the red kite is a large raptor found in parts of europe and northwestern europe. the sexes are identical - other than females being significantly larger than males. they primarily feed on small mammals, such as mice, shrews, and voles; a large portion of the diet is also composed of carrion, and some households intentionally feed these birds by leaving out meat such as chicken. in spring, earthworms are also an important food for red kites. pair bonds are typically renewed yearly, with both parents assisting in raising the chicks.

the azure-hooded jay is a large corvid species found in middle america. they prefer tropical and subtropical forest habitats, where they forage for fruits in the canopy. they are omnivorous, and primarily feed on fruits and berries, but also on dead animals and insects. little is known about this bird due to its secretive nature, but it can be inferred from closely related species that they are likely very social and intelligent creatures.
