Can we bring back ‘if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything’. I’m kinda sick of every joke about trans groups on here just being mean. We are in a world that already hates trans people so much so why add more hate to it. Even if it’s just joking. Especially in public places like social media where you are just inviting cis people to joke about how much they think trans people and trans art is ‘cringey’ and ‘lame’.

You know a camp lazlo episode is gonna be a banger (well all of the ones I’ve seen so far are) when Slug boi Slinkman gets the focus. I get why Tom Kenny considers him his fave character to voice:)

So why should we? Why should we waste what energy we have on you who are conned and comfortable. Why should we beg you for affection when you literally voted to kill us?

If you want to pretend politics don’t exist for a few hours maybe you should be alone every holiday until you wake up to your own compliance with fascism.

at the risk of beating a long dead horse. i just. there were MANY valid reasons to dislike kamala harris as a politician and i do understand why a lot of people were not thrilled to have her as the democratic nominee. but at the end of the day, everyone understood that only one of two things would happen after the election: either she would win or trump would. that's IT. there was never going to be a revolution that took the corrupt system down overnight, or a miraculous reformation of the electoral college that allowed [insert your preferred 3rd party candidate here] to win at the last second. it was always, always, ALWAYS going to be her or him, and most of the people who refused to vote for her on moral grounds frankly should've known that.

and here's the thing. i think most of them DID know that, they just expected her to win - and, let's be honest, WANTED her to win, not because they actually wanted her in office, but because anyone with a brain could see she was still the lesser evil to trump. (if you come on this post with "both parties/candidates are the same" bullshit, i will block you because frankly at this point there is no getting through to you, at least not for me.) i think a lot of leftists who hated her policies (again, often for valid reasons) decided they could afford to not vote because they expected everyone else to get their hands dirty and vote her in. they expected her to win, and trump to be gone, and then they could stay on their high horse and feel good that they didn't have to compromise.

except everyone else didn't vote her in. and now we're stuck with trump for the next 4 years. and now our best hope for the next election is probably someone who will start to clean up his mess rather than implement any major progressive policies, because that takes longer than 4 years, and it also takes having people in congress who will work with you.

and obviously the real blame here lies with the people who voted for the fascist, and the fascist himself, and the system that protects him. i'm not denying that. but i do really feel like a lot of the leftist non-voters took a gamble and it backfired really fucking hard.
