Snowy Escape so I have some more silly little guys to put on my nerdy sims’ shelves :p

Note: There are two versions of the wireless speaker, one that glows and another that doesn’t. They both work as stereos. There are also two versions of both computers, one version each with the streaming equipment and the other without it.

The flag on the wall and the rug are previous conversions of mine here, the freezer bunny figurine is by simbeings here, the headphones, camera, and seashell plate are by bioniczombie here and here, the MySims dolls are by Around The Sims 3 here, and the voidcritter cards are by kandiraver-sims here.

Compact Pact Alchemy Station (§400) Requires Supernatural EP. Functions exactly the same as its large counterpart with a smaller footprint. 3 presets, 2 of which are stencils. Place it then use “moveobjects on” to put a surface of your choice under it.

Oracle’s Orb Crystal Ball (§260) Requires Soothsayer’s Crystal Ball. Same presets. Place it, snap two chairs to it, then use “moveobjects on” to position it over a surface.

Similarly to the canning station, this is an imperfect item. There is no custom thumbnail. There are pattern tiling issues along where I performed surgery on the mesh. The deco slots are not very useful but I’m afraid to touch them and break the object again. Like its tall parent, it does not seem to match counters exactly but I tried to alleviate the problem as much as I could. None of these issues impair function or gameplay.

This is also one of my top 10 Sims 2 objects. I never really cheated much, but I always had "unlockcareerrewards" ready because I was living for this pond.

I removed the grass from the corners and made the entire pond a bit bigger than the original. There are no fishies in this one, but you can add some using the fog emitter (the normal kois are way too huge tho, but all fishbowl effects work!).

Shoutout & and a huge thank you to the legend @gruesim who not only taught me how to convert via @sims3tutorialhub but also helped me with this object specifically <3

[TS3] Base Game Butterfly Default Replacement

I was actually looking for a fish file (that damned bat starfish in a bowl) when I came across the base game files for butterflies and noticed they are actually kind of simple.  Simple enough to do in a few hours, even.

This changes the appearance of:

Moth (it has feely antennae!!)

Monarch Butterfly

Zephyr Metalmark Butterfly

Red Admiral Butterfly

Mission Blue Butterfly

Green Swallowtail Butterfly

Royal Purple Butterfly

Silver-spotted Skipper Butterfly

Zebra Butterfly

Rainbow Butterfly (somewhat less ridiculous-looking!)

It doesn’t alter the butterfly meshes or flight patterns, it just makes them look less grainy and garbage-y.

No DLCs are required, just base game.  Plop this in your Overrides folder and make sure you’ve cleaned your caches.

Rockwood Island - BETA

When life gets too loud in Rosewood, Rockwood is place to go! Only a few miles off the coast, this tiny Park addon sprouted a cozy community of individuals who like to live life a little slower. Built up by a few members of Rosewood, Rockwood mimics its big sister, just in a bite sized way!

This world is an EDIT of Hylewood by the amazing @nilxis, credit for terrain and plant placement goes to them!

WORLD DETAILS:

Tiny Map

around 20 tiny houses, most do have at least 2 bedrooms!

Town hall, festival ground, cafe, bar, playground, community pool, park, basketball field, school, football field, grocery store, beach community lots included.

Fully built up but no interiors to houses.

BG Compatible: EP CC is included if you are missing an EP but some objects may still be replaced by statues (very few). 

CC is included but its quite a bit!

This world has its own lighting mod, so please remove any lighting mod you use or download the lighting mod if you want it for other worlds, its a realistic one!

KNOWN ISSUES:

The cafe has a glitch where sims like to use the water taxi to exit it, a library file of a fixed Cafe has been included, please replace the lot in game!

This is a BETA so there will still be some routing issues!

Issues with basketball and football field where the yellow boulders may need to be deleted as sometimes they prevents sims exiting the lot!

The industrial Strength Doors by Cyclonesue and the Scania doors may mess up. You will just need to replace them for your sims to access the lot.

As this world is a Beta and I made it mainly for me, so if you have issues please tell me but I am not planning on fixing small things unless they really mess up. I am not really active anymore and this is just being uploaded because people asked :)

Fake Religion add-on.

This override mod will replace the pie menu on Artistic Sims so that the symbol shows the church instead of a paintbrush for the “Go to the Church” option when you click on the sim. 

This will not replace the colour of the HUD from blue to beige - that’s a different mod I’m using.

So. Hey all! I’m excited to share the prototype of a full UI redesign for The Sims 3. It’s a modern dark UI with a slight green accent. This is what I’ve been doing for the past couple of days.

I decided, “oh, it would be kinda cool to have something like Starship UI for The Sims 3″ and welp. A bunch of iced coffee and Oreos led to this. Yay me.

This is just a sneak peek at a new project, and this isn’t like a huge reveal post, just what I’m working on right now. I don’t really expect for this to get as much interest as Starship UI as this is a primarily TS2 blog, but I still wanted to show it off!

As per all my UI projects, current alpha is available on Patreon, but final release will be free.. once I finish it, hah.

Tree Default Replacement 🌳

I have something a little bit different for you all today! As much as I love the gardening skill in the The Sims 3, I’ve always disliked how round the fruit trees are. In my opinion, the fruit trees (a.k.a. ambrosial trees) from The Sims 2: Seasons look much more realistic, so I converted the mesh and made a default replacement to bring them into the Sims 3! This project would not have been possible without Lyralei’s Default Replacement Tutorial. 

There aren’t any growth states between planted and mature, but there are proper textures for Fall, Winter, Wilted, Dead, and the Money Tree. The mesh itself has 1794 Vertices and 1903 Faces.

Place this package file in your Mods -> Overrides folder.

Flower Arranging - Omedapixel's wildflowers arrangement override

I have not forgotten this mod! Sorry it's taken so long, but I've finally got round to making an override package for the wildflower arrangements to use @omedapixel's lovely wildflower DR textures.

So if you have her default replacements and were bugged by the fact that the arrangements you make with them don't match, this one's for you!

You don't need Omedapixel's default replacement to have this override, but it would make the most sense to have the arrangement's flowers match the flowers you make the arrangement with...right?

Just to make it clear: this package only affects the flower arrangements that are made with my flower arranging mod. It makes the 3 wildflower arrangements match Omedapixel's wildflower DR.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, maybe you need to read about my flower arranging mod here! Hehehe

In case I haven't said "override" enough, you put this package file in Overrides.

Also, I made a SFS folder for flower arranging mod related addons which you can find here.

I will put any smaller overrides/addons to this folder, but larger content updates will likely be posted to MTS. I do have exciting things planned :)

The Sweeping Mod

This is a tiny mod I wanted to create for my neat and perfectionist sims, because who doesn’t love cleaning?

Just like with all my mods you can find this in my tumblr's download page.

Before we go any further lets say a big thanks for the super talented @mspoodle1 <3 who not only created and converted the brooms, brush, pale and sponge, but also fixed the TSM -animations so they work better in TS3.

To get started buy a broom or a water pale from Bathrooms → Laundry costing 35§

Put either or both into your sim’s inventory.

Click on the broom or pale and your sims will start cleaning :)

Please note, that no actual cleaning is done using this mod. It’s just a fun activity for your neat sims.

For the broom you can be anywhere in the world. For the scrubbing of floors you need to be inside.

Cleaning is autonomous. I used the clean bathtub ITUN for these interactions so they are advertised for neat and perfectionist sims but not slobs. Sim’s should also be more inclined to do this before a party. You can easily edit the ITUN for your own use.

Other sims who are neither neat or perfectionist might/could do these, but none of my test sims actually did this autonomously if they didn’t have the neat or perfectionist traits. If you want other sims to do this just increase the advertised fun -factor in the ITUN files.

Installing

The mod comes with four different brooms and two different types of scrubbing brush/sponge. But you can only have one of them in the game at any given time. So only add one broom set (broom + prop) and either the sponge or scrubbing brush in your game.

Just like with any mod, backup before you use them.

Finally the bane of my cc existence Hot Spring Hot tub is here! I tried my best in my abilities to make this not a nightmare to use.

A few months ago, an Anon asked if I could convert it. Thinking it wouldn’t be so hard, I did it but it didn’t go exactly how I wanted.

KNOWN ISSUES (IMPORTANT!!!):

Sims will clip getting in/out of the hot tub. There is nothing I can really do to prevent it.

The shadow where the hot tub basin will can be seen. I tried to hide it but it still shows up. The basin itself is invisible so you don’t have to use moveobjects all the time to get rid of it.

The hot tub has no effects due to not being able to edit out effects I didn’t want so its just the plain water and sound. Below the cut, I have instructions on how to use fog emitters to give off steam effects around the object.

Despite it’s size, it can only fit 6 sims.

I'm finally done converting the beds (minus one single and one loft bed) from the Dream Home Decorator pack! This took me a while but it was definitely worth it!

Everything is CAStable. Some mattresses and frames have overlays, but all objects have at least one recolorable swatch.

There are two double beds, four single beds and three loft beds.

To create bunkbeds, you'll have to snap the corresponding single bed frame to the loft bed frame. The Sims 4 doesn't have "true" bunkbeds, so I figured it was easier that way!

Then surprise them with this set of primitive nature-friendly interactions and never have to go through the trouble of building something unnecessary like a “house” ever again!

About this mod

This is a pure scripting mod that adds a set of new interactions to your game, most of which are designed to let your sims fulfill their needs without having to rely on build/buy objects. Your sims will be able to:

Relax and daydream on the ground

Sleep on the floor and have dedicated “sleeping spots”

Pee on the floor outside

Have “sponge baths” in the ocean

Bathe in swimming pools

(See below for more detailed descriptions of the different interactions.)

This mod also comes with some custom moodlets because I really enjoy making those.

The whole thing started as sort of a side project for me but then I just kept adding stuff to it until I decided to upload and share it here.

How to install Simply put the spherefish_OneWithNature.package file into your mods/packages folder. The Tuning file is optional, you can use the XML inside it to adjust the mod to your liking. As with any new mod, I strongly suggest that you back up your current neighborhood before putting it in your game just to be save. New interactions

Relax and Daydream Your sims will be able to relax on the ground in order to sleep or daydream (or just chill for a bit.) Daydreaming for a while will give them a positive “Dreamy” moodlet. If the weather is nice enough, they might daydream autonomously while being outside. I used part of the “watch the stars” animation from Generations for this interaction but if you don’t have the EP, the mod automatically detects it and just uses the default “sit on the ground” animation instead.

Sleep Here This interaction lets your sims sleep anywhere on the ground, regardless of how tired they are. They will wake up if they are sleeping outside and the temperature drops below 0°C / 32°F or if it starts raining. Depending on their traits, they might get a positive or negative moodlet after sleeping outside. You can also assign dedicated sleeping spots to your sims, so that they will try to go sleep there autonomously. You can only assign sleeping spots on your sim’s home lot (though you can change that via tuning). By default, assigning a sleeping spot disables the lot sleeping filter for that sim (meaning they might sleep on the ground even if there are beds on the lot–see the “Autonomy” section below for more info). Note that the mod automatically cleans up sleeping spots for non-active (NPC) sims when you load up your game.

Pee Here This is a simple interaction that allows your sims to pee on the ground outside. I used the chamber pot animations from TSM for this because I liked the way they looked for female sims. Sims might also go outside and pee autonomously if there is no toilet on the lot. Be careful not too pee right next to other sims unless you want to make them angry!

Bathe in Nature There are two different bathing interactions that come with this mod. Your sims can take sponge baths in the ocean or bathe in swimming pools. I added the pool interaction as sort of a compromise because I couldn’t figure out how to make sims route into ponds, so at least they can bathe in “pond-like” pools now (plus it also works for Roman baths etc). Sims can perform the bathing interactions autonomously, though they will only do it if there are no Hygiene-filling objects (bathtubs, showers, etc) on the lot. When going to bathe in the ocean autonomously, they should automatically route back to wherever they came from afterwards.

Autonomy The majority of the interactions can be performed autonomously, though sims will only do it if your lot does not have any object to replace the nature interaction. (Eg sims will only try to pee outside if the current lot doesn’t have a working toilet.) You can adjust Autonomy via tuning and even turn it off completely if it doesn’t fit with your playstyle. The following objects prevent autonomous nature interactions: Sleeping objects Beds, tents, couches, lounge chairs, rocking chairs, igloos, altars (for vampires only), fairy houses (for fairies only) Hygiene objects Showers, bathtubs, all-in-one bathrooms, pools. By default, sinks do NOT prevent autonomy, though this can be enabled via tuning. Bladder objects Toilets, all-in-one bathrooms

Tuning The Tuning XML can be found in spherefish_OneWithNature_Tuning.package

Possible issues

The animation transition between relaxing and daydreaming looks a bit weird

The sponge bath animation has some clipping issues for child sims

The “Pee here” interaction icon looks kinda dumb

Sometimes sims have routing issues when using the “bathe in ocean” interaction which cause them to either swim to the right spot instead of wading or stand and bathe on the water

There is a weird glitch that sometimes pops up when using the “bathe in pool” interaction that prevents the Hygiene motive from going up. If it happens to you, just try to repeat the interaction.

Compatibility

This is a pure scripting mod, so hopefully it should not cause any major conflicts. If you notice any bugs or script errors, please let me know!

This mod was built and tested with patch version 1.67.

Alright guys, so I just wrapped up one of the rock sets I've been working on, popped into SFS, and literally almost choked on my coffee. My last set was Dec of LAST YEAR?!

I honestly don't know how that much time passed, but I'm sorry and let me just say I missed you guys!

I went ahead and started really working on the smaller rocks I have, since the last few times I've put rocks out they've been giant terrain pieces. So, these (spot the two light grey rocks up front) are about the size of EA's landscaping rocks and will go nicely on lots and such. More for around the house type decorating.
