angsty plasmashipping scene: short & sweet?
Kai eyes trailed over Jay’s motionless body. His heart beating wildly in his chest. No, no, no he couldn’t be. He just couldn’t be-
“J-Jay…” he croaked, his voice barely above a whisper, “Jay we won…it’s okay now…”
Jay remained completely limp at his feet. Slowly Kai kneeled down, his hands trembling as he pressed down onto the blue ninja’s small figure. His mind racing with a million thoughts, but it all came back to one. He couldn’t be dead, he just couldn’t!
Kai retracted his hands away from Jay’s body when he felt something warm. He stared in horror as he saw what the warm liquid was oozing from Jay’s body.
Blood.
He went dizzy, a sick feeling rising in his gut.
“Jay please wake up” Kai sobbed, “wake up, wake up, WAKE UP!”
But it remained quiet. And Jay still never moved. Kai cradled his body in his arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
“Come back too me please!” A cold shiver passed through Kai’s body, “I- I love you…” He choked out.
Moments passed. Maybe minuets. Kai couldn’t tell anymore. He held Jay’s body close to him, his sobs getting quieter by the second.
Kai shuddered when he felt something touch him but he didn’t react. It was almost like someone was returning the embrace. But-
Kai looked up with tear stained eyes to see Jay staring back at him, a pained expression on his face but a warm look in his eyes. Kai let out a shaky breath as he gazed at him lovingly.
“J-Jay?” He whispered, voice broken from crying.
Jay just simply gazed at him before a smile lit up his features.
“I love you too hothead”

Jeez Kai check a pulse next time! Gotcha didn’t I? Sorry but I couldn’t just let Jay die and Kai suffer like that. Let the two boys be gay and live already!

Kai had a bit of a problem.
He was hungry.
And Jay was asleep, right on top of him.
Which was not fun, not in the slightest.
He shrugged to himself, attempting to curl up around the other boy. He could ignore his hunger just a little bit, maybe fall back asleep.

Jay hummed, finally waking up. From bleary eyes, he could see that Kai was fast asleep underneath him. He glanced toward the room’s clock- 9 AM. He could sleep a little longer, yeah.
Kai was asleep so why would Jay have to stay awake? He laid his head down on Kai’s chest, letting out a breath.
“You awake?” Someone mumbled, and it took hin a moment to realize it was Kai.
“Mmmmh, no.”
“Can I get up, then?” Kai asked, moving his hand up so he could run through Jay’s hair.
“No,” Jay mumbled, “Warm.”
“Please?”
“No.”
Kai grunted, pushing Jay off of him and in turn off the bed. “There. Now I can get up.”
“Hey!” Jay squeaked, now awake from the tumble.
Kai chuckled, sliding off the mattress and letting his feet hit the carpeted flooring. “I’m going to go eat. You can go back to sleep if you want.” He stood, walking over to the doorway. “You coming or not?”
“Fine! I’m coming!”

Hi!! I have been obsessed with plasma since about late 2017 and at that time I probably read just about every plasma fanfic known to man. or the fandom. Or whatever

It was all Jay's fault, really. Kai refused to think about his own part in this whole mess, because it was so much easier to pin it all on Jay. - News reporters catch sight of Kai and Jay trying wedding cakes, and get the idea they're engaged, which is funny, hilarious even, except... they're not even dating?
starting off strong with the fanfic that probably literally changed my brain chemistry at age 14 and is the reason I got so attached to plasma. I read this probably a billion times and I am almost certain my writing style came from or started from this fic.
I LOVE fake engagement/dating aus and this fic is literally the reason I have like 5 in my wips for other fandoms. it's so good and it had me hooked every single time I reread it. I believe I owe it a reread soon.

Along with all of this, a new criminal organization on the rise is pushing the strength of the ninja's bonds, threatening them to fall apart.
So uh basically ninjago is gotham now and miraculous ladybug-inspired identity hiding hijinks ensue. (ok hand emoji)
