When I picked this up at the library, I had no idea how much Macdonald talks about T.H. White - the last book I read was The Once and Future King! Synchronicity to the max. In the week that I spent with it, H is For Hawk taught me about falconry, T.H. White, bearing grief, and the importance of having mercy on yourself.
The theme of my day is crows - Earlier I stumbled upon an article about a little girl who receives "gifts" from crows everyday (left the link to the podcast about the girl) - took a ride with a friend and he put in "The Crow" soundtrack - and now this post... And these are the gifts that crows would leave that little girl in exchange for her leaving them food.

The dilemma - my goal is to read all the books on my bookshelf that I haven’t read - approximately 27 and I'm 6 books in. I've been really good about not adding to that but couldn't help myself and adopted these two today at work. Approx 29 for the year...
