Here's another Prelude To Ecstasy snippet!
Benedict stared at his sister, taking in her earnest expression, the plea in her eyes. The two of them shared a bond that none of their other siblings quite understood, a bond forged from being a pair of imposters, tripping and falling over themselves while others glided around them, content with their position in society. Benedict, being a gentleman in society, had his freedoms. His sister, on the other hand, was effectively caged by the rules of polite society. And Benedict, for all his worries, refused to be one of her jailers.
Thinking about that time I tried to convince my friend that Theo was coming back for season three and she was like, "Girl, you're delusional," and I was flailing around like, "No, listen--"
...she was right.

I'm going to share some Modern AU headcanons about Theloise because I thought about this a lot while writing The Manuscript:
Not only are they both coffee addicts, they both have the same order! Here's a snippet from an old WIP of mine where they reunite after a decade:
Theo passed Eloise her coffeeâone cream, one sugar, same as alwaysâbefore sitting down with his own coffeeâalso one cream, one sugar, same as always.
2. I can see Theo working at a publishing company (sort of the modern-day version of a print shop), working as a political journalist, or working as a lawyer! Similarly, I can see Eloise as a lawyer or in academia. I can also see them getting involved with organizations like the UN, or some non-profit organizations.
Regardless of their occupation, political activism is very important to them!
3. I like to think Eloise and Theo would enjoy reading from more modern-day female authors like Sally Rooney, Toni Morrison, Joan Didion, etc.
4. Eloise's favourite Jane Austen novel is Emma, while Theo's is Persuasion. I actually have an old WIP where Penelope and Colin spy on Eloise and Theo and overhear them arguing over the best Austen novel (their arguments are very surface level though because I'm not very well-versed in Austen lol).
5. I can see Theo being friends with people like Benedict, Colin, and Footman John! Maybe Kate, as well?
6. Eloise has a fear of spiders. No, I'm totally not projecting (đ¤Ą).
(But Theo kills them for her so it's all good.)
Also I just noticed the question only asks for one headcanon...oh, well. Thanks for the ask! <3
The same crowd that gets on Eloiseâs neck about being rich and privileged and unaware of how hard other peopleâs lives are is the same crowd that trashed her for spending time with Theo, seeing more of the world outside of the ton, learning more about womenâs rights and the world around her and called her selfish for wanting more than to spend her life as a manâs trophy-on-a-shelf
Almost like you guys donât actually want her to grow and expand her worldview, youâre just waiting for Scumbag Ph*lip to come and completely destroy her spirit and punish her for thinking she could possibly do more with her life than be a wife and mother
And what exactly was so selfish about her spending time with Theo? You guys love Benophie as if the class difference isnât also a factor there
going crazy and emotional over every tiny benedict and eloise season 3 bts crumbs
