Have you experienced Art Block before? If you did, how did you get through it?

I did. So. Many. Times. And I still do. In that case I usually get really mad at myself for like, a day or two (but no spoiler, it doesn’t work). Forcing myself to draw doesn’t help either, so I just kinda wait till I find inspiration again ! You can make the most of this time to absorb. Watch new series. Play. Read. Hang out with friends. Look at strangers. You wanna do anything that can give you inspiration !

As an artist who used to take requests, I can assure you that if you’re experiencing an art block, now is the time to get the thirty requests that have been waiting in you ask box for months done.

Still, taking care of yourself and maybe doing a little introspection are the number #1 ways to get through an art block gently ! Take it easy and don’t rush into it. You’ll be able to create again, probably sooner than you think.

Unanswered Questions in Steven Universe

I know a lot of people seemed to think that finding out how Pink Diamond was shattered was sort of the “end game” for Steven Universe. But there’s still a lot of things we don’t know and a lot of answers that need clearing up to keep the series going for quite some time.

Lapis and Peridot reconciliation

Lapis still has a lot of character growth to go through. I think it’s pretty clear that eventually she will return and patch things up with Peridot. Peridot can’t keep living in Steven’s bathroom after all.

Centipeetle, Jasper, and the Gem Monsters

There’s still a task of trying to heal the corrupted gems. A lot of people are looking forward to Steven helping Centipeetle and Jasper overcome the corruption.

Lars of the Stars

Lars of course needs to return back to Earth and let the Off-Colors join the Crystal Gems. Even if Steven reconciles with the Diamonds, there’s still centuries of bigotry and hatred towards imperfections that needs to be healed, both on Earth and on Homeworld.

The Human Zoo, Amethysts, and the other Rose Gems

The Humans need to be reintegrated into normal Earth culture and life, along with the Amethysts on the Zoo and the bubbled Rose Gems.

The Cluster

One of the biggest looming threats and mysteries is the Cluster. I know it seems like it’s been “dealt with” back in Season 2.. but with the new information that Rose was Pink Diamond, there’s a lot of unanswered questions. Did she know about it? From Pearl’s reaction it would seem that they didn’t even know it was going on and was instead spearheaded by Yellow Diamond behind Pink/Rose’s back. How will that affect the group and how will Steven deal with it’s potential unbubbling? Will he be able to piece together shards and bring back some of the gems? When did it even happen? Was it AFTER the Diamond attack? Or was it started secretly before?

So while the answer to Pink Diamond’s shattering has finally been revealed, there’s still a ton of things for the show to address.

I really love Steven in these shots. He is so calm and tired, and still adorable. <3

I feel so bad for Rebecca honestly. She had so much planned for the show, and stated herself that she didn't know if they had anything else planned after season 5 because CN didn't confirm it until CYM had been completely written. Afterwards, they greenlit Future, which is why it's written the way it was. So here's some stuff Rebecca had said she wanted to get into or stuff that the writers had confirmed would happen until all of the aforementioned.

Amethyst backstory episode (where Rose is very motherly.), An episode about Rose deciding to have Steven, an episode regarding Rhodonite's backstory, an episode with Morganite (who even had a canon design!), Mystery Girl's return, why the Zircon's were "in trouble.", Spinel and the diamonds still having "problems to settle out.", what happens when a gem is left in the dark too long, Lapis lore, backstory, and details about her powers, an episode about Lars discovering his lion powers.

All of this stuff was mentioned by some of the crew but I don't blame them for none of it getting to be made. I can tell they wanted to do so much more, but over the years the Steven Bomb format was set up and the crew had to start writing the story in small clusters of episodes to air in bomb format rather than how it was formerly written. I just wish the crew had gotten more say in their show's airing format because over the last few years CN has had some serious bias against their animated shows regarding TTG. Hopefully with their new CEO and management (who was a former showrunner!) each creator gets equal say in how their show is run.

I’ve been reading and watching both the Houseki no Kuni manga and anime, and I’m loving it… So I made a Houseki no Kuni version of my gemsona Chrysolite.

I know it looks sketchy, but you get the idea 😃
