I used to love writing magical girl stories. Discovering powers and figuring out how to use them.

Mysterious side characters. Could they be enemies? Could they be friends? I usually don't know until we get there lol

Writers/Authors, what are your favorite tropes to write and why?

We need to bring back private rail cars as the cool, sexy, exclusive way to travel, so instead of dumping the carbon budget of a small nation in the global south on private jets, celebrities have to attach their luxury pull an cars to the back of an Amtrak. Then the celebrities will lobby for Amtrak lines to be better

Seriously when did this

We Need To Bring Back Private Rail Cars As The Cool, Sexy, Exclusive Way To Travel, So Instead Of Dumping

Become sexier than this

We Need To Bring Back Private Rail Cars As The Cool, Sexy, Exclusive Way To Travel, So Instead Of Dumping
We Need To Bring Back Private Rail Cars As The Cool, Sexy, Exclusive Way To Travel, So Instead Of Dumping

Like isn't it nice to watch the scenery, to be able to open a window and have fresh air, to be able to stand up all the way, not have your ears pop?

I logged into my deviantart. I used to like perusing the main page for people's art. Everything I clicked was AI generated. I play with Midjourney every once in a while for curiosity and draft ideas, but I never thought to think what is generated is my own. I definitely wouldn't sell it as my own art either.

I didn't realize how disappointed I would be. I love seeing people's art because it shows talent and skill.

Seattle Public Library is doing this awesome program called Books Unbanned that allows teens and young adults (ages 13-26) access to their collection of e-books and e-audiobooks from anywhere in the USA. All you need to do is fill out a simple form and you get their Books Unbanned card. Please share this information far and wide. I know they're not the only ones to have done this, but the more the merrier!

I Was Skeptical With This Series Initially. I Listened To The First Book And I Already Had Some Spoilers

I was skeptical with this series initially. I listened to the first book and I already had some spoilers of who the female leads hook up with. But the way the characters get treated seemed insane that they would hook up with any of the abusing characters.

Still it intrigued me enough that I wanted to know how this was going to happen, so I listened to book two. It was definitely better than the first. The female leads turn around and start fighting back which made the story much more entertaining to follow. I appreciate a little bit of justice. Finished the second book pretty quick and was happy to see book 3 was available.

I'm trying not to speed through these but the Graphic Audio production is great. The actors do a fantastic job. One of the female leads has become one of my favorite voice actresses to follow as I heard her first as Violet Sorrengail in the Fourth Wing production - Khaya Fraites.

However, so far my favorite character is Lance Orion. We'll see how things go :)
