Venus rules over aesthetic sense and these include matters like song & melody, beauty and anything to do with the arts… signs affiliated with Venus can posses artistic gifts; Taurus, Libra and Pisces (exalt) have the vision of Venus and thus an “eye for beauty.” They are very in-tune with music, fashion, art and dance. They may enjoy and appreciate things like participating in art museums, fashion displays, orchestras, music studios, or stage productions of plays
Neptune and moon are fantasy dreams and mystical imagination, Cancer and Pisces are drawn to things like film, photography, illustration, painting, captivating performances and magical writing themes where these mediums become outlets to their vivid concepts
The sun and Leo have ascendancy over the broad idea of creativity as a whole, through self expression, Leo is the Performer and can flourish in any kind of performing arts such as music, dancing, acting and singing. Any planet in the 5th house (ruled by Leo/sun) can show different ways one expresses themselves, this is the house of creative self-expression through what you, the maker, brings to existence
Creations in the 5th house are not limited to artistic perception, for instance mercury in the 5th could make for someone with writing as a personal interest pertaining to the sign it is found in. e.g mercury in Leo in the 5th could like theatrical script writing perhaps, or mercury in Scorpio in the 5th could like dark, mysterious and soulful writing content perhaps in the form of poetry. Expressions are flexible and vary per combination..
When these expressive planets aspect each other the creative essence is powerful and enthralling, like moon contacting Neptune becomes the magician alchemist where their dreams are solidified and brought to life, or Venus contacting sun causes the identity to revolve around such matters and the solar flares flow through Venusian mist, creating heavenly works and spectacular images directly from the spirit
the pisces pain can be this recurring and gnawing inability to cope with present reality and the harsh world as is. emotions can feel physically painful, and the senses can be easily overstimulating. pisces can desire to be somewhere else so badly, at times feeling so exhausted they could sleep until death
I love studying astrological aspects so I decided to make a guide on it! Aspects are measured angles between the planets (and ascendant + MC) that have influence on you. They can also be off by a few degrees, this is called an orb and the smaller orb an aspect has, the stronger it is. They can be positive, negative, or neutral. Neutral aspects can either be positive or negative depending on the planets involved. There are major aspects, minor aspects, and aspect patterns. I’ll go over the first two of those in this post.
Major aspects are aspects that have a bigger significance. Major aspects are…
Conjunction - This is two planets 0˚ away from one another. This is a neutral aspect. The planet’s involved energies are brought together with this aspect so depending on the planets it could either be good or bad.
Sextile - This is two planets that are 60˚ away from one another. This aspect is generally positive. The energies of the planets involved inspire, encourage, and cooperate well with each other.
Square - This is two planets that are 90˚ away from one another. This is a negative aspect to have. The planets energies don’t cooperate and they cause mutually exclusive desires and needs.
Trine - These are two planets that are 120˚ away from one another. This is a positive aspect. The planets involved’s energies work together harmoniously, enriching one another.
Opposition - These are two planets which are 180˚ away from one another. This is generally a negative aspect but it can also be viewed as a neutral aspect, depending on the planets involved. There is tension between these planets energies but this can be motivating.
Minor aspects are aspects that have lesser significance. Minor aspects are…
Semisextile - These are two planets that are 30˚ away from one another. This is a neutral aspect so it can either be positive of negative depending on the planets involved. It can symbolize that the planets involved’s energies can cause a hard-to-discover potential.
Semisquare - These are two planets that are 45˚ away from one another. This is a negative aspect. The energies of the planets involved cause unapparent tension.
Quintile - This is two planets that are 72˚ away from one another. It is a positive aspect. The energies of these planets work together to unleash talent and potential They can point to purposeful uses of one’s talent and this talent usually has to do with art.
Sesquisquare - These two planets are 135˚ away from one another. This is a negative aspect. These two planetary energies cause conflict and tension just like the square except this tension is easier to suppress… making it harder to learn from.
Biquintile - These two planets are 144˚ away from one another. This is a positive aspect. These planets energies are very good for artistic areas. Although people are generally only vaguely aware of the energy from this aspect.
Quincunx/Inconjunct - These two planets are 150˚ away from one another. This is a neutral aspect and arguably the most important of the minor aspects. It give potential that is difficult to release and adjust to.
Well, I hope this helped someone understand aspects better! Feel free to drop any questions you have into my ask box!! Also, please inform me if you would like me to make a post on aspect patterns.
