I can never get good photos of the moon, it makes me sad. But then there are plenty of other people who can take photos of the moon so that's good.

I held back on getting my gender changed in the state of Georgia because it required filing a court case and appearing before a judge to prove that I had transitioned enough to warrant calling myself male on my documents. there was a strong possibility they could deny me because I hadn't undergone any type of surgery (a requirement under Georgia law that is waived only sometimes), despite passing as male 100% of the time.

this morning I went to the Maryland vehicle administration building and they had a touch screen with buttons that said "male" and "female."

I paused and asked the lady "I can choose male, right?" and she looked at me (again, I'm just some guy with a beard) (and I think she misheard me) and she was like "Oh! Do you want to be female now?" I said no, my Georgia license (directly in front of her) says female, they wouldn't let me change it, can I be male now?

she said to just pick whichever I wanted. I got my updated license in 5 minutes.

I am so fucking tired of when I say a massive casualty figure people just say "yeah" like it's fucking ok to have 20-70,000,000 people die in a war that no one's ever heard of and isn't even called a war half the time. Like it's fucking ok that 2 million people died in the american civil war.

Indont get what everyone's fetish is with death. There's no fucking glory in in death, no honor or pride to be had in killing people. All dying accomplishes is leaving behind broken people. Let's just force a bunch of children to fight each other, then take a video of them being terrified of a military uniform and call them fucking cowards for being traumatized after watching their friends die. PH, you have money? Then you don't have to go, definitely not a feudal levy system, no siree. We just force marginalized groups and poor people to fight wars while the rich people get to sit at home and complain about not having chocolate. Even our war heroes don't think there's glory in war. The reason Audie Murphy jumped on that tank was because they were hurting his friends, it was vengeance. The day you earn a medal of honor is often described as the worst day of your life.

One time I had something that I thought was very simple set up. One of the players was absent so I thought I'd make a cool little quest for them to go on once they finished the one they were on by setting up a trap to send the absent player to the Astral plane once they walked through the door to a vault.

They refused to cut and run (with the copious amount of gold that they would have gotten) and spent a huge amount of time doing perception checks on things that weren't hiding anything. They rolled four nat 1s in a row, so they went temporarily blind and God explained a few things.

So then they went to the Astral plane and got the party member back and one of them got a rabbit made of sand as a familiar. So all in all it went pretty well I guess.
