i’m still fuming actually because if mclaren thought about their strategy, they’d realise that lando did the right thing. lando created a hell of a gap, got those two papaya cars right at the front and away from max and lewis. and then gave the position back. that saved the race for both of them.

oscar admitted himself he didn’t have the pace that lando did. if lando had given the position back as early as they told him to, they’d have both had to slow down for the last 20 laps and would have put themselves in a vulnerable position. max was driving like a maniac lmao and lewis was going steady. they probably would have caught them - or at least tried to, and mclaren would have lost time defending.

once again mclaren pitwall has made me want to pull my hair out.

don’t even get me started on the guilt tripping and the gaslighting over that team radio…

you wouldn’t HAVE to tell him to give the position back if you got the strategy right in the first place!! wake up!! you’ve thrown away like 4 race wins this season!! I don’t blame lando for giving them a scare - good for him actually. maybe the only way they’ll make a change is if they get made to feel a little uncomfortable.

a mclaren 1-2, which should feel ecstatic, instead feels… kind of sad? a bit infuriating? which should tell mclaren everything in itself.

IN WHICH reading before bed isn’t always the best ideal

Warnings: lots of fluff. Not proofread

You’ve always had a routine before bed, take a shower, do your facial routine, fix your side of the bed and read a book, because For as long as you could remember you’ve loved to read, you always made your mom or dad read you a bedtime story before you went to bed as a kid, and well, you kinda stuck to that routine, one chapter or two, maybe even six, before you went to bed because it sorta helped you fall asleep better and you liked that.

However sharing a bed with someone who was a light sleeper wasn’t something you quite enjoyed, especially when you got too deep into the book you were reading and couldn’t control the gasps and mutters that left your mouth as you read about what happened in the chapter you were reading.

mick walked into the room, towel in hand as he dried his freshly showered hair. He threw the towel on the chair that sat in the corner of the room. He let out a sigh as he looked at where you laid at, a book already in hand as you set up a pillow to balance the book on.

“Uh-uh, no more reading before bed. You keep waking me up with your dramatic gasp every time you turn a page” mick Said walking over to your side of the bed, holding out his hand for you to give him the book.

You playfully rolled your eyes pushing his hand away, “well, I’m sorry that I engage and connect deeply with literature!” You huffed, opening up your book to read. Ignoring how he still stood by your side, hands now on his sides like a mother. “You can stand there all you want, not giving up my book”

He dramatically dropped his hands, now walking over to his side of the bed. “I’m just saying maybe you shouldn’t always read a book before bed love” mick said as he took off the stacks of pillows you had on the bed, throwing them onto the floor

You shook your head at him“You know it helps me sleep better mick” you said already getting lost in the book.

Mick sighed getting underneath the covers as well, “better be an interesting book, because hearing ‘oh my god she didn’t’, isn’t the most wonderful thing to try to sleep to” he gave you quick kiss to the temple before turning over to sleep.

And, so, mick was once again right. Every so often a gasp or a ‘what the hell’ flew from your mouth before you could even think about the sleeping person beside you, that is till mick groaned leaning over to turn on the light beside him.

“Okay, that’s the 100th gasp that has left your mouth’ he turned over to face you, “love put the book down, please” he again, held out his hand to take the book from you.

“Sorry mick, but can’t do” you pushed his hand away, ignoring his groans and moans. “It just got even more interesting!” You explained.

“Okay fine” he scooted closer to you laying his head on your chest, you looked down at him confused, “mick what-“ he cut you off

“Not gonna let me sleep peacefully, well then read me, your oh-so interesting book” you chuckled at him, fingertips flipping the page.

“Fine!, you’re gonna be gasping soon, mick”

He pitched your side, “just read to me women!”
