You have still yet to actually ask Pixiv/Twitter Pokemon artists whether or not they allow people to repost their artwork. The pokemon artwork in the screenshots above belong to artist mayayayayaya7 (twitter) already has a tumblr account here.

I have spoken with the artist, and they told me that they do not allow reprints or reposting of their artwork because they have their own tumblr for this reason.

Yet due to the fact that you did not ask for permission, and you reposted their artwork to your own tumblr, they are very upset over this. This is very disrespectful to the hours they spent working on that piece.

It is not difficult or hard to find a template to ask for permission to repost someone’s art. 

Moreover, if you sincerely cared about how Pixiv/Twitter artists feel, if you genuinely wanted to share that piece with people, you could have kindly asked mayayayayaya7 (twitter) to post that Pokemon artwork to their own tumblr, which I 100% guarantee you that they would have been more than happy to do so.

Instead, not only did you not ask for permission, you didn’t bother to check if they already have a tumblr for posting their art, nor did you try to ask them to post it to their own tumblr for you to reblog.

The artist gains nothing from this, while you gain notes/followers, when you didn’t even draw the art yourself. You’re still taking credit from someone’s else’s work basically even if you put a source.

Please delete that piece, then ask them to post to their own tumblr if you really want to have it on your blog. That Pokemon art that was posted on your blog is not legally posted with the artist’s consent. You did it behind their back.

Also, blocking me just goes to show how mature you are at being held accountable for this issue. It’s basically covering your ears, because you don’t care about correcting your disrespectful actions towards Twitter/Pixiv artists, which is all I’m pointing out. 

Please signal boost this, so that everyone who has liked/reblogged that Latias Pokemon Art is aware and can delete it. Also, since @gourgeist has decided to act like an adult about this, please signal boost so that they are aware of this issue too. I have no way of contacting them (which is their goal by blocking, basically) thru asks, hence why I made this PSA post.

UPDATE: mayayayayaya7 (twitter) themself have responded after being notified of this violation. Their response further verifies that Tumblr User Gourgeist DID NOT ASK THEM OR NOTIFY THEM. 

THEY ARE REQUESTING REMOVAL OF THEIR ARTWORK. 

PLEASE HELP THEM OUT BY DELETING/UNLIKING YOUR POST OF IT!! Even if you haven’t touched the post, please consider spreading this around so more people who have done so will know!

hi! so, my favorite animator recently created a video called Dog of Wisdom.  it was originally featured in another video of his,  Great: The Show episode 7 - Jade II. 

you may recognize the former video. it shows a dog riding in a little red plane in the air, who meets another dog riding on a cloud. it’s so far my favorite animation by joe gran right now.

i’ve seen that multiple people have been reposting joe gran’s dog video without crediting him or linking to the original video.

two such posts are 1) two screenshots of the video without linking to the original video and 2) the entire video posted in tumblr video format without crediting the original animator. this is what the post with the screenshots only looks like:

this post has almost 30,000 notes, while the original post from the animator only has almost 8,000.

so, please, if you see that video, or screenshots from that video, MAKE SURE THAT THE SOURCE IS JOEGRAN.TUMBLR.COM BEFORE YOU REBLOG/LIKE IT. he is the original animator AND poster of the video, so he should be the one getting recognition for this cute little dog video.

Tumblr, we need your help.

This evening as we were arriving at our hotel on the North Carolina coast, we heard a cry in the parking lot.  We thought it might be a cat, so we called for it.  The cry persisted.  Out of the darkness ran a little orange kitten.

The kitten was desperate.  He cried and cried, until we picked him up, put him in our car, and drove around looking for a place to buy cat food after midnight.  We found some at a gas station, along with cat litter, and then we smuggled him up into our hotel room.  We have since bathed him several times to combat the flea infestation from which he was suffering.

Throughout these multiple baths, he has not stopped purring once.  He follows us everywhere.  He wants to be cradled and cuddled constantly, he is especially fond of toes and kisses.

On top of everything, it seems as though his whiskers have been cut.  We don’t know everything this little guy has been through, but he’s clearly had a hard life so far and he deserves so much better. As you all know if you’ve been following me, we already have multiple cats and probably shouldn’t add another to our household.  However, surely someone out there can give this guy a home.

We found him in Morehead City, NC, and will be traveling back up to Chapel Hill. NC on Sunday.  Is there anyone who is interested in this little guy and can meet us to give him a good home?  Please send me or Ash a message if you’re interested.

From someone who worked at starbucks. If you have a milk/dairy allergy AT ALL. DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT. Drink Pumpkin Spice.

It contains dairy IN the syrup that is used to make the drink. Even if you get it made with soy, you will still be getting doses of dairy in there. 

Depending on the severity and intolerance it can and will cause reactions. I found that as a barista I was constantly warning people about the dairy in the product. No one ever seemed to tell them that there was dairy in the mix. More times than I can count I heard people realize that’s why they kept having reactions, or that’s why it made them sick.

People legitimately do not know that pumpkin spice no matter what you do will always contain some amount of dairy.
