Anonymous is calling for a national “day of rage” in response to Sandra Bland 

In a video uploaded to YouTube by an account named AnonIntelGroup, which already has more than 1 million views, persons claiming to be affiliated with the enclave pointed to discrepancies in the official police story on Bland’s death. In the video description, the account owner makes demands action from every police chief in the country.

I’m sick of seeing apparently ‘LGBT inclusive’ posts that completely disregard my sexuality. I want to know who out there believes that I and others like me exist and have a valid sexuality. 

I walked onto my campus to see this today.

I came down a set of stairs, to see this before me. My heart stopped in my chest, I stopped talking mid sentence. I was paralyzed with fear. I could only see the bold red swastika, I couldn’t read the signs.

How could they just display a notorious hate symbol - the Nazi swastika - out in the open like that?

I was very abruptly reminded I am Jewish and this is not a safe place for me. In before “it’s a Buddhist symbol” - it’s red and not facing the right way. That’s a Nazi Swastika.

I want it to be known that the University of South Carolina did not stop this. Multiple students, myself included, came forward, expressing feeling unsafe, or distaste and disgust and asked for its removal. The university defended their ability to fly a hate symbol that strikes fear and memories of horror into minority students – because they weren’t really Nazis, they were protestors arguing for “free speech” and “anti-censorship”. 

Nevermind that I panicked as I was led away by a friend. Nevermind that I was reminded I could very easily be at risk. Nevermind that I felt scared and unsafe and worried for other Jewish students. Nevermind that I confronted them and explained how uncomfortable and scared it made me - how I told them I’d met Neo-Nazis face to face - how my own extended family had been murdered in the Holocaust - that they would never understand that fear.

What the University of South Carolina doesn’t realize is, they have set a very scary precedent.

It’s okay if you fly a hate flag, or have a hate symbol as your icon. So long as you don’t actually *say* ‘wow I hate Jews’ you’re fine, it’s your “freedom”; What this means is, any antisemite, any Neo-Nazi or Nazi-sympathizer, can now proudly display a swastika… so long as they don’t actually SAY they’re a Nazi. What this means is, this campus just became a whole lot less safe for Jews. Now we have to work twice as hard to stay safe.

Cop Accused Of Raping a Girl At the Gunpoint Was Justified

A Boynton Beach police officer was just found not guilty after he offered a stranded 20-year-old girl a ride home and was accused of bringing her to an empty field and brutally raping her at gunpoint.

Officer Stephen Maiorino, 35, was charged with armed sexual battery, armed kidnapping and unlawful compensation or reward for official behavior last year after police discovered his disgusting actions on the night of October 15.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was left stranded downtown after a friend she was riding with was arrested on DUI charges. According to the police report, Maiorino offered the young woman a ride to the station so she could wait for someone to pick her up.

At this point, a waking nightmare began for the young woman in Maiorino’s car. Maiorino did drive her to the police station, but when she tried to get out of the car, he grabbed her and told her that if she didn’t perform oral sex on him, he would arrest her, according to the police report.

Obviously fearful of this psycho cop, she agreed, and the officer drove off 20 blocks north of the department, which is located near the intersection of Seacrest and Boynton Beach boulevards, to an abandoned field.

Maiorino then held the young woman at gunpoint and forced her to strip naked. He then forced her to the hood of his car and raped her, according to the report. She said she was facedown, held in place on the hood with his right hand. During the assault, she told police, she looked back at her attacker and saw the gun in his left hand.

Investigators found the condom Maiorino used to allegedly rape the woman in the field the next day.

According to the report, when Maiorino was finished raping the woman, he told her that if she told anyone, he would kill her and her family.

On Tuesday, the cries of the alleged victim, his 21-year-old accuser, filled the courtroom as the words “not guilty” were read out loud.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, she wailed, “No! No!” before her dad held her as she stumbled out the door. She screamed and cried out, “Why?” before being helped onto an elevator.

The defense’s case was that this hero veteran police officer messed up and had consensual sex while on duty last October.

Maiorino never had to take the stand.

His entire case was based on building him up while breaking down and discrediting the young woman. The defense claimed that the woman only fabricated this story as to later attempt to get money from the department.

Unlike Maiorino, the woman did take the stand. “That would make me the most evil human being in the whole world,” she said, calling the allegations a fabrication “a disgusting thing to do to ruin someone’s whole life.”

The defense went on to say that the young woman craved sex on the patrol car “perhaps to be cool.”

They used a photo of her in high school posing on the hood of a car in a “strikingly similar position” as proof that she was lying about the rape.

Despite their entire case relying on defaming a young woman, the jury sided with the cop — likely for obvious reasons.

That’s incredible. Photo of a girl posing on the hood of a car can justify a rapist in future. Girl’s words meant less for trial than Maiorino’s silence (he haven’t to take the stand). This is police officer’s privilege – the uniform makes him look safe or at least he can order you to anything because you have to cooperate with police – there were many cases when cops were justified even after murders when the victim didn’t listen for cop’s orders. So police can afford all kinds of bad crimes legally. That’s unbelievable.

I made a post about a week ago about 4 cats who need a home, one of the cats is staying with her original owner. So these three boys are left.

Chub Chub is a long haired orange/white cat. He has a lot of mats that I couldn’t brush out. 

He’s very vocal and very friendly

He doesn’t like to use the litterbox though, he also lives with 5 other cats right now and they all share one litter box. I don’t know if this is a medical issue or a temperment issue.

I’ve had very limited contact with him along with all the other cats.

This is Henry, he’s very shy and likes to hide under furniture. He has no problems using a litterbox and is very sweet but extremly timid.

Oreo, he’s one of the Maine Coons I mentioned, he has long dark fur and is almost completly matted. I’ve told my friend he needs to see a professional groomer to remove the mats. Like Chub Chub, he doesn’t like to use the litterbox. 

Note: Chub Chub and Oreo do use a litterbox but only if it’s completely clean

The Devastation of a Super Typhoon

This is Saipan, a tiny but beautiful U.S. territory out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This is where I was born and raised. This is my home.

On Aug. 2, 2015, it was hit directly by Earth’s most powerful storm this year: Super Typhoon Soudelor. It was the worst typhoon our island has seen in a decade, and it was devastating. It is now in a state of emergency and flagged a “disaster area.”

Damaged cars, telephone poles, roofs, fallen trees amongst other debris now dominates this once beautiful island. These pictures are just a tiny fraction of all the damage taken from Super Typhoon Soudelor.

The airports and seaports were shut down. Emergency relief planes could not land for a time, because debris had to be removed from the airstrips.

The first plane to fly in held people from FEMA.

Entire homes have been claimed, leaving over 350 families homeless and living in makeshift shelters at various schools around the island, shelters which have been maxed out.

Amongst these people are my friends and family who have lost almost everything. (My own mom and sister had to take shelter in a neighbor’s home after a portion of our roof ripped off. They were nearly trapped in there, unable to open the door because the pressure in the house was too strong. I have several other family members and friends who have had their homes damaged.)

After the storm, a total of two Shell gas stations were up and operational. The lines for gas at each station were at least two miles long. Because of a 500 gallon leakage in the storage tanks into the port of Saipan, residents are only allowed $20 worth of gas each to help conserve the dwindling supply.

Only small sections of the island have running water, and the only power that is available is that through generators.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, and relief efforts are underway. Saipan is going to be only one of many victims of the strongest storm of the year.

The hardest thing for me about this situation is that I’m not there, and I can’t help them recover from this. Spreading the word is literally the only thing I can do that is within my power, and I’m asking for you to do the same.
